Guys i just have a question. I'm a (paying) member for months now but today i got a message about a new upload on Patreon. Do you guys put the same video's up for Patreon members as well as TH-cam members ? Or do you guys separate them and is it maybe wiser to become member on Patreon instead of TH-cam ? Or do you need to get a payed membership on TH-cam as well as on Patreon, if you want to see "all" the early acces ones.

It's never a great thing when a steady and true poster simply disappears. I hope everything is better now and we will soon see you guys back at YOUR home. Whenever you feel like the weight of the world is on your shoulders, it's hard to truly enjoy each and every day to the fullest. Fingers crossed it was a small squall and not a hurricane!
Water and lights build a home! As long as you have those you will be just fine. Well, you will need a fire every now and then but water and lights are the game changers!

It's not until you distil things right down to a minimum that you can appreciate the fundamentals we usually take for granted. Lights, electrics, a warm shower at the end of a hard day, even clean running water. Most of us have lost touch with that simple appreciation.

When a man has a job to do you can see the steam poor out of his head to get the job done. Dan is in his element. He is the happiest to get to work. Now Laura is showing her happiness that finely the work is getting done. All she has to do is keep Dan fed and give her support. That's what a good marriage is all about. I hope your cold is better Laura. I hope you are not allergic to the dust and moisture in your new home. Perhaps a little fan going will dry the house out when you are not in the building.

The cottage I just purchased is about the same size as your barn. Through your visions, I am gaining information for my place. I have a lot of work ahead of me. The walls, the ceilings, windows and doors. plumbing, electric. Sounds crazy, but I can't wait to get it started. I will be asking you two advice.

We have both subscribed to your channel and we are enjoying watching your journey. We've both been reforming homes for many years. We know very well, it's not always easy. It can be very challenging. You are young and your are doing an excellent job. I understand very well how frustrating is to deal with visas and paper work. Don't loose hope and keep going. What is meant to be will be. In any case, you are adding value to your property. We follow a few people who moved to Portugal and are doing the same u are doing. There is a couple with an exactly situation as you. They have transformed a barn and left the stones exposed outside and did a beautiful job with pointing. Also, inside they left some stone exposed but rendered some parts. It's a beautiful and inspiring work. They also built a mesanine. I believe it will give u some ideas to watch it. It's just a suggestion. Their channel is called " the indies project". Watch the last episode 😉! We are still catching up on your videos and, again, enjoying very much. W normally skip the sponsors parts, but you two are so good at it that we watch them all and have good laughs. Keep going.. we are sure you will be fine. 😘

Hey guys ..don't forget to put instect prevention nets doors ..so on your door you can have two doors one which can always be closed ..can swing back when you open ..find a way to fabricate it to work with the one Yiu have ..plus in all your ventilators put insect prevention nets you can buy them in the hardware store and make a flame and fix it in place that your house will be insect free .. nothing crawling can enter ..thx

Hi Laura&Dan! I'm glad you're back with a new video. Congratulations for your work and for the desire to create a home together. Honestly, I would not have drilled the entire stone structure. On the Life and Living channel, you can find many ideas on how you can get additional space for raising the mezzanine by adding two or three rows of bricks. Of course, the choices are yours, but I would look at the construction of the house in the long term, you won't be the only two and it won't always be comfortable to crawl into the bedroom. Good luck and we are waiting for new videos.

I don't know regs in Portugal, and It might be fine over there, but as an electrician, I had abit of a meltdown with cable routes throughout that video!
