At 4min04: the 5 francs 1823 Q 🥰 Superb 2 Mexican coins of 5 pesos. I have one from each year, 1947 and 1948, their design is magnificent.

Yeah, there are businesses that aren't really about the coins or the stuff that they sell, but they are specifically interested in things like volume and value, so they deal in high end things with no emotion, and they deal in volume. In other words, someone who doesn't have any attachment to the product and is specifically concerned with the number of dollars or the % profit that they are making on a daily basis. There are some business, usually gambling, that track their profits even by the hour. To each his own I suppose. I guess, in some sense, there is a place for that, but when one's only concern or motivation appears to be greed, the impression they give me suffers a bit. I prefer dealing with people who have some skin in the game and care about what they are doing beyond how much they are making. Sometimes that hard to find, even when you deal with coin dealers. I occasionally frequent places that begrudgingly sell bullion, but they make it clear that they are always pining for the days when they dealt almost exclusively with collectors. These are people who see the glory days as those happening between about 1982 to 2007. After that, they say things have gone down hill. Other coins shops seem to love the shift and get annoyed when collectors come in with magnifiers and books wanting to spend 15 or 20 minutes examining single coins that they may or may not purchase. If you stack or collect long enough, you run in to all of this stuff. I used to buy from a lot of places that had almost no knowledge of what they were selling to begin with. This is pretty common at antique shops, for example. Given that they deal with historical treasures, you'd think they'd be a little more informed, but I often find that they know ZERO about what they are selling. They're literally just making you pay whatever the person who's purchased space in their shop has priced the merchandise to be. Sorry you struck out! Enjoyed the following Fish video a lot! This was a good look at things that are bound to happen to average stackers and collectors. Good video in any case. Keep stacking/collecting!

The Cuban notes are cool. Always interesting to see what fiat from around the world looks like or has looked like in the past. Ah well, maybe you can trade up at a later date with that quarter. I love those old & large Mexican Silver coins. I buy the similar Aztec type rounds all the time. If I had to pick my faves, I'm probably going to go with the Krug & Britannia. Great video!
