Another vote for the “mistake.” The ribbon ends go better with the star points. The blunt end stops the flow.

The “mistake” is a happy accident. It looks like the trimmed ends of red ribbon on a Christmas package.🎁

I really like the quilt with the mistake. I have a Christmas jelly roll and was planning on making a star quilt. But I think this pattern will work better for my jelly roll. Love all your videos and look forward to watching your them every day. You are a fantastic teacher.

Actually, I would make this quilt with "your mistake" instead of the pattern. The points on the outside match your star points. A much better finish than the "correct" way. Beautiful quilt, and beautiful fabric selection. I will order this pattern. I have so many jelly rolls to choose from! Thanks for another great tutorial👍!
Hi Donna! Well, I'm like most here-we don't care that you "made a mistake"!! We just love everything you do! And I really like the purple smaller version. Is that Kafe fabric? My granddaughters would LOVE that because it seems most little girls love purple 💜

For beginning quilters, this pattern is perfect because it is easy to match and it uses precuts. Doesn’t get any better than that.
