Bro I feel for you. Getting your new stuff and feeling so sure you did everything right, yet people won't stop doubting cuz two other guys made mistakes installing their CPUs. Hope the replacement process goes smoothly for you.
I have the same motherboard as you with the same cpu and my motherboard, and cpu is working fine just like everybody else. You probably have a bad board
Did you closely inspect the pins before placing the CPU? People have had bent pins out of the box through the years. Looks like a bad board and/or socket.
Just return the board and get another one or get a different brand, i have the exact same board with 192ddr5 6800 with no issues posting and a 9800x3d. The other thing you can not do is put the cpu in the palm of your hand as the oils from your hand and fingers will interfere with the pins, always hold the cpu on the edges. These things happen DOA , malfunctioning boards that is why these companies offer warranties nothing is a guarantee it will be perfectly working, there is always a slim chance of getting a bad board.
I did noticed that you pushed down on the chip after it was already seated in the socket. Once the Cpu is seated - normally you wouldn't " Push - Down " on the cpu before closing the cover. It might not be the problem but most of the time CPU sockets are called (Z)ero (I)insertion (F)orce { ZIF }. The CPU cooler would normally be enough pressure after the CPU is in the socket. Sorry that your CPU and MB got damaged.
Maybe your cpu socket was bad, bad plastic inyection, and your cpu wasnt properly seated cus of that. Or you placed it wrong and then did force on top of it and deformed the socket. for what we can see in the pictures
little wiggle. hahaha. I heard it first time this term on placing cpu. you cant do that. esspecialy in am5 socket you definetly cant do that. I have the same motherboard and cpu. works very smooth.
Just return the motherboard, I understand that you think you did it correctly but something must have happened like dust or hair or some debris got in between cpu and motherboard and burned those pins
@@gaminginstilllife9429 yeah, dont worry about it, it seems like you did everything right, it shouldnt happen again, is there any discoloration on the bottom of the cpu?
@@Eddie_Li yeah my new board is running perfect I don't know I guess that MSI board had something wrong with it even though I was super careful and try to do everything by the book
It's the only way to stack contact that densely together. We'll probably never see a CPU with pins unless the manufacturer finally figure out that those 400+ ground pins don't have to be all seperate. Just make 1 single big ground pin in the center and boom: we go from 1800 pins to 1300 pins.
@@Nico_0900 Yeah they are still ass though 🤣🤣 Hopefully they do figure out how to put the pins back on the CPU or at least make them thicker so if they get bent the person can fix them.

This video is the evidence that you handled the CPU and socket very roughly and may have damaged the pins.

@@rpergrem i looked but didn't look close enough
One pin is clearly bent and not in a way setting a cpu in socket correctly or incorrectly would cause. 3:03
Those pins look like a stray finger poked them.🤫👍 RMA the board and cpu.
It's this the one where he already bent his sh!+ b4
Send my Board back because randomly i‘ve got no picture when i turned my machine on. Only CMOS reset solved the problem for some days
I had the same motherboard didn’t get a boot at all did u return it and get the same one or different brand ?
i got a gigabyte aorus x870 and that works perfect
@@gaminginstilllife9429 with the same cpu?
Yes..bent pins will stop you in your tracks....RMA that board..now if you did it..that's human fault..you may not get a replacement
You never mentioned using thermal paste!
Because the cooler was probably already prepasted.

i got another mobo and have zero problems

the latch applies way more pressure then me just touching the top, I just do what all the vids online say to do, make sure the cpu is seated
"I did a little wiggle" CPU said bye bye. End of story. In 24 years of PC assembling i never "wiggled" CPU when placed on socket.
ı am using same moterboard and same cpu but ı am good everythinks good and süper
He definitely put it in wrong 🤦🏾
Well please elaborate on what he did wrong then, if you are so sure!?

That’s a massive bummer. I just built my new pc and we all have hiccups but not burnt pins. Yikes, return. Or just get a laptop
