Donna has such a regal elegance in the way she talks and moves! I think she's secretly a goddess of quilting and her workshop is at the top of a mountain untouched by mortals.
I am brand new to quilting, not sewing. I have been learning thru tutorials. I must tell you yours are fantastic. Easy to follow your directions and instructions and your quilts are gorgeous. I love your choices of materials and their gorgeous colors. Thank you so much for taking your time to share and offering the instructions on some of your own quilts. I have printed out several of your quilt directions and once I am comfortable with cutting pieces I intend to attempt one. By the way your smile and obvious enjoyment are infectious. Thank you again.
You make every quilt look so easy. I appreciate all that you do. I have learned so much by watching your videos. I hope that someday I'll be as good as you are. Thank you 😊
I look forward to the video with all the scrappy bits. I have an on-again/off-again relationship with a paper-pieced mariner's compass and balked at the sheer waste of fabric... so I foundation pieced the slivers and stuff to 6" squares of whatever jersey fleece I could get my hands on. If I ever finish the quilt top, I know I'll have a complementary quilt back ready for it.
I see Matt is also a hard worker like you are Donna. You guys do a wonderful job, and you both are a pleasure to watch. Than you for sharing. Have a wonderful day!
Donna ... another home run!! That is just so lovely! And l want to thank you for making space in your ads for customer's pictures...the lady who m made a quilt for her Father...oh my! Your teaching technique is very Montessori ...slow, repeat, orderly, ...no distracting show biz. Anyway, many thanks to all at Jordan's.....
Hearty second on the comments below on the Twisty quilt tutorial, Donna. We'd love to see what you came up with for using the scraps! Your videos are so inspiring, and your quilts are eye candy 💖
Donna, you never cease to amaze me with your beautiful quilt construction!! Watching your do your magic is the highlight of my day :) Hello also to Matt, it was nice seeing you today as well.. I have been quilting for years and I am close to 80 now and quilting for my kids, grandkids and great grandkids is my true treasure in life.. for all the quilts I have made for my family and for charity I have never kept one for my own.. every time I start one for myself before I'm done I always change my mind and I know I'll be giving it away too.. so in case no one ever told you this before.. what you do at the end of each of your videos is a beautiful thing and it never goes unnoticed .. thank you for all you do
Donna you are the best teacher on the internet for quilting. You give the best directions and make it all seem so easy. I love Batiks so I am always looking for new quilting ideas. Thank you so much for everything you do.
You know we must be all talking about the same Donna because I to agree I love listening to her explained things as she does..sometimes I can be a little thick.. but I learn while doing along with her at home! Donna and my coffee in hand I enjoy her cafe while learning so much!
Oh my how I just love the quilts and projects you sew. Because of you I am relearning how to quilt again. I may never be as good as I was 20 years ago but that is ok at least I can sew again. Thank you.
I really like how you added the green small border to the quilt. It really bought out the green star in the center and tied the quilt together! Beautifully done! Really different pattern but it came together so well!! a thanks for the tutorial! PS, it’s always fun to see Matt pop in to the video. 💕😀
I am so happy that you were going to use those scraps. That was hurting my stomach to have them tossed. Can’t wait to see what you do with them. 🤔😊. Thank you for all your videos I look forward to them every week.
Matt!!!! Yea!!! Love his small appearance!!! Also just want to throw it out there that I hope to see Matt soon doing another video on how to recover the beautiful ironing boards he has made. Love you guys so much and always look forward to new videos!!!
For the past few years mirror mirrow has been my favorite until i just watched Stars Within! I now put this one as my #1 favorite. When you picked the colors i thought i would use some different choices until i saw the amazing quilt finished. Great job and you made it look so easy. Just ordered patter from you. Can't wait to get started. I have jelly rolls already from your store, I can use. Your tutorials are so inspirational to get me back sewing. Thanks Donna, you are the BEST instructor ever.
I’ve just found your channel and loving your videos. You make it look so easy with your step by step instructions. You’ve given me the the quilting bug. Thanks 🙏
Gorgeous pattern, but I almost stopped watching when I realized there would be a lot of waste! Thank you for announcing you have a plan for it, Donna, excited to see the idea.
Today was an opportune time for Donna to take a moment to remind us of the following facts about fabric waste: some fabric waste is inherent to quilting; fabric scraps can be saved or shared for use in other projects; and quilters can always be on the lookout for patterns that will incorporate their fabric scraps. I hope her message today will assuage the concerns of those viewers who are distressed about fabric waste in quilting. Thanks, Donna.
This pattern could be executed with no waste using a diamond rectangle unit (deb tucker ruler) or 2 peaky spike seamed in the middle. Either way would be no waste and easily adapted to this pattern. Give it a look.
I'm totally blown away every time I watch your videos. It's incredible what you create again and again. I have also tried a few times to sew this, but unfortunately have failed so far every time. But it does not stop me from watching your videos with great pleasure. I have to admit, though, that sometimes I'm a little envious when you go to your fabric warehouse to choose the fabrics. I always think then, you must feel like you are in paradise. Please keep doing this for a long time and inspire us with your great videos. Thank you so much for your effort and most of all stay healthy
Are you saying you have tried this exact same pattern? For me I would try just the 16 patch star block with the strip tube ruler until perfected just that part 1st. On its own, it's lovely and could be sashed into a lovely quilt. Then I would play with scraps and the sashing block until I got confident. Only then would I use great fabrics to attempt the whole compilation. Good luck, all practice is worthwhile.
That's what I do with me patterns. I buy fabric on sale, specifically for making test blocks which I then sew into cushions or table runners. As you say, no practice is ever wasted.
Great job on the filming, the teaching and the quilt. There is a lot going on and it is interesting. You always make me feel like I can do every quilt that you present. I only quilt in the winter because I do metal art when it is warm out. Soon I will be trying some of your quilts. I made eight quilts earlier this year. You are such a inspiration. 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀
I had to laugh after you trimmed that sashing block and my OCD is shouting "NO WAY!" I couldn't stand making a quilt with that much wasted batik fabric (or any other fabric for that matter.) Then as if you're reading my mind (or hearing my mental screams), you promise an upcoming video that will use up all those scraps. YAY! I think I hate dealing with angled scraps more than any other bits and pieces. I can't wait to see what you'll come up with to use them. The wall hanging definitely POPS! Nice work!!
I'm not the only one. There is another pattern that Donna did called Stardust, it's really beautiful, and the sashing uses measured pieces for the points. It was a lot less stressful for me, but this quilt is amazing.
Good morning Donna, Matt and all at Jordan's, Ooo i was so missing your video this week,, it seems like forever since you last put one up, but that is probably my imagination going wild again. Love this pattern Donna, and the cranberry corner stones is what i would also have chosen for the outer triangles, but hey, that's what makes us all unique in this world. I loved the soft blue that you opted for the quilting design, it just shows up that little bit and not knock you on the floor by gazing back at you. Thank you flower for your wonderful instructions and softness of teaching that lets us all enjoy and learn through the process. I am going into my old profession mode of being a hairdresser and say that your hair is just beautiful and really suits your skin tone that you have it at the moment, but i realise that you are extremely fortunate to have this beautiful colour naturely, please, oh please keep it. You have a beautiful face and figure, the hair is just the cherry on top. Sending crafty hugs across the ocean from Norah, Glenochil Village, Scotland
I had seen this pattern, but thought it might be too complicated. Thank you for breaking it down into ‘bite-sized’ components. I was a bit dismayed at what looked like a waste of fabric, but I am thrilled that you have a project in mind to save those scraps. I love that pop of green in the tiny border. Another beautiful quilt, Donna! Gorgeous batik curation, Matt! Thank you! ❤️
I have a special section for all my triangles, then for practice I go and mix and match, add together, expanding up to any scrappy squares. Voila! extra items to scrappy quilt with.
Love what you've done with your hair! This is a gorgeous pattern. Your videos always break it down to simple. I've recommended you to all my quilting friends!
Donna, you never cease to amaze me. You've made a beautiful quilt and your choice of colors is as always impeccable. I love your tutorials. You make things so do-able even when it looks impossible.
Oh, Donna-you are the best teacher! I hope I’m courageous enough to tackle this pattern one day. Your fabric choices are glorious. What a lovely quilt!
Beautiful quilt. Love how you explain techniques. As a new quilter I would appreciate it if you would talk about the batting you use in different quilts. Also appreciate seeing the "employee only" sections. Fun!
I love watching these videos because Donna is so patient in explaining stuff. I've been quilting for a while, but there are still things i don't know and she's usually my first stop for explanations. Any time she says 'let me tell you what that means' or 'let me show you how to do that' is a treasure trove of information ❤❤ thanks!!
Hi, I am watching your videos, again and again, each evening before going to sleep. Better than any series on the TV :-) I would like to ask you if you could think of making any table runner or table mats tutorial with a Christmas design which would include the Northcott Hay...It's Christmas 24109 74 Green Plaid By The Yard? I love the plaid design but cannot think of other Christmas designs to use with this one. Thank you!
This wall hanging turned out beautiful! It seems a bit intimidating but after seeing you explain, definitely doable! Looking forward to the scrap buster quilt for sure 😀
I’ve thought this for many years: fabric is food for our souls and spirits!! It’s why I’ve chosen certain clothes, upholsteries ,drapes, linens, and fabrics not used yet!!!!!! 😊
Oh Donna, I sooooo want your life. To have not only a longarm at my beck and call, but to have all those bolts of fabric to choose from. Bliss. Love your videos. You have taken me to patterns that I would never have dreamed of.
Absolutely gorgeous Donna! This has to be one of my favorites you have shown due to the vibrant colors and different background choices. Batiks are my favorite fabrics besides the ombres, I love working with them; they make me happy as I'm stitching. Thank you for another great tutorial on what appeared to be a challenging pattern!
24:38 I like to sew with the seams on the top and the single piece on the bottom, so that I can make sure all the seams don't get flipped by the feed dogs. Especially, when using a light background. 💖🌞🌵😷
Donna, that turned out just beautiful! While I like Daniela's design with the one color, I really love your red & blue used. It really makes those secondary stars pop :) I, too, am anxious about the scrap pattern to come!!
I love watching you quilt even though it makes me cringe with chills when you finger press with your fingernails! Lol. I lost my mother, and I'm adopted, but I used to spend hours and hours watching my birth mother sew. Watching you makes me feel like a little child again watching my mother sew and spending that quality time with her. Thanks for that!
I cringe with chills when her fingertips get too close to that rotary cutter 😯. I know she and Matt know what they're doing, but it still makes me hold my breath. I used to have a quilt shop back in the 1990's, and always warned the customers about the blade (Rotary cutters were new back then). One lady just had to run her finger over the blade... next stop for her was the ER, while I cleaned up the mess.
This really is beautiful. The waste is a problem for me because I don’t want to do a scrappy extra quilt with them. This isn’t the first Cozy Quilt Designs pattern that has so much scrap. Nice job on the quilt Donna and the colors are perfect.
Yeahhh. And everytime I see a paper piecing project I see that it could've be done with little pieces instead and without so much waste... I just don't get it. The quilt is awesome though, and Donna, as always, does a great work stitching and teaching.
Wow! I love this tutorial and the beautiful colourful quilt you made (it'll be interesting to see it in the blacks and greys, too!). I fell for, and bought from you, this pattern quite a while ago but have been resisting making it because I HATE lots of waste in a quilt and this looked like a baddie... However it is so very pretty, and now you promise to show us soon how to use up some of those sheared-off pieces... well, I can't resist: I'm off to order some fabric from you, and get going!
Love your videos and your teaching. Did you stop sending out emails? I always enjoyed seeing the pics people sent you of their completed quilts. They gave me great ideas of different colorways to use. My favorite so far is Ribbons Quilt!
Boy, I love this Quilt you made - Stars Within- batiks was another beauty for this quilt, too. This Quilt is this best! Cozy Quilts Make great designs but this is my favorite Thank you, Donna!!
Donna, you have made something that looks complex really easy to assemble. It's a really pretty quilt! I was never much for batiks, but you and Matt have changed my mind. Colour is such a wonder!
I love watching your tutorials You are the best quilting instructor! I learn more about design, color coordination, and sewing methods from you. My brain retains your instructions too! Thank you!
Donna I'm glad you made the quilt with different fabric for the cornerstones. I think that makes the secondary stars really stand out. Thanks for showing a pattern with a different method, similar to paper piecing but with no papers.
This looks like a rather difficult pattern, but as always Miss Donna breaks it down into easy doable steps thereby taking out the fear of making this quilt. I've been quilting for a number of years but I always appreciate the instructions and hints more geared for new quilters. They are good reminders to slow down and do it right the first time. Thank you so much for your give aways - very generous of you.
I love it when Matt shows up too
Always love the way donna talks..
I've been watching your video's for the last month or so and have been inspired. Thank you.
I love peaks into behind the scenes stuff. 🤩
Beautiful people do beautiful things. Congratulations.
Love it when both of you work together. God bless, love your videos
Donna has such a regal elegance in the way she talks and moves! I think she's secretly a goddess of quilting and her workshop is at the top of a mountain untouched by mortals.
A bit over the top, but she is great 👍 💕 😊
Allah is the only God ... no goddess
I have watched your videos for a very long time. I really enjoy that you you show part of the “thinking” process you go through with each quilt
I`m bedbound, but I can feel the joy of sewing when I`m looking at your amazing tutorials! :-) Thank you for sharing!
I Like your all parents
So glad you & Matt are working thru Covid!
I look forward to the video with all the scrappy bits. If I ever finish the quilt top, I know I'll have a complementary quilt back ready for it.
I LOVE how you bring what seems so incredibly advanced and difficult down to easy and do-able! Please don't ever stop your videos, Donna! ❤ ❤
It's so great to see Matt participate in a video again!
I see Matt is also a hard worker like you are Donna. You guys do a wonderful job, and you both are a pleasure to watch. Than you for sharing. Have a wonderful day!

I enjoy watching your videos. I had Covid and it brought great comfort watching. Thank you and your family. All your Quilts are beautiful.
Love seeing Matt in the videos again!

Watching you cut and sew is good for my well-being. Thank you
Makes me feel better that you, too, can feel intimidated by a pattern. You are amazing and I enjoy your tutorials!!
Sometimes you just have to jump in and trust that the pattern will work!
Each tutorial, a new reason....thanks guys.
I love how you folks created and run your beautiful business together...very inspiring :-)
Brilliant. Great job Donna and all team . 👏🇦🇺💐
Oh my how I just love the quilts and projects you sew. Because of you I am relearning how to quilt again. I may never be as good as I was 20 years ago but that is ok at least I can sew again. Thank you.
Another beautiful quilt made by Donna
Wow! More beautiful than before.Thanks!

Really different pattern but it came together so well!! a thanks for the tutorial! PS, it’s always fun to see Matt pop in to the video. 💕😀
1 😂😂
This pattern is beautiful and I love it with the black and the bright colors!! ❤️ 😍
Love both of these quilts. Thanks Donna
The quilt came out beautifully! I could sit and watch the long arm do its thing for hours. It's mesmerizing!
Beautiful pattern and an amazing quilt! Thank you, Donna! ❤️
I could watch the quilt machine for hours stitching.
OMG yes! I love watching the long arm at work; I need more footage of this :D
I need such a machine that quilts automatically all my tops.
I am so happy that you were going to use those scraps. That was hurting my stomach to have them tossed. Can’t wait to see what you do with them. 🤔😊. Thank you for all your videos I look forward to them every week.
Wow, Donna I love your color choices! Beautifully done! 👍🏻👏🏻✂️🧵❤️
Matt!!!! Yea!!! Love his small appearance!!! Also just want to throw it out there that I hope to see Matt soon doing another video on how to recover the beautiful ironing boards he has made. Love you guys so much and always look forward to new videos!!!
Just wanted to add a note: Donna I love your hair…so attractive on you!
Ps: the colors on quilt are magnificent!
Hi, UNIQUE PATTERN as always and a generous way of teaching , best wishes from India👍
Thanks 🙏
What a great way to start my day off! I have never heard of the "no paper piecing" method before, how interesting! Thanks Donna, Matt and team!
Gorgeous pattern, but I almost stopped watching when I realized there would be a lot of waste! Thank you for announcing you have a plan for it, Donna, excited to see the idea.

This pattern could be executed with no waste using a diamond rectangle unit (deb tucker ruler) or 2 peaky spike seamed in the middle. Either way would be no waste and easily adapted to this pattern. Give it a look.
I felt the same way! Looking forward to the “twisty” pattern….💕
You make this look possible! I love how you encourage folks in your videos. Colors choices are beautiful.
Donna, you are so brave and talented! That pattern did look very complicated until you broke it down for us, what a talent you have for teaching!
Really love the pattern! Donna you look really fabulous in this video, fresh and beautiful!
You, intimidated? You make the most beautiful quilts. Love these videos.
Such a beautiful pattern and colour choices. Can’t wait to find out what quilt you make with the scraps left over. Thanks again for a great tutorial
You two are amazing and the definition of a Power Couple!
Always love your videos, you make me have more confidence and try new things cause you make things so easy. By the way, nice to see Matt!!!!
Love the bright colors. Just what we need during these times.
Nice work!!
That's the great thing about quilting like that, it leaves me with lots of scraps for making doll clothes for my grandkids.
I'm not the only one. There is another pattern that Donna did called Stardust, it's really beautiful, and the sashing uses measured pieces for the points. It was a lot less stressful for me, but this quilt is amazing.

Great example of another “difficult” quilt you made look easy! Thank you!!!
Love what you've done with your hair! This is a gorgeous pattern. Your videos always break it down to simple. I've recommended you to all my quilting friends!
Wow! Very pretty. Somebody is up late to just post this. I'm excited to watch it!!
That is beautiful! So bright and cheery!!!
Donna, you never cease to amaze me. You've made a beautiful quilt and your choice of colors is as always impeccable. I love your tutorials. You make things so do-able even when it looks impossible.
This is gorgeous! I love the way you teach….very concise and easy to understand. You make things way less intimidating. Thanks!
Fun!
Donna made a video a year ago dedicated to finishing quilts.
@@lesliecas2695 Thank you.
If I remember correctly Donna uses 80/20 Hobbs batting.
I love watching these videos because Donna is so patient in explaining stuff. I've been quilting for a while, but there are still things i don't know and she's usually my first stop for explanations.

This wall hanging turned out beautiful! It seems a bit intimidating but after seeing you explain, definitely doable! Looking forward to the scrap buster quilt for sure 😀
Vos patchwork sont toujours aussi magnifique mais celui-ci me plaît d'autant plus je vais essayer de le réaliser Bonjour de Vichy en France
I’ve thought this for many years: fabric is food for our souls and spirits!! It’s why I’ve chosen certain clothes, upholsteries ,drapes, linens, and fabrics not used yet!!!!!! 😊
I love this pattern. The batiks are perfect in it. Thank you for showing a difficult pattern isn’t always difficult.
Oh Donna, I sooooo want your life. To have not only a longarm at my beck and call, but to have all those bolts of fabric to choose from. Bliss. Love your videos. You have taken me to patterns that I would never have dreamed of.
This does seem like a difficult pattern but you so carefully and concisely explain the procedure that it takes the “fear” out of it🤣
Absolutely gorgeous Donna! This has to be one of my favorites you have shown due to the vibrant colors and different background choices. Batiks are my favorite fabrics besides the ombres, I love working with them; they make me happy as I'm stitching. Thank you for another great tutorial on what appeared to be a challenging pattern!
Where can I buy it?
Appt to see Mat back at I’m also glad to se you you are a great teacher ❤
24:38 I like to sew with the seams on the top and the single piece on the bottom, so that I can make sure all the seams don't get flipped by the feed dogs. Especially, when using a light background. 💖🌞🌵😷
I can see what you mean, I think Donna is experienced plus not trying to confuse the pattern rows, but your tip is great for beginners
Me too. I hate ironing a block and finding flipped seams everywhere! (I'm a beginner!)
Donna, that turned out just beautiful! While I like Daniela's design with the one color, I really love your red & blue used. It really makes those secondary stars pop :) I, too, am anxious about the scrap pattern to come!!
Yes to team red for pop of extra colour
I love watching you quilt even though it makes me cringe with chills when you finger press with your fingernails! Lol. I lost my mother, and I'm adopted, but I used to spend hours and hours watching my birth mother sew. Watching you makes me feel like a little child again watching my mother sew and spending that quality time with her. Thanks for that!

Omg me too!! I can't stand that feeling, or the feeling of nails across 3d pictured makes my skin crawl!!

However it is so very pretty, and now you promise to show us soon how to use up some of those sheared-off pieces... well, I can't resist: I'm off to order some fabric from you, and get going!
I just discovered your channel and I love it. Yes, it looked intimidated but you make it easier. Love it. Thank you.
Lovely pattern and quilt Donna, Thank you for sharing and look forward to seeing left overs in a quilt .
Love your videos and your teaching. Did you stop sending out emails? I always enjoyed seeing the pics people sent you of their completed quilts. They gave me great ideas of different colorways to use. My favorite so far is Ribbons Quilt!
Really liked the fabric combination.
What a fun quilt…will be ordering this pattern soon! Thanks for the tutorial!
Boy, I love this Quilt you made - Stars Within- batiks was another beauty for this quilt, too. This Quilt is this best! Cozy Quilts
Make great designs but this is my favorite
Thank you, Donna!!
I.love “Cozy” patterns. This is certainly no exception!
Donna, you have made something that looks complex really easy to assemble. It's a really pretty quilt! I was never much for batiks, but you and Matt have changed my mind. Colour is such a wonder!
Love the pattern and resulting quilt! Also love the Shipping Department!!!
I love watching your tutorials You are the best quilting instructor! I learn more about design, color coordination, and sewing methods from you. My brain retains your instructions too! Thank you!
I love watching your tutorials. I’m a beginner self taught and I’ve learnt so much from you. Thanks 😊
Always great tips so easy to follow directions. I always find I want to challenge my quilting skills after watching your videos! Thank you Donna!
Donna I'm glad you made the quilt with different fabric for the cornerstones. I think that makes the secondary stars really stand out. Thanks for showing a pattern with a different method, similar to paper piecing but with no papers.
THE TWISTY QUILT..I’ll have to search for that one next..thanks so very much for your excellent videos & ideas!
Love the colors ! I need a mariners star to make a lighthouse quilt for my husband. Can you make one? Thank you Donna and Matt for all you do!
Wow! What a great pattern and your directions are brilliant, Donna. Thank you so much!!!
I love cozy quilts patterns. The colors with that pop of bright green is awesome!
