    The favorite system I have tried so far: learning to eat well (tasty, very nutritious, look-forward-to-it food) without cooking. Delightful, cookin-free meals. It saves so much time, complexity, equipment, space and hassle, and I love it.

    First of all, this video is awesome. I was a little disappointed that we didn’t get a solid number for the number of spent shotgun hulls that fit in a 3l msr pot but I’ll figure it out myself. Lol.
    As far as the water jugs, those military ones are definitely the way to go. It’s absolutely true that they’re strangely expensive. They’re also designed to be thrown out of helicopters in a way that the reliance one was not. Interestingly, there is a flexible flip nozzle thingo that is designed to screw on to the threaded pour spout. Last I checked it was $25. Worth having, but strangely expensive for what it is.

    • @kendellharbin
      @kendellharbin  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for this feedback Paul. And yes, not at liberty to disclose that number. -- Also, the helicopter-proof aspect of those jugs makes a lot of sense! I might consider switching to that in the future sine my reliance tends to leak a bit...

    Awesome run-through! The camp kitchen is my biggest headache trying to get it dialed in perfectly. Just watched your other video and am looking forward to seeing more about your sleeping platform build. I'm planning mine out (loosely) for my 3rd gen in my head while I'm offshore.
    Also, I agree the yetis are a scam but I got mine for free so you're not talking me out of it! It's the most expensive camp chair I've ever owned, but it would be nice if half the cooler capacity wasn't taken up by the insane insulation.
    Thanks for the videos! You're definitely inspiring me to dig through some thrift stores.

    Just stumbled across your videos. Very excited for your video about coolers, I am doing research right now before I start looking for mine. The gear comparison video is awesome! I love to hear people talk about how they make life on the road work for them. I love using a scrub brush but I am going to for sure try using some grass for cleaning my dishes when I get out on the road 😁 Dried grass I assume or does it matter?

      Hey arnie, thanks! I was thinking the same thing, actually. Initially, I thought making a youtube video would be 'silly'... but after seeing how my take on things wasn't exactly echoed by the cis-male dominated scene I said why the hell not! And turns out, they are really fun to make!

  • @SMafam5
    @SMafam5 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Oh and I 2nd that Nogent French can opener (though it’s more expensive than it used to be) - it’s longevity surpasses any others and yes very intuitive. I love 3 nesting pots and I love having 2 fry pans as well…usually a combo of cast iron & a nonstick lighter fry pan. I also love nesting pots without handle attached - like magma but they are expensive and so there’s similar 3 SS t-gal ingenio set that’s much cheaper (going to test them out soon) and I use those flat silicone lids.
    For those of us feeding usually 10 people or more - I’m able to fit 6 SS MSR bowls and 6 plates inside the 7piece magma set.
    I like Campcraft Outdoors utensil roll because the top flap snaps back (over a rod or bungee or tree branch) and can hang vertically because counter space is precious.
