    Hey! I’ve been a big fan of the channel for a long time and just stumbled upon this video which is perfect. I recently received the csl dd 8Nm from Fanatec and was wondering if you could recommend a wheel for me. I currently only have the 270mm formula carbon wheel from them and was thinking to get a 300 or 320mm wheel. Do you have any recommendations that is compatible with fanatec and does not break the bank? I drive mostly get cars, but might try out rally in the future, so wasn’t sure if I should get one with a flat bottom or a round one. Thanks!

    • @chepilevski
      @chepilevski  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      300 is perfect size but I enjoy the 320 too ! Do you is better to stay in the Fanatec eco system as otherwise you will need the podium hub and that is too expensive! The BMW from Fanatec is awesome wheel in 320mm and I liked the McLaren too ! Let’s see what Fanatec will bring in the next few months!

    Extremely helpful mate.
    Have a fanatec F1 20’ 270mm converted (thanks for the conversion video again) and converted an old Ferrari 599EVO which is 300mm but still need a good high quality all around wheel bigger than 300mm like Sparco P310 or OMP super quadro but the million dollar question is which button plate/box?
    Something with like 22-28 inputs (or more) with good quality buttons and rotors ...etc
    The market is saturated with 3d printed stuff and who knows which ones survive.
    If there’s any useful info about that to help new SC2 users that would be great. Haven’t found any on youtube so far.

    Since I'm using a T300RS GT, it's 280cm diameter. I love driving TCR and GT3 cars, so your suggestion to get a larger, 300cm diameter wheel means I should pick Moza R9 with CS wheel (305cm) over the ES wheel (280cm). It may give me an edge in precision. Thank you :)

    • @chepilevski
      @chepilevski  ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s mostly personal preference!
      For GT3 however, I prefer the 300mm wheels
      There are also some news coming at 26/6 eleven days from now so, I would suggest to wait for those new products before you go R9 and CS wheel and then take your decision what you will take!
      I can’t tell you more as that’s confidential but it may worth waiting a bit !

    I want to "restart" in simracing and want to purchase a simucube 2 pro together with a compatible wireless steering wheel. I was considering an Ascher F28-SC or the official GT3 performance wheel. Cube controls was also an option at first but it seems that quality does not keep up with their pricing. So according to your recommendations the GT3 wheel would be the better allround option? Mine was (up to now) the Ascher because all the reviews /owners praise its quality.

    This is a rabbit hole with no end, and and expensive one, but a Universal HUB helps so you can just purchase rims.
    So far I have Fanatec Formula V2, Sparco 310, Turn 305, MOMO 300, and Fanatec 320mm. I'm pretty well covered for rally, road, GT, LMP, and open wheel.
    Because if a 488 Evo has a 305mm rim, well then I have to use a 305mm rim.😅
    Formula V2 is way too small at 270mm when modern F1 is 280mm, but Pineapple Grips has some solutions for that. Some expensive and some not so expensive, so I went the 2nd route with Chunky grips to make it 276mm.
    If only a certain manufacturer made their Universal HUBs remotely more reliable where the buttons and funky switches would have some longevity.😑

    Great video - gratulation - the weight of the wheel is also extremely important in sim racing (because inercia) - above 1,5 kg is not okay if you want to be competitive (even with dd too)- for me the best diameter is 280mm - I am faster with this diameter and in extremely situation I can save easier the car

    • @chepilevski
      @chepilevski  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I found that weight can smooth out the FFB and all my wheels are over 2.2kg with all the extensions I have attached to them ! For the quick savings of the cars on extreme situations I completely agree ! My point is that 300mm Wheel is really about the sweet spot for all situations! If I drive on my limits I found myself lots more smoother with bigger size wheel which makes the car mor stable but all that is subjective and depending on the car! For GTE cars ware everything goes on fast ward x4 you really need to be faster with your inputs and the little size will be little more beneficial!
