It took me a while to realize nothing was "wrong" with me because of anxiety and depression. I suffered in silence for most of my life, then eventually got so fed up I decided to see a therapist...I told him that I just want to get to the bottom of what's going on. I made it a mission to find out what my programming was, because I knew the programming I had from the past was not helpful. Learning that nothing was "wrong" and that I wasn't at faul was a huge step, then I learned how and why to set boundaries, how to be ok with not being ok, mindfulness meditation (books like 30 Days to Reduce Anxiety by Harper Daniels taught me good exercises), etc.
Hey Mike, I have a question… I’m 530 days Quit Smoking… And I am now struggling with massive anxiety since quitting that has not been able to be calmed… SSRI got it to a reasonable level, but still struggling greatly… Do you think it’s possible for people who have been smoking for so long, that might have ADHD/dopamine deficiency to never know it until they quit and then doctors think you crazy
I think it's possible, sure. Have you been to a doctor/psychologist? And if you're not getting the treatment you feel you deserve, always worth a second opinion.
@@cynicalmikey8769 , I brought it up to them and anxiety / adhd have similar “traits” but they give the “anything is possible” line. Since you have experience in the quit/relapse process as well creating mental health awareness videos. I was wondering if you can see a BIG link either personally or by your research. Thanks for your content man.. found your videos as I was quitting and I keep up with your content as I feel we all are in this together.
