Update! Installed this mount yesterday and LOVE it! I've had about a dozen mounts over the years in various cars. By far the best phone mount of them all. And in your location suggestion it's as if it was made for Tacomas. Thanks again!
Dude - I was literally scoping out a $90 option that I was pretty excited about because it was very low profile. After seeing your video & how unobtrusive it is (specifically where you mounted it) I decided to give it a try - can’t beat a $13 option! Hope the adhesive holds in the Carolina sun…we will see. Thx for the tip & keep up the great videos!
I bought the same phone mount a month ago for my tacoma sr5 4x4 midnight black metallic access cab it works great strong magnet. Good job on your new channel.
Outstanding! The Weathertech Windshield Phone mount kept falling off and I've been looking for a new one. This one looks like it will fill the bill nicely. Thanks for this!
@willyota Great timing with your vid as well. Right after I ordered this mount curiosity struck. Weather Tech pulled the Windshieldphone from their website.
I made a review video on this same mount but the updated version of it which has a different shape for the adhesive area. I mounted mine in that same area in my Tacoma but since I have the updated version with the more oval shaped adhesive part it was able to be mounted a little bit closer toward me so that I can angle my phone better.
Do you think that mount would hold a phone in a battery case? I would but the magnet on the back of the case and not inside it for the best chance of it holding. Phone and case weighs 9 ounces.
How has the magnetic system held up to bumps and offroading? I'm on the fence about it since I've had magnetic mounts, but they usually fail while offroading.
Bullet Point mounting solutions.. I wasn't a fan of the etched "bullet" or their white logo where the phone goes.. BUT it is a solid unit.. point for 2 phones (have to buy extra mount) or 1 phone and a go pro (attachment included). You have to drill into the plastic around the stereo.. Not hard but my phone stays put. Runs about $85.. You can also choose a magnetic mount as well.

Got a link for this? Definitely something as my 2018 doesn't have Google maps for GPS
