It's an ancient and primal reaction to what Heilung are doing. You're feeling "the call" in your DNA. All/most people can trace ancestry back to nomadic peoples in the post-Ice Age world and Heilung are tapping into that. The first time I watched/listened to this performance from beginning to end was completely on a lark; I'd never heard of them before. I cried so much (out of joy) I had a headache when it was over.
Remember, that we all are brothers
All people, beasts, trees and stone and wind
We all descend from the one great being
    That was always there
Before people lived and named it
    Before the first seed sprouted

I love your reaction… music can really transport us . I was soooo lucky to have heard Heilung just before tickets went on sale. And I’m in Australia which is often too far for all musicians to travel. Just the most beautiful and inspiring night, seeing Heilung. Don’t miss any opportunity to see them live. Thanks again for showing your feelings , Julia

Thanks for your reaction! Please, react to a live mystic performance of Olena Uutai - "The call of Shaman: Jaw harp trance"! She is from Saha Yakutia (North Siberia) and she had progressed to the semifinals of the show "Britain's Got Talent"-2018.
Olena brought her unique mix of animal noises and jaw harp to the BGT Semi’s.

You have entered the world of Heilung and what you were feeling is natural. Their music speaks to the tribal DNA in all of us. Humans, after all, are tribal creatures. I do recommend listening to more of their music. Maria Franz has such an incredible voice.
When it comes to groups who utilize traditional instruments in different ways the list is endless with some being better known than others but they’re all worth a listen to.
May I recommend a bit newer group Otyken and their most recent video “Phenomenon.” They are a Siberian group but they do things differently than Heilung.

The whole LIFA live at Castlefest concert was epic. I even bought the blu-ray
    Alfadhirhaiti
    Othan
    Hamrer hippyer
    Krigsgaldir
You might like Wardruna also. Same genre.
    Raido, official video
    Lyfjaberg, official video
    Kvitraven, official video
Also have a look at Danheim, Paleowolf, Skald.
You seem to like symphonic metal. Have a look at Ayreon.
Start with: The day that the world brakes down.
Then have a look at both live concerts:
    Ayreon Universe live
The electric castle live and other tales.
You will see a lot of very well known musicians. And if you listen to the albums, you will meet more.
Musicians like Floor Jansen, Marko Hietala, Bruce Dickinson, Steve Vai etc.

They even sing in proto-Germanic, a reconstructed language based on modern German, Norse, English and related languages. Their instruments don't contain electronics, but they are the most metal band I've ever heard of.

There music or ritual will activate the dormant gentics of our ancestors regardless of culture. Its deeper than that. Its also could be the call from mother earth calling her children back and if you hear and feel moved than this is just a start of your new life. Enjoy!

    • @I_scribbles
      @I_scribbles ปีที่แล้ว

@littlemouse yes our mother is calling those who can hear back to her. Rough times lie ahead for many who can't. If it resonates, then that resonation grows! If you find yourself wanting to be closer to nature and a yearning, then call out to her in your heart and in your actions, she is always listening, and she will respond. When we depart from this realm, it is our body that goes back to her. We borrow this vehicle if you live by her rules, then a long life she will reward you with. Nature will teach you.

Hielung are amazing if you like this sort of music! I dont like all their songs- quite a few of them are too much toward the none musical /historical /religious aspect of what they do- they are no just musicians- they are about recreating historicaly accurate and religious elements, which makes some 'songs' more just chants/etc that dont do much for me in terms of music- but half their songs like this one, sound AMAZING! I'll list a few more i really like.
th-cam.com/video/SVbc_Fwbt50/w-d-xo.html Anoana (an actual music video they did)
    th-cam.com/video/zzteYM2Xv0M/w-d-xo.html Othan
And Something very similar - Wardruna and Aurora - Helvegen (Live) th-cam.com/video/FnkTuHP9q3o/w-d-xo.html
Wardrunna are a similar norse music related band but with a male singer - and here, they are doing a colab with Aurora - an amazing female singer who also does traditional norse music.
p.s Did you know Heilung are doing the music - at least some of it, for hellblade 2?

GOD i can’t WAIT for Hellblade 2 😂 Heilung had been popping up in my recommended for MONTHS and I never clicked on it for some reason, then I enjoyed the first hellblade and saw the trailer for the second and I thought the music was super cool. Searched it up and low and behold it was the band YT had been recommending for the longest time 😂 I’ve been hooked ever since, it’s only been a year and I’ve already seen em live lmao

Thank you for the info! Does she sing in any other band or just Heilung?

    • @littlemouse7066
      @littlemouse7066 ปีที่แล้ว

@@VelcroReacts she's also a musician and song writer. she's in another band called Euzen that makes modern music and Songleikr that makes normal folk music. Heilung is the most experimental project because they use poems and runic inscription from the iron age the bronze age and the viking age so they use ancient languages like for instance old english old norse proto germanic so she doesn't sing in her language. I also want to say they are serious about this for example Maria headgear is an almost exact copy of one found in an archeological dig in Sweden in the tomb of a female shaman.
you can watch the Narupo and Anoana videos they are great.

I think that deep down we all carry very similar memories, no matter where you are from, what heritage you have, if you are white black men woman etc etc etc. All peoples in the past from any place in the world prayed nature and its gods and goddesses, used to sing mostly with percussions. We all have those memories buried inside. I think you got emotional and cried because, listening to this powerful and honest music, _you remembered_ . We all did listening to Heilung! 🖤
