I got this shelter a year ago - what really bristled me is the limit on slot machines. What casino has 5? A nice compromise on BGS's part would've been giving players dummy slot machines to fill out the floor. I found a hole upstairs in the ceiling of the left mezzanine - I put a Sympto-matic on the ceiling rafters which let me build a shelter wireless generator above the main bar/dice sculpture centerpiece and power the entire casino.
Are you serious? Why did they do this? We need dummy versions of sinks and all resource generators also. And we have a lounge singer dweller who we can't put in this shelter.
That limit on slots sucks. I was thinking my next camp theme would be a casino/museum and when I saw this shelter come on sale was considering buying it and doing casino shelter instead of camp, but a limit of 5 would really hold back the immersive element

This is intimidating! The shelter is probably worth the atoms for serious builders; it presents challenges that could provide many many hours of entertainment...kind of like a game within a game for those who are patient and like puzzle solving🤔
This is one of my fave shelters. I have used up about 80% budget and built my own casino/entertainment venue with dinner & show and a mini Nuka World on Tour. It’s still not complete but slowly getting there. Deffo worth it but it’s one for someone who has a lot of items to build with to get the most out of it.

I've had fun with this one. This is the shelter that came out as the same time the ex large full shelter generator. I got that and placed it in the ceiling. If you hook up an electric post, this should light up the interior. Trying to remember. 🐴 It's easy to get shelter entrances into the upper floor hallways and place the elevator or alien full wall sliding doors over the top of them. If that center piece actually lit up on it's own it would make everything so much better in there. I started to build but gave up due to how much space there is and the limits of the budget.

I agree. I'm thinking of barricading the rest of this shelter as well. I really like the corner that I built out, but there's too much empty space for my liking. It could literally be tenth of the size and be excellent.
Going into freecam sometimes helps, as does just letting things sit for a couple days and coming back to try again. No idea why, but it can and does usually work.

I'd utilize shelters a lot more if there was a fast travel option to go directly to your shelter. Having to go to your camp, and then hit another loading screen, is a little too much. I don't do a lot of aesthetic building and while the shelter provides a lot of extra building budget for the camp, doing the back and forth between camp to shelter really kills the utility of having it for me. Lighting overall in this game seems extremely meager, which is probably why light budget is so crippling. Lights just never shed enough light. You can put so many light fixtures in a room, and still have such a dark room. It's boggling. Like Bethesda doesn't know light carries more than 3 feet.
While my computer plays the game no problem, it loads the game really slow so I hate extra loading screens. My shelters are only used for daily quests and I kinda feel bad when other players visit my shelter to just see random piles of junk from a "Build X in a Shelter" quest
I get it but having to travel to your camp before entering the shelter is a necessity. it's how the game works. your camp isn't 'in-game' until someone or you enters its load zone. most players have multiple shelters and one shelter entrance may not be present at the other camp too. This shelter's lighting is dark but it's nice because it has a bunch of ambient lighting at least. I don't know why they didn't release an atlantic city boardwalk beach shelter but we need more shelters that is nicely dark and open. Then again the light budget's fine. Hoping they'd increase it to 75 in the future but even so, 50 is plenty. The are other buildables that provide ambient light and don't count in the light budget. Merge light sources into objects you want to light up to hide them. Use displays, some items like radkelp give off light and effects.
@@BxBxProductions The shelter is an instanced zone, it shouldn't be necessary to load your camp to enter it. The shelter entrance is just a prop. I'm usually of the sam opinion, but in this one, I didn't feel like I was missing out. At all. I think it depends on the decor. Down in a casino, would you really have a waste oil collector or something?
In my opinion, if your not somone that likes camp and shelter building, dont bother with the atom shop at all. I've been burned many a time with my purchases, and again, only because I love building. None of the collectors are really worth it, and any of the scrap and loot you end up getting is about as valuable as what you get from random mob loot drops. I've enjoyed the process, but with all the overpriced items, ridiculous limits on building(one triumph terrace house, really?) and the focus on the most worthless character customization(its like they wanted to introduce pronouns but were afraid to fully commit to another obvious virtue signal, so instead, we got "titles") I'm probably on my way out. Maybe I'll be back in 2030 when fallout 5 hits, lol. I hope so. I love the games, but this endless cashgrabbing and failure on expansive content is just a waste of time better spent on other titles.

Do your research first, count your atoms, but definitely don't avoid the Shop all together. Join us on Tuesdays instead and watch me test drive things in real time.
No shelter is ever worth purchasing. Its completely pointless to have a shelter. 99% of the time no one visits & people who put their vending machines inside a shelter will ultimately get skipped over most of the time. It's an extra loading screen & a hastle. Shelters will always be a failure and nothing but a cash grab.
Couldn't disagree more. I have seen A BUNCH of gorgeous and brilliant shelters in my travels, including torture chambers, moonshiner's cellars, underground fantasy forests and gardens, puzzle camps, saloons, speakeasies, and many more.
@Gamer_Aviator agree with you. I've been walked by camp builders a few times who have almost every shelter in game and they are all different themes, including one person who built a scene from a movie and when you went through a shelter it was another scene from that movie and then into another shelter. It was seriously awesome.
@@Gamer_AviatorI agree! I've seen some really beautiful shelters, took time to visit them and have seen others in them. Shelters also give you extra space to build if that's your thing as well.
@Gamer_Aviator Game devs could make camps better but instead make people pay for shelters. You disagree because of the stuff you can do inside a shelter. All that stuff should've been allowed in camps. Shelters is a cash grab.
@nikkim8233 and yet regular camps are neglected. Thank you for proving my point. Shelters are cash grabs, and the devs should've improved the actually camps building mechanics.

Hmmm. Gonna have to disagree. The Atomic Shop is a great resource. Certainly don't rush into buying every single thing that looks cool. Do your research first, count your atoms, but definitely don't avoid the Shop all together. Join us on Tuesdays instead and watch me test drive things in real time.
You’re alone in your opinion, and I disagree strongly
So... which brahmin face are you supposed to look at when watching Noodlepants? LOL!
you can see from the vid that it's still way too dark - not worth it imho
it's definitely dark

Hello!
It's worthless. If I knew it only held 5 slots I'd never had bought it.
Worthless i a bit of a stretch, but I hear your frustration.
