    It seems to me you did your due diligence. you compared apples to apples. thoughtful perspective, got to the point quickly and on target. no inappropriate or high volume music, or adolescent jokes. it's obvious to the casual observer you didn't have a dog in this race. you let the products speak for themselves. as a consumer, that's the very most I can ask of a reviewer. you hit a home run. thank you for your professionalism.

    Thanks everyone for tuning in! As many have already pointed out, the tachometer can apparently be locked in place by going into the settings on the MAIN display not within the multi-function display. Take that new info as you will and adjust the points accordingly. Apparently, only owners seem to find out about after they have had it for a while. Thanks for your patience 👍

    I really hate how Honda are putting turbos in their cars these days. Mine started to have issues after 2 years. They're really fun, but not worth the headache when something does happen. Honda has really fallen off with their reliability ranking. The only good thing going for Honda is how their tech inside the cabin are much nicer than Toyota... while Toyota finally just got Android Auto and Apple Carplay this year.

    Less than 1% of the people who buy an Accord or Camry will ever push them around the corner. Seeing another car reviewer talk about this nonsense is truly frustrating.
    The Accord has a CVT and Turbo engine - both would be questionable in terms of longevity. I was hoping to hear something about that.
    It also would have been nice to hear about the ride quality (how smooth they drive on regular roads rather than how they handle in the corner), engine noise, cabin noise, and how comfortable they would be for long distance driving.

    Subtract 0.5 from Accord and add it to Camry for more reasonable 18" wheels over 19" in a standard car. Subtract another point from the Accord for the CVT instead of 8-10 speed transmission. Add 2 points to the Camry for reliability then you have the real winner. Both great cars, but recently, I've been reading a lot about Honda not fixing there issues like oil dilution, electrical fires, air bags etc. Understandably, Honda is a much smaller company than Toyota and can't afford to fix these problems. If you want to go fast, choose Honda, if you want reliable and save money, choose Toyota.

    Just to point out, the 1.5T sport in canada is based off the EX trim, so there is a sunroof, smart entry system with remote start, rear seat air vents (maybe), heated front seats (maybe), mirror turn signals and Honda LaneWatch instead of BSM (in Canada, BSM is reserved for the touring trim where mid trims get lanewatch, so americans are lucky for that feature)

    Great job guys! The Toyota will probably be more reliable but Honda also has just as good of a track record as Toyota. The turbo engine is fairly new so that may raise eyebrows for many but the extra torque is what I would prefer from the Accord Sport. Looks are subjective but I also love the wheels on the accord. The interior also feels much more high tech than the Camry. The plastics in the Camry are horrific and even though the rear is soft touch it's hardly a plus for that car. Either way, you guys did great and can't wait to meet again!

What does it matter what it is if it it does the job and it does it well? I also had a Camry 18 rental for like a week and the transmission was SO damn jerky, the cvt in my accord is so smooth and responsive. And it doesn’t drone.

    As someone who keep my cars for a decade or more until they fall apart, I prefer the naturally aspirated engine of the Camry. The lack of a turbo is one less engine weakness to worry about. I have a 2019 Camry SE with the 2.5L Inline-4. I love it. I also chose to have a conventional key with it. Having a push button Start does sound nice....until something goes wrong and you have to pay to get it fixed with your own money. $1000? No problem. A key replacement/reprogramming would cost around $200-$300. A Camry I would buy to own. An Accord? I will only lease it.

But the Camry offers a quieter ride, a higher ride height, slightly better visibility, and both the four cylinder and V6 are port injected and are less likely to get carbon build up. I also prefer the Camry's V6 due to it being more refined, smoother, and sounding better than the Accord's turbo four cylinder engine.

Both are great quality vehicles but I have to agree the Accord Sport 1.5T had a few more special features compared to the SE Camry. To me their body styles truly set them apart. Do you want more agressive styling or a more sleek refined styling. Everytime I see this generation Camry's driving down the road I notice how aggressive looking the front fascia looks. When I see this generation Accord driving down the street I notice a sleek refined LED headlights and a polished brow. These are just observations and whatever styling appeals to you go for it! I had 1997 and 2006 Camry. I bought a new 2018 Camry SE. I don’t know where to start!! first year, I had engine check light on. Under factory warranty, Took it to dealership. They clear the code and did not repair anything. This car DOES NOT have side air vent for front side windows defog. It takes long time to clear all side windows. Using windshield wiper blade, you will feel the vibration. After turning off wiper blade, wipers go down and than they try to kick back out. Turn on ac and I notice two center ac vent flow less air than side air vent. Top dashboard is very light. Press it with your fingers right above center air vent. It seems to me if I press little to hard it will break. Check out little storage box under steering wheel left side. Mine broke and came to my hand one day. I am not kidding!! front bumper and the fander , plastic cover above wheel, two of the joint got lose and opened about an inch. I had to push them back and closed it. Try closing doors. It sounds very wired. They don’t sound solid at all. Lane assist works very poorly. Many times I drive over lane and car does not notice anything. Sometimes it will pull back inside lane after it passed the lane. I drove 2020 Kia Soul and it never miss lane keep assisting . Lane keep assisting works very well in Kia Soul. Otherwise, New camry is very smooth comfort driving. Front collision warning works very well. I liked the head lamp. It’s very bright at night. Toyota manufacture need to revise this version of camry. Soon, This was my third camry and I am very disappointed.

    I’ve been enjoying your reviews for a couple of year# now, and really like your content and format, and the way you present it. I like that you try hard to be fair in awarding points in these comparison reviews. On this one, you show the MPG for the Camry as “28/29/32” when it should be “39” for Hwy. Although you are correct that the Combined ratings are too close to award any points, to my mind comparing the 39 vs 35 highway mileage could be worth at least half a point for the Camry. That is for a comparison of those two specific models, but it is worth noting that Accord LX, EX, and EX-L score 30 city, 38 hwy, 33 combined with the 1.5T & CVT; the Touring shares the Sport’s ratings (29/35/31). Also you could get the Accord 1.5T Sport with a 6-speed manual, for what that may be worth to anybody.

    • @JohnR200
      @JohnR200 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      ...and other Camry models with 2.5 and 8-speed can get 29/41/34, which I meant to say in my comment.
