Great I live in Nokomis. We constantly lose power even if it’s a little sunshower nobody in our county will do anything about it. We lose power every single time so just because I am super sick waiting on surgery it’s gonna be a hot one on Thursday or Friday or both.😢😢😢
I live in Fort Myers and stayed in my house during Ian, because we were assured that the storm was going north up to Tampa. The eye went right over me. Almost lost everything. Everyone between me and the beach was destroyed. Has anyone apologized for that? 😮
That's what the hurricanes do every time they get in the Gulf the same thing happens, It's all a guess, They tell us the same thing every time, The big word here is ""Could"", Over and over again ""Could"", Is the keyword,
this fella is a good communicator. should wear a baseball cap with NO BS on it. so many of these podcasters are just either full of theirselves or full of excrement. this guy doesn't mince or waste words. the saffir-simpson scale is stupid at best. inconsistent bands of measurement for categories of intensity of winds. once you get up to 130 mph of wind it matters little if you are 128 or 132 mph. the s-s scale only serves to distort the difference between the categories so that people who work with them everyday know the parameters, and only serve to confuse the general public. cat 1 is 20 mph wide, then cat 2 is 14 mph wide, then cat 3 is 18 mph wide, then cat 4 is 26 mph wide. stupid.
Storm chasing should be against the law but it’s not so that means the law does not care because if they did they would not let anybody be out trying to chase a hurricane because it’s very stupid and dangerous and it’s nothing to brag about.

Great presentation
This is excellent information!!!
This is a bad case of Dejavu, this is like IAN all over again. And I'm in Clearwater
God, I hope it's not like Ian again. I don't think I can take that again. 😩
As much as we need rain in N AL, I would rather it not come at the cost of others. 🙁
So you're telling me we can't use nukes? Has anyone got a Sharpie?
Dropping knowledge, love it!

@@c.b.-11 will have to start saving my money definitely a good investment
Hoping the best for you, Susan.
What are the chances that this storm could track in a more Easterly direction, closer to the Tampa Bay area?
not likely. get a tiny bit of wind and a lot of rain.
Surprise they do not say "THE WORST STORM IN 1000 YEARS!!!!
I like this presentation
There should not be an apostrophe in "its". But I gotta say, GREAT explainer on the advisory schedule!

8:00 should answer your question
Apologize for what? Because God sent it your way? It's not like NOAA scheduled it to hit your area.
lol
And they said fm was the corrected landfall. You DECIDED to stay no one forced you to or to live in Florida !!!!!

@@MoniCharli677But we did get tornadoes spin off from Ian. Delray Beach got an EF-2 that destroyed a retirement community. 🙏🏾
We need a "State of Readiness" mindset prior to official "State of Emergency" announcements. Hurricane veterans know this.
Watching From western SC surprised gov hasn't declared state of Emergency yet but I'm sure they will before Thursday
it gonna hit between new Orleans and Panama city beach. Watch and see

What about hurricane Debby about a month and a half ago? Or am I mistaken?
Hopefully the FEMA aid will be denied. Why does the rest of the country have to burden Florida's loses every year. Let Desantes figure it out.
