The price for the plan, before the discount, is so reasonable. I know how long the computer modeling takes and I’m very impressed by the price. Looking forward to checking the plan out and seeing upcoming videos. Thank you

Glad I came across your channel. I'm looking into a similar DIY setup in my 99 4Runner. I really like that your design is stable by using the factory tie-downs...... yet, easily removable if you need to use the whole space for occasionally transporting a larger bulky item. I will likely lower the platform a few inches (maybe down to the height of the wheel wells), because I am 6'1" and could use the room. Any timeline for a video on your solar shower? or solar panel electrical?

Ah yess the 99! With the chrome bumper?? Sounds like a smart adjustment. - And yes! It just so happens I am uploading a new video today. It's a detour from the snail runner, but with this finished it means solar setup video is next. So stay tuned!

Thanks for putting these build plans out there, this is very exciting! I'm curious what you might suggest as a modification for making the bed platform extend on either side to be flush with the side doors in order to lay out a full sized mattress?

what an interesting challenge! A tricky problem to solve... perhaps leave a little extra room under the wheel well cover area and have additional extension pieces under there? Or keep the extensions exact as they are, but pull them out completely and rotate 90 degreess to better fill the space? Not sure how to make this viable but that is where I would start with my brainstorming...

Will this fit a 1stg gen 4 runner ? Could you please share the with and length of the main storage box (need to make sure it would work on my truck) thank you!!!

You know - I cannot say for certain because I only have the one.. BUT, I can tell you the box is 3' 2 7/16" wide and 3' 3 3/8" deep. In theory, if you make the box shallower the back seats can fit too? Though I estimate you'd loose about a foot of storage/surface area. Hope this helps!

Nice! So , I followed some of your plans(from watching the video) and others for my build in my 2001 3rd gen, rather than building support for that last part to sleep on I used hinges so it folds twice so I can get 6’, while also being able to put seats back in if I ever wanted to use them. Were you suprised how expensive the drawer sliders were? I ended up getting the heavy duty ones, since I didn’t want them sagging but damn spendy🤑..I didn’t do the back hatch window switch but that’s next. Do you have website or email? Love to share what I did..love the channel👍🏻

Just found this channel myself. I am curious as to how the fold out extension is working for you, also being 6'. Do you still have the low storage hatch in the front space? Where does it go when folded up? Is it sturdy? If you dont have the front part, does the rear section work with seats folded down, or do they need to be fully removed? So cool to see others are still trying these plans out.

I love to hear this! Sounds like a cool modification. Would love to see pics, you can email kendellbot @ gmail . com --- hopefully the robots can't figure that out!
When I bought the drawer slides they were really affordable, but that was also right before the pandemic... so things were cheaper.
