I think the 750S might be better because it's got hydraulic steering and less electronics in the way of the experience, but I guess that comes with its own costs, like reliability and performance.

300-400k on a Ferrari that everyones going to say "isn't a REAL Ferrari" or a house and a gtr with fuel and insurance covered for a while with the change?
Ferrari charges about that for Apple CarPlay too. 😂 Since their customers don’t buy $30K cars, I guess they don’t know these things come standard on almost everything else. And speaking of soaking their customers, the GTS costs about $50K more than the GTB coupe. For comparison, BMW and Porsche charge about $12-13K more for the 8 series and 911 cabs. And Chevy charges a mere $7,500 more for the super trick folding hardtop on the mid engined C8, including the Z06. So yeah, Ferrari is in an alternate universe on that as well.
@richsimpson450 I agree. Chevy copied the Ferrari 458 to great effect, making a true 'Murica version. The issue with me though is that exotics in general are not special anymore, since all of them, except for a few, are owned by big corporates that build lesser vehicles.
@@richsimpson450 Not defending Ferrari with the following response, but Apple Carplay was £2300, not £4000. You have to really narrow down the age range to the last 4 years to make anywhere near a contender for a good looking ferrari. Most historical models looks so much better than this.
It is beautiful. The piccolo engine has grown on me. But it still looks and sounds like it's missing a lot of character. Their touch interfaces was a mistake because they could have done some really nice tactile and clicky buttons. It's missing more than it has. There are other options.

There are other less expensive cars for fast straight line speed. Ferrari's should be about driving in the twisties. No mention of how it feels when cornering? Steering with feel? Fast straight line performance does not make it a good driver's car imo.
My first drive in a 296 was met with scepticism. A Ferrari V6 you say? With electric power too? Followed moments later by a realisation of how brutally fast it was and how exceptional it sounded. A truly stunning modern day classic.

Sorry but I'd rather have a Nissan GT-R. Infinitely more practical and just as much fun. I hate mid-engined 2-seaters: pointless unless on a track. That said, it does look gorgeous.
Another phenomenal video by Rory and the Autotrader team. I learned a lot, and enjoyed every minute of it. Noticed that this group that lets you track superstars for 3 laps, traveling around the US is now offering the 296 as an option, albeit for an insane price ($480 for 3 laps). But when I can afford it, I’ll definitely be tracking the beast.
Ferrari, if they were smart, would sell you the shell of the car, then charge extra for everything else, they're current business strategy is not making enough money. IMHO.
I love V12s as much as the next person, but I don't mind the fact that Ferrari put a V6 in the 296 GTB/GTS as well as the new F80. Yes, I know it doesn't sound fantastic, especially when you consider that the 296 actually sounds pretty good by comparison, not to mention its 4 million dollar price tag.
