- Investigating & Fixing a non start fault on a 2007 Vauxhall Vivaro 2.0 cdti same as Renault trafic. Fault code P2293 fuel pressure regulation store. Fault fixed by replacing fuel primer / pipe , primer split and letting air into system.

Mine will stat from cold but only runs for a couple of mins then cuts out. If I keep the revs up it will run but cuts out and then back in again. Once it’s hot and been run it’s seems fin. I will check the fuel pipe now I have seen your video, but any other thoughts?
A few issues may cause it , maybe worth check the egr valve and air flow meter
I had the same fault code but in my case it was the garage that did my service cocked up the fuel filter change and didn't install the seal correctly. The van would cut out after it had been running for a minute or so. But would restart after quite a bit of cranking. If the bulb is ok, it is worth checking both seals on the fuel filter and check that the previous garage haven't over tightened the bolt. Grrr. I replaced the fuel filter as it was the cheapest easiest thing to do as there was no obvious leak and the air bubbles in the clear section were continuous. Looking at the seal I could see that it had been badly installed due to the center line spiralling in and dirt being on the surface of that section of the seal. I had replacement lines/bulb ready to order if this hadn't solved it.
Looks like I am back to doing routine maintenance myself after 20+ years of having garages do it for me.

Thanks for the vid , some good tips on your channel 👍🏻, I changed my fuel filter on a Renault master 2.3 and no start after but there’s no primer , the prime pump is in the tank , there’s an air lock in the high pressure fuel pump and zero stuff on TH-cam how to bleed one of these pumps , I’ve brought a bulb primer kit I’ll try and get the pump full that way, thanks for the vid 👍🏻

Great video. I have the same issue. Mine won’t start. I have fuel going to h.p fuel pump on the engine. But no fuel from the pump to the fuel rail. I have no error codes though?
Hmm possibly the fuel regulator on the fuel pump , I can’t remover if it will have a fuel cut off switch on that model , be worth checking first too!

How to change the fuel primer bulb though? The bottom connection is an interference fit on plastic pipe. It's really tight. Hot air gun? Any other tips for releasing and fitting this part?
Yeah you cant replace just the bulb , it only comes part of the Pipe mate
@@diydaly Yet, you can buy the bulb as a standalone part, so there must be a way?
@@PreservationEnthusiast you can just sleeve them with rubber fuel hose & jubilee clip. the only other way is using a proper rigid pipe crimping tool
so the connection pipe that goes to top of fuel filter to primer bulb, that one you can heat up and pull it off, reheat it and it will go over the new bulb. the bottom one. i got a 10mm fuel pipe, which fits perfect to base of primer bulb. then take an 8mm drill bit, and core into the 10mm pipe. this will allow you to fit the existing pipe (to tank) into the 10mm pipe and jubille clip it. i tried the heat gun but it wouldnt do it far enough to seal. so i did it this way..
I've got a 63 plate and noticed air bubbles in a clear pipe in similar position when the engine is running. Would that cause starting issues? Sometimes it starts first time sometimes it takes a while
yeah could well be mate, bubbles is a sign of air in the system

I have the same fault in my Renault Trafic. Does the engine smoke white when started, apart from air bubbles in the system?
