I have both the R305 and R320 on a Clubsport Universal Hub V2 and the Podium Button Module w/ Podium hub. Honestly I haven't used any other wheels since. Turn wheels are awesome.
This seems like a great option for vr players like myself. We don't need fancy LED shift lights or LCD displays. We just need to have great functional buttons that are easy to use while under our headsets. While the pricing is good compared to the other 500-1k+ wheels/button box setups, I still think the button box could be 50-100 usd cheaper. Love the open ended platform and being able to use other brands of wheels/quick releases though. The simplicity kinda makes me want to design and build my own even.
Thanks for the analysis on the button play/wiggle. It's something that has frustrated me about my Fanatec rims, and why I'm looking for something a bit more expensive and higher end. Might seem silly to some, but this attention to detail in your review is appreciated.
100% as Zach alone is a reason to support the product but the product is great. They feel great and look amazing.. Love to support small business but also one that is owned by someone that is passionate about what we love to do. thanks for the review
I’ve swapped my Fanatec Advanced Button module from the Porsche rim to the Turn 320 to make GT cars more realistic and make the dashes visible. Great rim.
I have the Asher B16L-USB, the Turn 50mm spacer and the Turn R320. Its a beautiful combination, with that extra dish in the rim, your hands wont interfere with the shifters. I was always worried about getting my original Turn 320 Alcantera version wearing down even with gloves, but now the new version is available, its perfect. Done many hours with it and without gloves, very comfortable and no more worries about wear and tear. Zak does some great products, his new wheel rims are a definite buy from me, summer nearly here so no more sticky evening long sessions. Well done on representing Turns products👍
I bought a R305 2 weeks ago and the grips were like hard plastic. I sold it immediately. Was very slick when my palms got a little sweaty during a long race.
been running the R320 for a few months. i have no complaints about it. ive got some pretty big hands and the smaller grips get my hands numb after a while, which doesnt really happen with that rim!
Thanks so much Will - Just picked up their R305 and the button box in their black friday sale. In depth reviews like these are amazing - appreciate your work :)
I have the R305 with button plate and it's fantastic, feels quality in the hands and has all the buttons you will need for most cars. What Will forgot to mention is that this wheel is perfect for VR users who don't need displays and illuminated buttons.
Are you happy with it? is there any flex? I am considering this because of the minimalistic set up and look and plus I feel this is a solid return in value for a lot of the wheels I have looked at
@@markremillosa5081 nope as I said no I haven't noticed any flex and I run it on the IndyCar with FFB cranked up. It is just a little softer at the top extreme end edges of the wheel because that's where all the soft rubber is but that's not where your hand are placed in any case so you wouldn't notice it
I have the R305 on a Universal hub for my DD2, I got the rim around 2 years ago. It arrived on time and came with a metal brush (every Alcantara sort of wheel should come with one, but they don't), stickers, and some candy. I'll continue to support Turn whenever I can. The rim is slightly too thick on the ends where your hands go, but that is just nitpicking.
3 years now, I have to glue the suede back on from time to time. It's feen a fine wheel, but the added thickness at 9 and 3 is not the most comfortable. If it was the same thickness as the Sparco 310, it would be absolutely perfect.
I love the way you can just buy a rim from them to fit on whatever you want. I bought a similar product from acelith, it's good but the quality is definitely better here.
I'm pretty convinced some manufacturers don't know what a quick release is. A two part design which requires an external tool to undo a bolt is not a quick release. Neither is the same design with a removable pin instead.
I have had their R20 wheel and 50mm spacer for some time and can attest to the great quality and service at Turn Racing, especially when considering the price.

Extensive and fair review. Looks like a great rim!
Setup looks good, looks a bit awk with the small tracks in the background tbh. reckon a much larger boosted media wheel logo that would sit underneath it all would look great. more of a shadow than a full track thing. Tracks in bold, logo in shadow but takes up more. rant over.
Yep but only because we didn’t have appropriate bolts sitting around. Seems that the volts that come with the wheel assume you’re using a spacer as well as the QR.
I was looking for a Wheel for my VRS Base - i bought a SIMLINE MCLAREN Wheel, and i couldn’t be happier - even if i took a look at Turn Racing Gear, but i don’t like the look very much…
@Boosted Media I have had both the original suede and the alcantara revision r305's and I absolutely love them. Will likely be getting the new one soon. Question I have been looking for a 320 mm D shape or round wheel to add to my collection but have been struggling to find one I like. I find them all too skinny. The girth of the grips on the r305 is what I love so much about them. Do you know of any 320mm wheels that have a thicker grip like these do?
Incorrect. We checked this with Zach before publishing. That’s the price for each side. The website is misleading as it indicates the price is $57 for the whole unit, but then you only have the option to order one side or the other and both are $57 individually. There’s no option to order both together except to add each side to your cart which is $114
Nice vid, really cool product as well. Could you guys also check out the button boxes and rims feom sim racing coach one day? Im curious what theyre like but there dont seem to be many reviews on them
For that money you're looking at something from Logitech - For £179 I got a G920 + 3 pedals + H pattern gear stick. I would say their software can be hit and miss more so on Windows 11. For my first wheel it was a great improvement and I mounted it to a Playseat challenge because I wanted something to fold up to keep free space to a max
Couldn't find one myself. It's quite a hurdle having to pay 50€ for shipping + duty fees, when the wheel itself costs 140€. Glad I found some on the used market.
A R305 or 320 sound like excellent options - then I remember everything else I'd need to get them working on a Fanatec base and have plenty of buttons! Ah well maybe one day I can indulge myself a bit haha Good to see a solid line-up of products for the Turn Racing brand though, appreciate the video!
@@boostedmedia turns out it costs A$316 with a CS QR on current exchange rates plus shipping (or A$169 for just the emulator plus another $169 for the CS QR direct from Fanatec and then you're dealing with double shipping) so that would seem about the same as a Podium Hub to me at $299 plus shipping

Does the Podium Button Module fit alright with the R305, or is it a bit tight?

The Turn racing wheel looks really good on your rig.
I have wrapped the 320 with bike handlebar tape. It looks amazing and is super comfortable.
Same here.

anyone has the rattle sound from the buttons (mostly the top one) on the bp2 ? Ist there a DIY fix for ?
Will these along with the buttons attach to and function with a Thrustmaster TS-XW?

Hello Will, just wondering if you have tried this rim on the fanatec podium hub, podium shifters and advanced button module?
It’s shown in the video.
watching this i kept thinking that those paddles look way too small but you never mentioned any thing about it. thoughts??
Didn’t find that to be an issue at all. If we did I would have mentioned it.
I believe the $57.00 US is for the complete quick change system, not each side. That makes it a lot less than the others.
