Bro. Thank you. Just installed an optic and was testing it out. My extractor literally shot off while I was shooting. At night. In the woods. So luckily I have a high powered magnet. Was able to find it. Reassembled. Just was cycling rounds seeing why the extractor failed. It came off again. This time in a controlled setting. Looked up your video. I was not rotating the pin to lock the extractor in place. So thank you. Got it locked in and cycled a full mag no issues. It is worth mentioning this is my first sig. And they are a little more "particular" than glocks. Hahaha
You Sir are a scholar and a gentleman! this video saved me a huge amount of trouble, having watched a few similar ones and gone ahead and pulled down my 320, for the life of me I couldn't figure out why I was unable to secure my extractor - it was the twist of the plunger, everyone else assumed that someone new to the firearm knew this, you showed every step and explained each one - great instructional technique on your part and a big fail on theirs! Thanks again.
Thank you for showing how to secure the extractor as well. I just lost mine in the shooting range because I thought if the plunger goes in the extractor is secure, but now I know to twist it first.
Very nice video. I like that you did this without over explaining or spending 5 minutes telling me how “qualified” you are! LOL. Great job, you have a new subscriber!
Thank you boss big help. I cleaned my gun and shot it. Shot the extractor out cuz I assembled it incorrectly hahaha just got the gold ti extractor this helped a bunch
If cleaning out the striker channel doesn't work, I would take that back to where you purchased it and have it sent in to Sig because that is BS, and there Might be an underlying issue that cannot be easily resolved.
@@ThePortableHam thanks for the advise! I cleaned out the striker channel. If problem persists on my next Range session I will leave it with someone at the shop so that the issue is addressed.
A test to perform to ensure proper reassembly is to see if you can pry the extractor out after reassembly. If you can, then the pin behind the extractor was not rotated into position where it drops in. If that happens to you, the extractor will fall out in a few shots.
as of right now I have roughly about 2000 rounds through my Sig Sauer I do pull it occasionally just to check for debris in the channel and just swap it out real quick
Bartee98 with what I've noticed it doesn't get very dirty quickly but occasionally I do pull it to fur cleaning and to inspect the striker to make sure nothing's broken
Watched several clips on removal, cleaning and reassembly of striker mechanism. Seems simple enough. No one mentions lubrication. Does this area require lubrication after cleaning and if so what's the best lub to use?
How do you put that small spring back in.? I put it on but it won’t click for me rn. It won’t let the striker fall in all the way because of that spring
I would need to see what you're actually talking about If you would like you can contact me on Facebook and you can instant message me over there or video call if you're availablem.facebook.com/home.php?confirmed_account&refsrc=http%3A%2F%2Faccounts.google.com%2Fo%2Foauth2%2Fauth&_rdr
nice and easy now similar to Glocks, can buying a reduced poundage spring, reduce trigger pull weight....just like Glocks??? seems as tough it may, but just wanna ask.
my extractor isn't grabbing my round. I try to chamber a round and the slide gets stuck 7/8 of the way closed and is hung up on the extractor. I cant figure out what's causing this problem?
I had this problem after I installed a red dot on my slide. I failed to get the plunger thing to seat in the extractor properly and thus the extractor did not stick out far enough to work properly. when I disassembled it again I found that my extractor spring was slightly bent however when I installed it properly the slide operated as expected.
ho! a question about the p320 for you the little hole on the slide, near the striker Channel and near the extractor, what is the function? is a hole from the striker Channel or from extractor Channel? thank you
Stefano Mapo that's a good question I'm looking at it right now and it really just looks like lightning cuts but let me look into it a little more and I'll get back with you with a proper answer
Civilian Arms channel thank you! because no doubt for the another hole for the weight, but the another is too small, maybe go into the striker Channel or extractor Channel. I haven't the p320 but I want to buy one and I'm glad with you if you can remove this my curiosity I'm so curious !
Stefano Mapo so I just talked to Sig and they're telling me all three holes are for slide lightning so the slide properly Cycles I do hope that answers your question if you have any other questions feel free to ask

Thank you for the video. Thanks to how well you made it, i was able to get my replacement extractor in 1st try.
I'm glad I could help
Best video I have seen on the subject. Thanks.

Thanks man! I was cleaning my X Compact after jumping to the river to safe my kid.. I forgot how to mounted back!!

Thank you boss big help. I cleaned my gun and shot it. Shot the extractor out cuz I assembled it incorrectly hahaha just got the gold ti extractor this helped a bunch
Thanks, that was very well explained. I like your style.
I was wondering why my M18 wasn't extracting my shells.
My extractor is gone.
Great instructions!! Very clear. Thank you.
great video ! Damn little spring !
I literally fucking love you😂😂 you saved my baby
Thank you good sir. My m18 doesn’t even have 500 rounds through it and it’s already giving me light striker fire pin issues.

Michael Frazier no problem I'm glad I could help
Saved me a trip
as of right now I have roughly about 2000 rounds through my Sig Sauer I do pull it occasionally just to check for debris in the channel and just swap it out real quick
Thanks for the great video. one question, does the rear of the striker assembly get very dirty and need to be disassembled and cleaned occasionally?
Bartee98 with what I've noticed it doesn't get very dirty quickly but occasionally I do pull it to fur cleaning and to inspect the striker to make sure nothing's broken
Watched several clips on removal, cleaning and reassembly of striker mechanism. Seems simple enough. No one mentions lubrication. Does this area require lubrication after cleaning and if so what's the best lub to use?
Very light lubrication is all you need
How do you put that small spring back in.? I put it on but it won’t click for me rn. It won’t let the striker fall in all the way because of that spring
my extractor pin does not fall out. and i need it to to tighten up my rear sight. please help. i didn't want to pry on it too much.

Excellent vid. Informative. It the extractor pin/ plunger normally really stiff or hard to depress? It seems impossible to depress.
There is a good amount of pressure on the plunger
Easy peasy! Thanks for the tutorial and the response!
Awesome!
Um, I can't get the striker all the way back in. It won't push down so I can slide the back plate on.
Thank you very much! Just replaced my extractor.
I'm glad I could help
Merci! 🙏🏾
My plunger bottom part that connects to ejector and spring stuck how can get it out pls. help thank you..
With not being able to see it I would take it to your local gun smith's
nice and easy

@@13beyeker I straightened the problem out months ago, but I still appreciate the answer! Thank You!
I have a sig p320 x compact and my plunger n spring wont come out.
How about u disassemble the striker itself and re assemble
I would but I didn't own the 320 anymore
Is the m17 the same as this??
ho! a question about the p320
for you the little hole on the slide, near the striker Channel and near the extractor, what is the function?
is a hole from the striker Channel or from extractor Channel?

Brian Lipsey I'm glad I can help if there's anything you would like to see feel free to leave a comment
Thamx bro
Mine is broke with the spring stuck inside the whole
@@PettyASFuq then at that point I would suggest taking it to a gunsmith
Excellent video. Really disappointed in SIG's engineering of the striker. There is no reason that tiny spring should be exposed.
Justin glad I could help.im also disappointed in the engineering and the recent findings of it not being totally drop safe.
T h a n k Y o u .
Excellent video. Thank you.
