    Although impressive, the jet likely isn't being max performed for the public. Lockheed has a real winner in the F-35, and its only getting better with more software releases. Lopsided kill ratios of 15:1, 20:1 etc when participating in the most demanding war games on the planet - Red Flag. No plane is invincible, but the F-35 is a quantum leap in air combat. We should be procuring them by the squadron...

      There's a reason all these NATO countries are buying F-35's. It's because they've actually tested the aircraft, they actually know it's full specs and capability, and they really don't care what the media thinks.

The whole point is to shovel as much publicly generated money into the private sector by fulfilling ludicrous private contracts. • @vincivan8163
      @vincivan8163 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Kenneth Tham The F-22 Raptor is proven to have superior stealth, avionics, but rivals in technology. The F-22 also has better turning than the Chengdu J-20. Not to mention the F-22 can super cruise and the J-20 is an interceptor. The J-20 in some areas on the front has an RCS of 0.0001 if the Australian researchers were correct, same as OVERALL RCS of the F-22, which isn’t saying much. Not to mention the Chinese military does not work together despite the Global Times saying the opposite. In fact, they deleted their article since it was bogus. One airframe isn’t going to win a war, just like how in the Falklands the Argentinians had the Exocet missile but still lost. You need cooperation between several branches in the military, good logistics, intelligent assets & information, and great planning. These are things China either cannot do or struggles to do. A book of spells I always better than one spell.

    • @vincivan8163
      @vincivan8163 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Kenneth Tham I agree 100% with what you said. But in Ww2 the Japanese had the home field advantage and were superior in nearly every way. However, they did not cooperate, and it costed them the whole Pacific Theater and thousands of civilians. They J-20 may be able to I intercept an AWAC or tanker but it will most likely be killed in the effort since the US probably will be smart enough to not go too close towards the Chinese coast. The US would most likely just want China to stand down on its claims in the Pacific just like Libya. Do I know who’ll win? No. I’m just putting two perspectives together.

    • @vincivan8163
      @vincivan8163 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Kenneth Tham @Kenneth Tham When I said Ww2 I wasn’t talking about production. Back then you could mass produce planes, aircraft carriers, and ships. In the modern era it can take years or maybe a decade just to finish a single frigate, cruiser, or destroyer, which by then the war would’ve ended. What I meant was that the Imperial Japanese, which existed in Ww2, did not cooperate leading to several losses in the Pacific Theater. This is the same problem China has, their army, navy, and Air Force do not work together or know what each side is doing. Without teamwork there is chaos and confusion. What you need is calmness; wisdom is most valuable then. Not to mention Chinese soldiers are equipped with “suicide helmets.” And how good is Chinese radar? You can’t fire your 368km long range missile without a good chance weapons lock. The only exception is if the J-20 was using cued-search, in very small FoV, and was using maximum power on its radar. You’ll either have to already know the position of the AWAC or tanker or your pet Koi fish finally gave you lots of lucks.

    • @vincivan8163
      @vincivan8163 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Kenneth Tham You know what. Nukes and cruise missiles it is. Petition to order more Trident nuclear missiles and create the best hypersonic missiles in the world! For the tanker problem the United States can build stealth tankers which they’re currently doing. Second, the AWAC problem. The F-35 and F-22 could at least be a good candidate for the Pacific Theater. In the Red Flag 17-1 and while the F-35 was fighting the Norwegian Air Force the F-35 was discovered being able to hide 4 friendly F-16s from 8 enemy aircraft. The F-35 can also use LPI radar & avionics and data link between naval ships, air defense systems (if applicable), and other aircraft. The AN/APG-81 AESA radar is the successor to the F-22’s radar, meaning it most likely is very resistant to jamming, has incredibly high resolution, and very long range. The F-35 also had Eurocanard salad while in exercises or performance test against Swish, Finnish, Danish, Norwegian, German, British, and French pilots/fighter jets.

    Anyone who claims the F-35 is anything short of superlative even after the merge is either ignorant or lying to you. An F-35 with a full load of fuel and air-to-air ordnance has better kinematics than an _unladen_ F-16 with minimal fuel. The control authority is excellent, energy retention is second to none, and the instantaneous turn rate and TWR are in contest for the best of any aircraft in service today. The only aircraft that even comes close is the F-22, but it lacks the flexibility and information-centric capabilities of the F-35.
    Of course, those capabilities are only really useful at air shows, given how excellent the battlespace information and sensor systems are, which, combined with the very effective signature-reduction technologies, allow the F-35 to be effectively invincible in a BVR fight.
    And it costs less than a new-production Flanler-series aircraft.

Or why the wing tip lights are cycling faster than normal? Pedal turns at sub-cessna speed is a great party trick, but all it's doing is yawing around an axis while falling, you'll die in a fight because you have no airspeed while your opponent is at speed and can still turn in the vertical. F-35 were built around BVR combat for AtA missions and with the SPAMRAAM being used as an AtA complement I only see the F-35 nuking everything out of the sky before the parties get into visual range dogfight.

Against any 5th or 6th gen that's designed for that kind of close in fight, if she cant out BVR it the F-35 is screwed but that's why they wouldn't be on missions alone anyway. That's what the F-15EX is for in a secondary kind of way. To say WVR is dead is well a flat out lie, you will still need to assume it will happen cause in the heat of battle all it takes is a couple to push through, but to judge a basically BVR only based aircraft on dogfighting maneuvers is also completely stupid.

      A single F-35 could defeat an Su-35 in BVR unbelievably easily thanks to better radar, stealth, and avionics. In WVR your heavy flanker carrying targeting pods, missiles, and external fuel tanks will struggle to go past Mach 1.3 without wasting most of its fuel and do turns, so a well-skilled F-35 has a very high chance of defeating one if he/she’s smart enough. In a more realistic scenario and with the AIM-260 the Flanker has a lower chance of winning.

    • @trenton.tchannel1810
      @trenton.tchannel1810 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Lol you fail to realize that the cool maneuvers and stuff you see isn’t always smart. They only work when your in a close merge. If a pilot gets distance between the two planes it’ll get blown out of the sky. Believe no pilot is going to be in that position on purpose so that still will be obsolete once it’s blown out sky from 50 miles away

    • @foshizzlfizzl

      @@trenton.tchannel1810 I haven't seen in the video, that it's about BVR??...this video wasn't about your 50 miles fight range... You think Russian fighter jetzt do a Cobra, Bell and all the other manouvers in 50 miles range to the target or what?

    • @vincivan8163
      @vincivan8163 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @foshizzlfizzl You do realize that BVR engagements start first before WVR combat, right? Also, data gathered by the CSBA found that in the 1990s to early 2000s 55% of kills were from radar seeking missiles and the other third comprised of long range IR missiles. The few percentage left is made up of “other” and about 2% actually comprises of gun kills.
      *They also found out that BVR engagements are quickly becoming more and more common*
      *What is mentioned less however is that 80% of pilots who are killed in combat do not realize until they’re struck.*
      I have a question for you. What is the radar range of the Irbis-E used by the Su-35? Do not replace it with the Su-57’s AESA radar since it doesn’t work and is not operational at all.
      And if you think you could just dodge all those MDBA Meteor and AIM-260s/120Ds then you’re wrong. Even physics and thermodynamics disagree. Even if you did somehow manage to dodge one you’ll lose all your energy & velocity, meaning you’re vulnerable to another incoming missile.

      @@shaggings Don't think so. The Su-35 has l band radar in the wings and the Su-57 same thing + Aesa radar both having above 400 km range. It's important to mentioned they have both extensive electronic countermeasure equipments. So the F-35 is tossed!

    • @shaggings
      @shaggings 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@carcajou1018 l band is very inaccurate in a scale that is mountable to an aircraft and is unable to be used for SARGM, or AMRAAM. So it's fucked. It might get a broad direction of an F-35 (unlikely since L-band on that small of scale is completely fucking useless, literally will only give away it's position) but the F-35 likely has fired a missile at this point. L band is damn near useless on an aircraft since it is so inaccurate. AESA isn't perfect either, it can give a direction of the aircraft but might not be able to get a lock before it's too late.
      SU-57 *ALLEGEDLY* has far weaker stealth capability than the F-35. Which would make sense since US has a bit higher development budget compared to russia. So the Russian counterpart would be detected by the F-35 before the SU-57 would detect it. And lock on range on the F-35 would also be higher thanks to better stealth.

    • @carcajou1018
      @carcajou1018 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@shaggings Well the Su-57 has 5 radar. 1 in the nose which is band X + 2 in the cheeks for beaming coverage. Add to that 2 L band which not only are used for IFF but to detect stealth plane. Also the 101KS Atoll electro optical targeting system which detect stealth aircraft and DIRCM which blind IR missile by pointing energy on it. Lastly L402 Himalayas ECM which is rated to be the best is mounted in the rear between the engines. The Product 30 engines will come with new exhaust which is very “stealthier” nozzle.
      X band have harder time to detect low observable plane because of high frequency and shorter wavelength but L band have lower frequency and longer wavelength not to mention Optical Infrared Search and Track. With all the radars, optical infrared and ECM integrated the SU-57 have all it need to detect and kill the F-22 and F-35.

    • @shaggings
      @shaggings 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@carcajou1018 countermeasures against IR are useless in a BVR battle since nobody uses IR guided missiles in BVR, L band is too weak since it would need to be a massive ground radar to be of any real use, not to mention that using L band, getting a radar lock is basically impossible sinc eit is inaccurate. AESA X band will detect a stealth aircraft yes, but at what range?, also will it manage a lock until the F-35 gets too close? (Cause remember being detected doesn't mean you can produce a lock the same time you detect the threat on radar) IR tracking is also fucking worthless in a BVR battle, and will only be useful at closer ranges. Targetting system does fuck all if the radar can't even produce a lock on the target 1st.
      Once again, F-35 will realistically get the 1st shot off since SU-57 can be locked on from a longer range.

      Exactly, it’s not visible from the outside. In some ways it also isn’t visible at all to the enemy. You’ve got Missiles that can lock on without the plane being pointed at it. You have a helmet that can look through the plane. Advanced sensors, Stealth technology. Plus the fact that it can do anything a normal fighter can do.
