Man, Cosmoteers is actually pretty good fun. I think it would be a bit too shallow to really enjoy in singleplayer, but the co-op REALLY makes up for it, and the challenge is a nice extra.

I love games like that which allow you to become OP if you earn it. Like in Stalker if you take out a guy with a crazy nice weapon you can loot it, there's no level requirements.
Yeah, I don’t like games where you can get to the point of shooting someone 20 times and they don’t die, despite wearing no armor whatsoever

Takes a long time though, you especially need a refining ship which will cost half a million on average. After getting it though you can start building battleships quickly.
@@gamerplays5131 Nah full scavenging works fine too. I worked my starting ship all the way to becoming a massive battleship without using any other ships, or mining/refining at all. Takes a bit longer though, but shields save you a lot of scrap and the later ships give you a bunch of resources if you take out the cockpit.
@@pagatryx5451 More advanced resources like tristeel, hypercoils, diamonds and processors are almost non existent at stations. You definitely need a refinery if you want a large battleship since it will mostly use large advanced modules for it.
@@gamerplays5131 Yep tri-steel was a problem but multiple mid-sized modules work fine until you have the resources to upgrade.
I just emphasized knocking out the cockpit to dismantle the modules with the required resources and got there eventually. Usually you can take out the cockpit without destroying the whole thing without too much trouble, and I put emphasis into movement + ship width so I could get the right angle to drill to the cockpit from.
You can also get lucky with cargo transports carrying certain resources en-masse.
Not saying refining isn't a good method to go down. It's definitely far more effective/efficient. But you can do a pure scavenge build if you're dedicated enough. I just liked the idea of building up a single battleship slowly and didn't want it to do anything but war.

Oh this was great! Enjoyed seeing this in co-op. Usually see it in single player.
Tips: 1. You can put like 6 ion beams aimed at one ion beam crystal, the little red things, select said crystal and point it at another, repeat until the beams coming our the front fo your ship. 2. Railguns are very fun and very strong. 3. A 2 nuke volley can 1 hit a station. 4. EMP missiles are VERY strong.

so thia video ended up making me buy the game and I don't regret it, really fun game.
in my own game when I came across the exact same station as a pirate base I had a ship with a rail gun and all I had to do was take out the platform then rotate to one of the ends without shields, and from there it was as simple as drilling to the reactor.
Highly recommended mods to make you feel like a beasts
the mod that basically doubles the damage and range of a nuke, it is SO satisfying to take out some ships with just a sing nuke.
the better railguns mod. basically changes how railgun extensions work or something so you can massively increase you damage and show the galaxy why newton is a bitch in space.

I was playing this game in 2013, it was called StarWright back then. Only cannons, and sandbox mode at that time.
This looks so much when you guys are playing. Friends and teamwork makes for badass groups and fun times a plenty.
It also really adds to see all these different idea’s and strategies.
I tend to really go with a “if it works it works attitude” in these games which can get a bit samey. So seeing this mish-mash of ships working together is really fun to watch.
Oh man, just saw Lathrix playing this on his channel again recently, and I 100 percent forgot this baby had multiplayer. Fun to see it getting out finally.

Imma take this opportunity to thank Warpugss again for the game. The mod that I promised is in very slow development, as I forgot how much stuff actually needs to be done to make ramming happen.

Nooo, just ramming itself in a balanced way is something very difficult to create, which is precisely the reason why the dev didn't do it himself. What i'm doing is basically hacking together diffrent mechanics in a creative, unintended way

This game is pretty fun. Yesterday i defeated a pirate nuke station by using an asteroid as a shield. Died five times trying to fight it the regular way (nukes are scary).

Can't believe I am so early, there were only two likes on the video.
If you ever get a VR headset, or already have one, I strongly recommend Onward and Into the Radius. They both have the milsim vibe where a single bullet can kill you, and Onward has both PvP and coop.
Pro gamer tip for station destruction missions that require you to kill a neutral station, you can if you have a vessel with high power thrust push stations into the stars and don't get wanted for it.

I remember playing the older version of this game back in late 2019 with the warhammer mod and god damn was it fun. Nice to see the game grow to being on steam.

Welp I've been inspired to make a massive ship called Aegis for my friends to use as a litteral bullet sponge to hide behind / mining vessel.
When i Playd This I got Very Rich i So I tryd Building My Owne Battle Ship 6 of the Bigest canons and on ech side ther was 3-6 Nukes In the Center Betwen The Nukes was My Core/Reactore the biest one you cud get. And if even a singel nuke launcer got blowne up it wud Blowe Up Not Only The Nukes Next To it the ones stored in Reseve But the Genratore as wel. Bascly Blowing up Th e Eniter Middle of the ship leving only production in tact and maybe 1 or 2 guns and bascly everyone dead lol i fixd this buy plasing the wekst sheld i posbly cud in fron of the nukes bye a sentemetert lol. i just masscerd the spelling but dFrick it i am so sleepy its 3 in the moring i havent sleep for 2 days lolololololol

i remember the bare bones version in the beginning, its so different and amazing to see a game grow like this
Been playing this myself, kinda ended up making a near station sized dreadnought of a space ship to simply...well body anything I see. The deck guns or whatever they call the massive turreted cannons you can get are busted if hard to keep stocked on ammo but boy do they hit like a truck. 4 of those puppies with lasers as smaller weapons fire...just melts anything that gets near. it's hilarious, the only real limit is crew size after a point.
This was very good. Hope to see more of it!

I actually downloaded this game after watching this video, it's is a great game I have to say, but I was never a good ship builder because I just built a spaceship version of Ever Given .
Really want to see more of this game heh maybe you could get the entire cadian xxth to play and have just a massive fleet! ( i know the game probably cant support that many players and would lag like hell but its a fun thought leave me alone)

I would recccomend just letting a trade station get destroyed, cause if you then loot it, you can get enough to make your ship bigger and then make another two smaller ships

When I play cosmoteer i make two ships a support ship and a combat ship and my support ship can manufacture everything and can mine the biggest asteroids in second it uses the entire build area it is very good
