If you were to play non-stop without sleep for the duration of the game, while eating enough food and drinking enough water, you would break the Guiness World Record for longest time spent awake consecutively (and likely DESTROY your body's metaphorical sleep clock)

The "keep drawing, idiot" house rule is obviously the best house rule.
I play by that rule, and once me, my mom, my brother, and a friend ended up playing for like an hour because my brother and the friend were each holding like half the cards in the deck by about 15 minutes in.

The fact that they never learn the controls for TTSim adds so much to the scuff.
It turns every session into another torture game, I love it.
Every action they take is 100 times more complex since they never realize it can be done far more easily.
(Showing someone else your hand, drawing a precise number of cards from a deck, etc).
As someone who plays TTS on the regular, it's both hilarious and painful to watch. Pressing a number to draw that many cards while hovering over a deck is just so much QoL in and of itself that I can't believe NONE of them have learned yet, it's honestly impressive.

I -seriously- want a dedicated board game channel from Vale and group. I love every single time any tabletop simulator video pops up on Valefisk's channel, welcoming me for an hour of comradery and hatred in equal measure.
As an aside, Totally feel for Maivi, as someone who is struggling with a set of teeth that is breaking down as well. I miss crunchy food too.

you hear in the comments about uno amalgam, or chemicards, but have you seen uno insanity in the workshop? it has over 5k cards in it. So if you're looking for an immediate sequal well there you go. Do note that it took me loading it completely several times in order to get it to work, so you may have to do that too. Also there is no rulebook, instead you have to hover over cards to see what they do.

Pretty sure the colorless cards are supposed to gunk up the play pile, since they're basically a "rare" color that you can only match with their numbers or another colorless card. It looks like the players are just treating them as blank wildcards, though

Fun fact I used to play uno (just regular uno, only change was that if you had to draw a card you were going to keep drawing cards until you got it) with my grandparents and one of our games lasted multiple days. We took breaks but it must have been like 6/9 or so hours of just Uno. Some of the best time I’ve ever had.
On the topic of dental injuries (it’s a valid topic, the video brought it up first) I know someone who copied their tooth on the sidewalk once, got a crown, and then years later broke the crown because they were using their teeth to break apart legos. I think they’ve lost that tooth’s crown multiple times, but I only recall the Lego incident.
My older brother had his front two teeth snapped in half by a friend throwing a plastic gun and accidentally hitting him in the face. The tooth halves were able to be glued back on but to this day he has trouble with chewing things head on(like he can’t take a bite out of an apple without it being cut up and stuff like that). He has like a very noticeable line on his front two teeth where the break happened and like no amount of brushing seems to get rid of it. Stains just build up in there
I remember when I was younger we had like 15 different types of uno and I combined all the cards from them into a single deck I called uno ultimate. Deck must have been 8-10 inches tall so we split it into 4 smaller ones

We used to play a game we dubbed "Suffering Uno"
You combine all available Uno and Solo decks you have, and play with the rules Maivi said here, so you only draw one and don't play if you had to draw.
And then a few extra rules:
If you don't pay attention, +2. Be extra strict on this, but just casually keep placing cards in front of someone if they aren't taking their turn, or throw +2 at them if they ask whose it is, or any question really.
If you don't put your card on top of the pile, +2.
You are only out if you get an empty hand and the turn gets to you, and handswaps are valid until then.
If a 9 comes up, everyone has to put their hands on the pile. Last one to do so draws it all.
And there is another lose condition: if there aren't enough cards for you to draw, you "lost"
There is a bunch more I'm forgetting I'm sure, but this is the gist.
Something that will help you in the future: you can hover over a deck and press a number on your keyboard, the game will draw that many cards into your hand. Hitting two numbers in quick succession combines them. Example, hitting 1 and 5 quickly will draw 15.
I love how in a Valefisk board game video, the goal post for winning moves from "win the game" to "please, someone just end this"

I once played a game of Uno with over ten players and we had two decks, one of them being Uno Flip. Nobody could lose cards in the long run so it was decided whoever had the lowest would be eliminated each round. 0 & 7 rules were in play so deck sizes changed all the time. In the end, I think I one with a literal handful of cards.
They're learning. It took ten whole minutes of videos (more of real time) for Vale to wrangle them into actually playing the game

This reminds me of my “school rules” me and my friends used to play. We’d have 4 decks and we’d regularly play allow adding the as many +4/2 or the lovely “get angry with a blank card so pick up half the deck”. It was always some crazy bullshit to piss off the person next to you and was GREAT. I miss it

Playing with Vale is like doing a side quest you think will take at least 10 mintues and it takes a full hour
in tabletop sim, to show someone your hand, you can right click on any card in your hand and one of the options is 'show hand', letting you choose which color to show your hand to

The first difference in how me and my friends/family play Uno compared to Valefisk, the cards that make you draw +2 or any colour +4. In vanilla we would just add them ontop of each other so they'll accumulate value to the point we have +12
So sometimes it ends up on the person who first placed down the +2 or +4
