Use the water you are rinsing the car with to keep yourself cool no matter how hot it is you have a cooling system in your hands that’s what most people forget.

Oklahoma based mobile detailer here. I’m just starting out so DI water is out of my realm of affordability. Instead I use a 10x10 folding canopy combined with an in-line RV Water Filter to get the closest result. Still going panel by panel of course. Not the best or quickest solution, but it’s cheap and affordable for beginners trying to start up this summer 👍🏻 Great video!

Try turtle wax and dry product

Keep glass cool. Hot glass will streak whatever you use to clean it. The chemical/catalyst will flash too fast and it’ll all leave streaks. When I’m having to clean glass that’s really hot, I just use carnauba wax. If I’m not gonna wax it, I use a waffle weave with some diluted spray wax. In a pinch, water or IPA/water equal mix and a black/white newspaper works wonders as well.

Some great tips here in this video. I bail to my truck and blast the AC for 5 mins when I get too hot to get my temperature down. Not as hot where I am in Florida, (only) 90 yesterday, but the humidity sucks the life out of you. Water, Gatorade, snacks, canopy, AC, the right clothing, all vital to stay healthy.

I live in las vegas in the summer time it gets from 100* to 110* F there's been two tips I've found that have helped me when cleaning cars when it gets that hot one get DI water when you put water on your car it drys so fast when it gets that hot so this helps ease the mind knowing I won't be putting any hard water on the customers car the 2nd tip is not doing the hole car at the same time but go section by section i treat the roof the front and side glasses and trunk glass as one section the hood and grill section as another the bottom sides bellow the glass left and right as another then the bottom trunk as another section get those sections to the point where there almost completely dry or ready to be dry before starting on another section it may take a little longer but that's fine at least its gonna come out clean

    • @desf5363

@@CTTH100 All depends on how you use it. I only use it for the final rinse. On the website it says you can get 2,000 gallons at 100 TDS. I checked my tds level and was at 200 tds. I’d say I use max 4 gallons on the final rinse. So I can get about 500 washes before changing the rinsin.

@@CTTH100 hey, I got about 3 months worth before my resin died. Got it early may and early august it was done and ordered new resin.
So like 3 months and I was doing about 20-30 cars each month, I did 2 RV’s, so those used a bunch of water.
The website says the di pro 100 can do 4000 gallons at a tds ppm of 100. Here in Las Vegas I have 500 tds ppm😔. I have a 65 gallon tank that I fill, so I got about 14 refills.

Dri-Fit long sleeves fishing shirts do a few tricks. Long sleeves keeps you from dipping sweat everywhere and keeps the sun off your skin and I know some fishing shirts specifically can reduce UV rays and the dri-fit material will help keep you cooler than cotton.

Even rinsing it down and trying cool the panels is pointless...it’s not your fault the customer can’t provide shade, just gotta work around it!! You always wanna do 1000% great work but it only takes so many chemical stains to convince you otherwise! DI water is a must...
