This is one of my most favorite channels, and I just love the way you every time start the videos. A genuine flow of passion and happiness radiates. Do you have any video on your recording and editing setup?
Thank you for the kind words :-) I don't yet have a dedicated video describing my desk and office setup but I do talk about it a lot in my live streams, and walk around with a camera sometimes so you all can see things as I point them out. Having said that, I do plan on doing an "office tour" type video at some point in the future :-)
Great tutorial!
Thank you :-)
Awesome Rob, thanks for keeping your word and doing this video. You are an teacher at heart.
Thank you! I hope it helps :-)
Yes it did. Thanks a mil.
TY so much! can you please make a tutorial on how to do the slide over at 3:33
I demonstrated how to create that exact transition in Live Stream #20... here is a direct link to the approximate time in that live stream where I talk about it: th-cam.com/video/RIz6v4C0Cr8/w-d-xo.html
I hope that helps :-)
Hi Rob, I love your videos! I purchased both the Focusrite 2i2 and the Synco D-1 Shotgun Mic that I believe you are using. I have my gains all turned up. I can't seem to get a loud enough audio volume output. Any clue what would cause this?
Hi Greg! Yes that's exactly what I use... Focus 2i2 paired with the Synco D-1 shotgun mic :) I'm not exactly sure what the problem is that you're having, but I can tell you what my settings are... I have my mic plugged in to channel 1 of the Focusrite, and the gain for that channel set at around 12 o'clock position (straight up) when I have the mic close to my mouth for voiceovers, and at 2:30 (turned up louder, almost straight to the right but a little up) when the mic is out of frame for live streaming. That's the only gain that matters. The large volume button is for my monitor speakers I have plugged into the focusrite and the small volume button on the far right is for the headphones. Make sure you press the 48v button to activate the interface before recording. I do not have the Inst or Air buttons pressed, and my Direct monitor is set to the left (green circle lit up). Then the Focusrite is simply plugged into my Macbook. I do not have it plugged into any Cloud Lifter or any other "gain boosting" hardware. Also, make sure your speaker volume is turned all the way down, or off when you're recording... and your recording software (when you press record) should show you your recording levels. Does any of that help?
@@RobtheMaritimer yes Rob ! Thank you so much for the help. I’ll experiment with these settings and see what I get. You are the best!
So this seems to be better than the library. Would be this the 'go to' rather than the library?
I was thinking the same thing!
It seems like the library is a great place to store individual assets that you might like to use in various projects - where a template is better for storing *standardized* elements that are common across multiple projects. 😊
Like Michael said, use the library for storing individual elements, callouts, sound effects, titles, etc... and use the templates to store "partially built projects" is the way I like to think about it... and a template can contain several assets that also exist in your library. I plan on doing a "Library" video very soon and I'll attempt to explain the differences between Library and Templates in more detail there :-)
Rob, Can you help? I'm looking for the intro tab in camtasia 2023. Has it been removed? I'm doing the certficate course and the visual elements sections requires the use of the intros tab.
I'm not familiar with an "Intros" tab... I don't remember ever seeing one. Where exactly was it? What does it do? Sorry... I'm drawing a blank..
@@RobtheMaritimer , sorry for not been clear. It’s the intro folder in the library that store pre-made intros
I don't see an intros folder in the library either. I also checked Camtasia assets and don't see anything titled "intros". I know they reorganized the Media tab a little bit recently... there are now 3 main sections: Media Bin, Camtasia Assets and Libraries... and the Camtasia Assets section is where you used to have to go to their website to find them and then download them... now they're available from within Camtasia. There isn't an "Intros" section, but try looking at the "Titles" section as it may have what you're looking for. OR go to the Library section, select "Camtasia 2023" library, and you can find a lot of assets in there too. But no "Intros" section unfortunately. If they ever had that perhaps they've relabelled it?
@@RobtheMaritimer thanks a mil Rob. I really appreciate your quick response. I think they need to update their course. Take care
