So pleased that you are able to get home for Christmas and spend a special time with family🎄❤ If you do get residency in Portugal, perhaps look into getting a horse, they're the original tractors, they are eco friendly, have four hoof drive and are excellent on rough ground, plus they fuel themselves, their waste products can be used as fertiliser and if things get really bad then you could get a French cookbook and check out the cheval recipes!

I left Hornsea at Midnight Monday and drove down to Bavaria, approx 800 miles, staying over 1 night in the Netherlands. I arrived aound 17:00 this evening. I am now with my Bavarian Wife and family for Christmas. I follow you, as it we had to break through the red tape, to be married in 2016 in Augsburg, we had 9 months to to complete the process, if you failed, you had to start again. The official here was away with the fairies, she kept asking for more and more meaningless paperwork, but we just made it. I am lucky that I have a Residence Permit, it stops my passport being stamped and I have no limit on staying in the EU, the only down side, I have to have a passport and Permit when I am less than 10 miles of a Boarder, to avoid a 50 euro fine. Next Summer my Wife retires and we hope to drive to Spain for a tour. You both amaze me, your skills grow every day and I hope you can find a way to live your life the way you want. Is it possible for you to obtain a Southern Irish passport, this would let settle anywhere in the EU? We wish you and your families a Wonderful Christmas from your Yorkshire and Bavarian Friends.

Way eye Pet back on home turf and see the weather was kind to you'se both. Kitten has grown - Wow!! We up here in Aberdeen faired much better, oh we had snow for 2 days but then it thawed and ever since its rained . Nice to touch base at home guys. Your lovely home in Portugal is also a base and your own little slice of the earth. Not everyone is lucky to have the best of both worlds. I know it's a real challenge with the visas and trying for a baby (hope that's going ok, it took us 12 years and 4 rounds of IVF to get one miracle!) etc, but life has a funny old way of stitching things together as they are meant to be. You've put a lot of time into the homestead, some money too, but at least it's not mortgaged up to the hilt or stressing about renting it out. It's just there, and it's yours. Anyway! I waffle. I left Hornsea at Midnight Monday and drove down to Bavaria, approx 800 miles, staying over 1 night in the Netherlands. I arrived aound 17:00 this evening. I am now with my Bavarian Wife and family for Christmas. I follow you, as it we had to break through the red tape, to be married in 2016 in Augsburg, we had 9 months to to complete the process, if you failed, you had to start again. The official here was away with the fairies, she kept asking for more and more meaningless paperwork, but we just made it. I am lucky that I have a Residence Permit, it stops my passport being stamped and I have no limit on staying in the EU, the only down side, I have to have a passport and Permit when I am less than 10 miles of a Boarder, to avoid a 50 euro fine. Next Summer my Wife retires and we hope to drive to Spain for a tour. You both amaze me, your skills grow every day and I hope you can find a way to live your life the way you want. Is it possible for you to obtain a Southern Irish passport, this would let settle anywhere in the EU? We wish you and your families a Wonderful Christmas from your Yorkshire and Bavarian Friends.

Way eye Pet back on home turf and see the weather was kind to you'se both. Kitten has grown - Wow!! We up here in Aberdeen faired much better, oh we had snow for 2 days but then it thawed and ever since its rained . So Merry Christmas and tell Dan to crack open an bottle or three of Newcastle Brown Ale .

Nice to touch base at home guys. Your lovely home in Portugal is also a base and your own little slice of the earth. Not everyone is lucky to have the best of both worlds. I know it's a real challenge with the visas and trying for a baby (hope that's going ok, it took us 12 years and 4 rounds of IVF to get one miracle!) etc, but life has a funny old way of stitching things together as they are meant to be. You've put a lot of time into the homestead, some money too, but at least it's not mortgaged up to the hilt or stressing about renting it out. It's just there, and it's yours. Anyway! I waffle. Merry Christmas and a happy New year year!

The Magpies are a nice club and I love the town. It is nice to go to with the boat from Hoek van Holland, traveling the night enjoy the day and then travel the night back. Did that a few times in the past. Love the Dialect talked down there as well. Pitty the two of you try to hide it 🤣😂

Seems it's a constant struggle keeping your finances from being drained from opportunistic people. "Knowledge is power" is the best you can do.
