I wish the pro ambi had a bolt hold. To me thats more convenient than a bolt release. When you get malfunctions its nice to be able to lock the bolt back without moving your hands all over the gun

I'm saving for a Type A Pro 13.7". These look like extremely well made AR15s.

@@defconcreative I wish I had a Type A retailer near me. Texas seems to be hub. Thanks for making the video on the ambi controls. I'm pretty sure this is the only video available on TH-cam that shows and explains Type A's (BG Defense) design.
I'm well versed in quality AR15s and this AR15 still excites me.

I owned my Standard + for maybe two weeks. I wasn't impressed. Firstly, the castle nuts aren't staked or torqued properly. I did a reverse torque on the low end and it came lose before the standard torque range for a castle nut. Staking is free and TDP. This isn't coming from some SOTAR dork or anything either. It's just a basic expectation. It was very gassy suppressed. More-so than any Triarc or BCM with similar barrel lengths. It appears as though they just use Rosco as their OEM. I expect something with a more modern barrel contour, at least from a "high end" rifle. Other obvious QPQ parts and OEMs left a lot to be desired. If you're reading this and spending somewhere in the market of 1800 - 2000 on a rifle, grab a Geissele Super Duty, Triarc, BCM , + a few others instead.
You couldn't be more incorrect. There are very few parts BG Defense doesn't make in-house, and the barrel definitely isn't one of them. *They* are the oem for other companies. Not the other way around. Secondly, you bought the standard, not the pro or the contractor. And lastly, their end plate is made from hardened 4140. And since you have the torque wrench, torque it to what you think it should be and quit whining.

I don’t know what their timeline is but my 11.5 pro took 7 months to get delivered
It depends on the Rail/specs etc. I know the ambis are just now getting out there, and the Adjustable gas system has been hard to keep stocked up on so the lead times for pros and contractors has been kinda long.
Can you lock the bolt to the rear from the right(ejection port) side of the receiver?
I know my LMT lowers I can idk if I will be able to with my contractor.
