    100% agree on the coating packages. I have one coating package in which I coat everything - paint, black trim, headlights, brakelights, wheels, windows, badging, grill - every exterior surface. Starts at 1500 ( cars) - 2,000 (SUV) for new or exceptionally well maintained vehicles and goes up depending on condition of the car and how long it will take. I base my estimates on minimum of $100/ hr.
    If you're just starting out and think those prices are too high - go do what's needed to attract a high end client base and come back and say that in 5 or 10+ years. You'll see what I mean. The work is out there. Go get it.

    This was awesome. Im about to start a side hustle (zero interest to make it my permanent job) and Im going to start with 4 cars for free. 2 are mine a truck and small suv, 1 is a full sedan, and 1 is a ZR1 Corvette C7 (fam vehicles that help me out). Im going to do a full detail and time every step to get an idea of time invested vs worth my time money wise. I plan on 90% 1 step and no coatings to keep it simple (protection yes just no ceramic ir complicated ones). Any tips for a newbie? I plan on downloading you book also..

    QUESTION:
    Is there a specific reason why you haven’t switched all you polishers over to cordless?
    Like I use my Milwaukee battery powered orbital polisher 9/10 depending on the job but seems to be similar cut and time, etc. Just wondering why more people haven’t switched over. Am I missing something???

      You need to add a neutralizer after cleaning it. While it’s still wet use something like Fabric Rx from Shine Supply or the Finisher from P&S

    • @marshprofessionaldetailing9794
      @marshprofessionaldetailing9794 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The cleaner you're using may be drawing the stain back to the top or off of whomever sits there and back into the fabric. If you don't completely remove it with an extraction or neutralize the shampoo this issue will continue to occur. I hope this helps.

    100% having a 3, 6, & 9 year coating is silly. They hardly grasp what a ceramic coating is anyway. 90% are sketched about the price anyway, of course they’d pick 3 year. I tell them I use a 5 year titanium dioxide as the default but they can also pick their favorite have me install it.

    OSCAR OSCAR IF YOU'RE USING 3D SPEED GREAT. BUT MAY I SUGGEST 3D ATT 505 CORRECTION GLAZE. 3D SPEED WAS SUPPOSED TO BE DISCONTINUED AND REPLACED WITH 505 CORRECTION GLAZE. IT IS THE SAME EXACT THING EXCEPT THAT THE CORRECTION GLAZE HAS MORE PROTECTION AND CUTS A BIT MORE. THE GLOSS AND PROTECTION IS SO MUCH MORE THAN THE 3D SPEED. NO DUST AND EASY TO REMOVE AND SUN FRIENDLY. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE 3D ATT 505 CORRECTION GLAZE. AND IF YOUR GOING TO USE CORRECTION COMPOUND. USE 3D ONE, NO DUST, NO FILLERS BUT LEAVES THE PANEL OILY. IT ADJUST WITH THE PAD YOU USE.
    SO ONE COMPOUND IS USED FOR WHICH EVER PAD YOUR GOING TO USE. THAT'S WHY IT'S CALLED 3D ONE. I CARRY 3D ATT 505 CORRECTION GLAZE, 3D POXY, AND 3D ONE. THAT'S ALL I REALLY NEED. THEN JUST ADJUST THE PAD NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE.

      If its outside of their range as far as the area they cover some do. To me it’s understandable because again its outside of their business radius and they have to use extra gas that isn’t accounted for so if you want that service from them the 10% travel fee should be reasonable.

    Why would you even offer a 3 to 5k service on a job that the customer could probably just have the car repaint for the same price and probably look alot better than paint correction. Sometimes it's best to be honest with customers and turn down jobs that to quote jobs that don't make sense in the real world. I am sure that customer that you quoted 3 to 5k for a paint correction walked out of there thinking you were crazy. Instead of you explaining that what he/she was expecting was beyond expectations in value. You lost a customer because you didn't put yourself in the customers shoes. You have the experience and knowledge... use it run your business not to turn away business

    • @Bryans_Garage
      @Bryans_Garage 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      A 3 to 5k paint job is not going to be a quality job. You will have flaws like dirt nibs, sanding marks, orange peel texture. Not detriming all the panels and just tapping off will cause the clear coat to peel a few years later.

    • @roysoliz3610
      @roysoliz3610 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Bryans_Garage it depends where you get the paint job. I know some shops that for 5k you get a better paint job than factory. And then you have some shops that you can pay 10k and you get what you are talking about. But my point wasn't about a paint job 🙄 you missed the entire topic of the response

    • @Bryans_Garage
      @Bryans_Garage 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@roysoliz3610 your very first sentence says a 3-5k paint job would look better then paint correction shows your ignorance. My response was to that first sentence. Many people feel a quality paint job can be done for 3k-5k and it's just simply far from the truth.
      Maybe if you go to Ricky Bobby that paints in his garage and doesn't have a million+ down draft booth and an actual paint mixing system. Sure he can beat the rates from a quality body shop. The costs to operate a body shop are very high.

      i had to repaint the hood, roof and top of the trunk on one of the cars that i had, went to a shop that does an incredible job, for those 3 things he quoted me 3 grand, so i seriously doubt that u can get a paint job looking like from a factory for 5 grand, unless its maaco where they dont even bother to mask the vehicle
