    Guys you will get stronger don't be discouraged, I got through this and extreme abs 2 right before this with no break, you can do it!!! It is so worth it in the end. I'm gonna prove everyone in my family and the internet that called me fat, just how wrong they are

      +NotSoTypical I needed some time to learn that pilates pose where your shoulders are up and you're not lifting it with your neck but your abs. Take your time and practice! Every time when you're doing a workout where you need to do that position try to think about lifting with your abs. It took me many workouts and weeks and even months but I kept my head cold and tried everyday till I was able to do it! Do your all and you will do it! :)

      +NotSoTypical Try to keep your neck in the same position on the shoulders as when you're lying down. So don't stick out your chin, keep it near you and lift up your shoulders and upper back. Hope that makes sense. I'm just starting this, but while checking out the video's it seems like yoga gave me great basics.

      I put my hands behind my neck or squeeze it to remind myself not to. I can use my abs to lift but I had yoga lessons before. Good luck! :)

      that's exactly what I thought but I tried again later (as before I did them right at the end of this workout following the beginners ab time video and going on the treadmill) and it was easier so maybe try them first next time :)

      youtube account Was it tough when you tried it for the first time? Cause I took lots of break and still could not end up with the same thing she is doing. Will I improve gradually? This is my second encounter with exercise after an entire year.

      Neha Upadhyay Sure it is! In school I had to skip physical exercise classes due to a small skin condition, so while I actually look "slim", all I had was fats in my body HAHA. When I first started out blogilates, I took my time, modified some exercises, and when some exercise in each video are too strenuous for me, I just continue and do another set of the previous exercise in the video. Everyone's body and condition is unique and different, so sometimes, if Cassey asks you to push on in the video but you know that you cannot, just take a break! :) you'll get there!

      Try harder to support your head with your arm, then imagine reaching higher with your shoulder and not your head.

      I know what you mean. I had it at first with my abs, then after awhile I couldn't do it and kept straining my neck. Probably cause my abs no longer had strength to lift me :3 ...I had to stop halfway through the vid from neck pain. Bah.

      Masha Norman just means your form is wrong. Have you done her very first video on the beginners calendar? It talks about form. Just means you weren't using your abs but your neck to lift. Try sucking it in/flexing while you do these, so you can feel em.

    I am doing the beginners calender and could do almost everything at beginner level (just) except v-sit ups. O my goodness, the pain. I am adding the posture one to most days as my posture is AWFUL. My back is getting hunched form editing all day on laptops. BAD.
    I am proud I havent ad any neck pain really at all. I think the 1st video explained that so well.
    Bring on day 30 to see the results. Enjoying it so far!

      I missed the last 5 days as I have been away, and although I have not lost anything really, I looked leaner and slimmer. Just muscle is replaced the fats I think atm.

    omg this was my very first ab WO that I ever did with Cassey and back then I barely managed half of the reps she did. now I did it again a few months later and it was actually easy for me! I love you Cassey, thank you so much for all these amazing workouts!

    Day 2 complete!Feeling so much better and confident already!Couldn't do all the exercises tho, but I'm sure a month from now I'll be nailing this!
    Also, the differential that I see on this channel from the other exercises ones is that Cassey MOTIVATES you to keep going and that if you can't anymore, at least you're trying and that doesn't mean that you're failing but slowly getting stronger :)

    I started out a few weeks ago with the extreme Abs workout. In the beginning I couldn't make it through. Now I just found this routine and finished it without feeling completly exhausted which makes me feel great. I love your work outs because I love that pain afterwards. You can literally feel the muscles working. I didn't loss any weight so far, but I definetly see a difference in my abs which slowly shows up an ab line. I struggle with that fat skinny issues like being skinny, but not having any toned muscles. I'm working on that and thanks for helping me with it!
    (Sorry for any mistakes, I'm not a native speaker ;) )

    Doing to beginner 2.0 calendar. I am on day 2. Dying the death. The butterfly crunches hurt my hips for real though, like they grind. >.> I did normal crunches instead

    Day 2 beginner... this was so hard! I could hardly keep up, I had to stop for a while. But I'm hoping eventually I can work hard and do this easily!

      i kbow! i started this last week, and FINALLY i did it with out stopping. of course the only move i did without stopping was the genie twist, but before i had to keep stopping, but today? I FINALLY DID IT WITHOUT STOPPING!!! now to work on the rest of them😄

    It's been a while since I last did this video. Maybe about two months ago when I did this I could barely do the straight leg cross thing. And now I am a lot stronger and I can do more than two of them without wanting to stop. Today I wanted to keep going and I conquered my goal. Thanks Cassey!

    my god casey you are killing me! sometimes i have to modify the moves a tad because i have no balance (working on that) and very weak ankles and wrist but your workouts help me get the stronger! this year i am actually going to get in shape, not just stoping atfter a week. i got a new yoga mat for christmas and i am very excited! i am only 14 but you can never start to early

    my neck hurts so much no matter how much I try to squeeze my abs instead (and I know some people are gonna be like 'you're not using your abs enough), I am using my abs, I'm squeezing them as hard as I can but my neck still hurts.

      I'm the same but I think it's just that we're not lifting our shoulders up off the ground enough? I lifted mine higher for today and it felt less strenuous on my neck☺☺

      It helps to look at your belly button when you're doing the moves.

      it helps me sometimes to literally hold my head with my arms and squeeze the abs at the same time.... and I believe that there are muscles in our neck too which can get stronger, just like other muscles and it just gets easier the more you do it because your neck gets stronger...

      Also take into consideration that your abs are probably just not strong enough yet but after awhile they’ll get stronger and be able to lift so your neck won’t be strained.

    This was my first blogilates video! I've been doing your videos for two years now and one thing I am so grateful for is how you improved my relationship with food. Before I dreaded eating something that would make me fat. Now I look at food as a way to love my body and take care of it :)

    The crunch with both your legs up, one in tabletop and the other up! So effective,this is a move that really challenges me and I love how it burns like I've never felt before.

    bEGINNER BACK AGAIN! managed to do it all through with some changes. when doing the crunches for the last set I went back into the easy ver. also with the v crunch, i did beginner w/ some breaks. NEXT TIME hopefully I will gain muscle and strength to finish the whole thing; either beginner ver. or not!

    SOMEONE PLEASE HELP:
    I am having a problem with pilates stance, where you lift up your shoulders off the mat. I can't not strain my neck. I end up having to stop because I can't breathe when I am straining my neck and it hurts. Then, I feel like I am not getting the whole workout done. I try lifting my shoulders up, but my neck is still strained. I don't know how to stop this.
    Does any have any tips on how to not strain my neck? It hurts, and I can never do all of the moves. It's frustrating :( Thank you!

      all you have to do is to look forward and not up, I had this problem before. looking forward will make your abs hold you up instead of your neck
