This is honestly my favourite Paradox game of all the new releases. I wish multiplayer speed was a little faster so we could play even more, but the game is mad fun while remaining quite relaxing, even when you're at war. Something about organising an economy until the GDP goes brrrrr always scratches a good itch in my head.
Thankfully 5 speed is LIGHTNING FAST in Victoria 3 so I'm gonna be playing a lot of singleplayer, to be sure.

Also, seeing this cursed timeline makes me want to see an alternate history book on it.

I bet you they WERE going to battle, but at the last moment Britain fucked the nope out of there while China shot everything at an enemy that wasn't there, ultimately killing their own soldiers.

I was already planning to spend my first playthrough as the Dutch, because I figured playing as my homeland of Britain would be WAY too complex to attempt without getting in some experience with a smaller nation first.
The exploits of the British AI in this video have firmly cemented that plan as an extremely smart idea!
