I am having a VERY BAD sensory overload day, and I am having a hard time getting through it. This video helps a lot. Just hearing your voice and heating you talk about the things that help you, really helps me. I don't know what to do to help me, but watching this video makes me feel better. I know that I'm not alone. Thank you.

Music helps me alot. Its like...a way to express myself to myself through someone else. Or if it's me making the music then its even better cuz one can express themselves through themselves for themselves. I cherish the gift of being able to make the music I most identify with. Playing guitar is an important stim for me. I get overly anxious and even depressed when I'm deprived of the ability to do it.

Chole, I so needed this today:). I am not Autistic, but today is kind of a "Yuck Day" for me and we all have them. I so LOVE your Dog, Matilda and your Cat Biscuit:)!! I LOVE to cuddle my Cat, Mr. Spratt and Mr. Spratt is really an adorable, loving gentleman cat:)!! Chole, I so LOVE your Bunny Mug too:)!! I too drink Almond Milk because I can not digest actual Cow's Milk at all. Yes, your video has some important for tips on finding relaxation and peace for a bad day as well as for anxiety. I also like to listen to music from Louis Tomlinson to Elton John to David Lanz to 2002, to David Wahler to David Mauk to Richard Burmer, and more to relax and feel better:). Writing in a journal, drawing, watching fun T.V. shows, and definitely being with animals are key for cheering up as much as calming down:)!! I like to watch recordings on my Boyfriend's DVR of The Brady Bunch and Peyo's 1980s Smurfs Cartoons:)!! Thank you Chole for sharing these really good tips:)!!

I start stressing, I could feel the texture in my hands, i got anxious, there’s a lot of noise outside of my house, I’m bawling, I don’t know what to do to calm myself, I’ve never felt it this strong, it’s way more stronger than me. :( this helped, I love you Chloe, you are the reason why I woke up every morning

I read the most amazing novel, "kitchens daughter", or something like that. Anyway the woman in it, both her ma and dad get killed in a car accident, so it's kinda sad, but she is "different", maybe even autistic, she hates being touched and large crowds. When she gets super uncomfortable, she had THE MOST awesome, new ideas to me anyway, of how to distract herself and keep calm-ish......according few of my favs: she is really into and amazing at cooking, so when she's anxious in public, she pictures herself eating say hot sauce. Or something with hot sauce on it, and goes throuh in her mind, how it tsstes, textures, etc. Another is she imagines a sugar cube, in cold water, as if it's in warm, it will dissolve. She is like the sugar cube, she tells herself, not crumbling, staying together and forever strong. The last distraction technique, imagine an unpeeled onion. How you'd cut the top off, and imagine peeling off the skin, then finally layer after layer of the onion inside. Just thought those could maybe help you ...I've already pictured the sugar cube and it's proving to be a great tool.plus it's something u can do INSIDE your own head, that no one will know your doing, so it won't be embarassing, or anything. Good luck, if u try any please let me know how or if they work for you. Hope this helps. Ps I have more and more days where I'll not be able to take ANY MORE noise,I don't know how people binge watch, I am lucky if my sensory overload can handle a 2 hour tv show, some days, even if I mute the commercials, light can bother me too and food textures. It's why I won't eat pasta, I can't do rubbery, slimy foods, etc.

I don't know if I have autism or any sensory processing issues but for some reason some senses, textures mostly, make me super overwhelmed and sometimes anxious. like sometimes finding crumbs/having crumbs on me, always things relating to ice, overwhelming smells (sour cream in looking at you), or being in a really crowded/new place. Most days it isn't bad, and happens very minimally if at all, but sometimes little things like baking or eating something messy can send me into a spiral. I don't have any trouble with social cues or anything like that. I talked to some of my friends and they didn't have it as bad as me or like me and I'm honestly just confused. It's really frustrating sometimes and I wanna know why it happens.
