Great video man. I couldn’t justify spending the $100 either for one. So many people I guess just have money to throw away. Yeah I get not wanting to support Chinese crap but no reason for it to be $100 for the exact same hardware. And for all the people worried about bolt quality you can spend like $5 on grade 8 bolts at your local hardware store and get probably better bolts then oem.
Hello, I am 6'7" and I found the seat jackets did support more leg weight and gave me a little more leg room. I found it did make me adjust all my mirrors, etc, but the comfort is so much better. Keep up the great vids.
I have the 2020 Tacoma, and my seat does have the electrical adjustment feature, however, at about 6'-1' tall, I still experience the the hip pain you describe. The adjustable seat just doesn't bring the front of the seat high enough. What are your thoughts?
I’d say grab the $20 option off eBay and say goodbye to hip pain forever. Then, if you’re as pleased as I was grab a second pair (maybe from DDI) and have a perfect truck.
You have the 2016 tacoma? Which floor mat do you have? I also own a 2016 tacoma and plastic floor mats also but it keeps sliding out of place because is doesn't have the tab to hole it in place...
i believe he has the husky weatherbeater if you’re still curious. i have the same in my 2020 and it’s probably the best thing i’ve done for my truck outside of the ac drip mod
My hips kill me on long trips as well as my lower back. Will these help my lower back as well? I see you are almost to 2K subscribers. I remember it was not long ago you were at around 100. Keep up the great work!
I recently tried the seat jackers from Desert Does It, but my 5'10"-of-a-body legs felt like they were too tall. One about half thickness might work. However, Desert Does It mentioned that the angles required for the bolts limits their ability to build a shorter seat jacker which makes perfect sense. They took the product back no questions asked. I think it's a great, well built product, just didn't fit for me.
That's my personal experience with them as well. I totally understand how they can be beneficial for some, but definitely not all body types and ratios. I had mine in for 3 days before I decided I liked the OEM seat placement better. Tyler loves his and plenty of others do as well, just wasn't comfortable on my legs. -Austin
I don’t disagree. Honestly, there is no difference. If DDI is making them in a small shop Stateside I can almost understand them asking that price. The cheapos are definitely china mass produces for resale. If DDI is importing then they are making a killing.
That has been discussed. Take a stroll over to Tacoma World forum, there are a few threads about these. I have a J&L installed on mine, the instructions are very good The Editor
There may be something to be said about safety. The DDI have high quality aluminum and grade 10 bolts. Who knows what you get with the knockoffs. You may really regret having knockoffs if your passenger dies in a wreck.

All true! Thanks for the words brother

That’s the tallest I’ve ever heard in a Tacoma. Love it 🍻 Good stuff brother
Thanks for this video, it convinced me enough to get the front seat jackers from desert does it. It was a noticeable improvement!
Love it! They make all the difference in the world for a lot of us!

I do have a 2016… and for the life of me I can’t recall where I got my mats… I’m also out of country so I can’t get you more info yet. Sorry brother!

@@aafox4 yea the husky are awesome..i tried rough country matts recently and sent them back..they dont even compare
You got me with the cold air intake

She’s growing! And I tell ya Donald, this will probably save that back too. Start with the cheapos and then support DDI if you’d like

Cool thanks, already went for the larger cup holder mod, think I'll give these a whirl in the ebay variety...
They really work well, a useful mod indeed

So if you have the power seats, the jackets are not necessary?
They aren’t as crucial as those with the manual seats, however many folks still find them very helpful even on the power seats!
-Austin
Would seat jackers help if I already have power adjustable seats? I don’t want to drop $100 on jackers if they are going to feel like my stock seats.
I added them because I only have a power adjustable driver's seat.
I think it makes a great difference
Greg
Is there a link to the eBay ones?
@@jewelcitytrash11 I didn’t because the listings change so frequently. A quick search should reveal some though.
Great video! I already did mine but I actually jacked up the front and the back and leveled the seat.
Fascinating! I’m too tall for that I believe that’s a pro move for sure
I’m calling for OTT on Wednesday. I can’t wait.
Seat jackers seem worth it too.
Thanks!
@@fool-on-the-hill the two biggest upgrades right there 😎
Thanks for the video - glad to hear there’s little difference. 100$ felt like a lot for a couple of aluminum blocks.

Are the Seat Jackers useful for the power adjuster seats? Or not worth it? Roughly the same height as you
@@dangerfield85 great question, I’d ask do you have hip and leg pain? If not then don’t bother
Yo consider a oil catch can and install vid?

Great video! Would love to see wheel bearings get swapped out!

Those DDIs are definitely a hefty price.
Thanks Bro! These are exactly what I need!
I’m in the Chick-fil-A drive thru right now so I feel obligated to hit you with a “my pleasure!”
They really make a world of difference. Enjoy em.
@@teamoildrop Thanks again bro! I very much appreciate it!
If you guys want the full seat jack experience, raise the rear seat legs as well. Night and day !
If I were a inch shorter I’d consider but I’m already near scraping the roof 👀

Nah, they are identical billet cut aluminum and hardware.
