Interesting fact..... there are many videos of people beating Ozma on TH-cam. Watch those videos and you'll see that in many of them..Ozma did not use meteor.... Do you know why???? BECAUSE THAT USUALLY MEANS GAME OVER!! THEY AREN'T GOING TO SHOW YOU THAT!! THE FIGHT AGAINST OZMA IS LUCK-BASED GODDAMNIT!! 80% of the battle is determined how often he spams meteor...and although you can decrease the odds of him using it, you CAN'T stop it. It doesn't matter how prepared you are for this boss...when he wants to kill you, he will kill you. No other boss can do this.
I argued with some idiot forever because he kept claiming that Ozna was easy because all you had to do was spam Ark with auto regen. He kept saying that you'd be fully healed and it wouldn't matter since arks animation is so long when I retorted" what if he insta-fucks you with meteor"
Henri Berger If you don't prepare for his other attacks you gotta deal with Death, Level 5 Death, Level 4 Holy, Curse, Doomsday, Berserk, Mini, Blind, Confuse, Flare, and Holy. Which is way worse than the Meteor spell lol.
Henri Berger This guy has knowledge way back that far, no one ever mentions ozma It's been shunned out of the hardest bossest of final fantasy history and placed in most "broken" bosses. It is completely luck based as he stated.
Obviously the Chocobo trainer in FFXHD is by far the hardest boss in any FF games. Even though I took far longer time and much more preparations for other FF bosses, I strongly feel the urge to smash the trainer face's and my own chocobo against the wall.
Let's have an understanding........... I will work on speaking more clearly from now own and I may have to get a new Mic. I know that it's hard to understand me sometimes, but the only times people post comments about the way I talk are in my POPULAR videos. You can hate on the video and dislike it all you want, I don't give a fuck. However,I will not tolerate people insulting me on my talking. I don't mind advice or a little constructive critizism, but posting insulting comments is something I'm not going to put up with. And I DEFINITY will not tolerate racial comments. Yes, I'm black...and if you have a problem with my skin color, you need to unsubscribe to me right now. Saying things like " Black people can't talk" only proves your stupidity and ignorance.
Well said DK, I can understand you just fine and English isn't even my native language. I don't care how anyone speaks as long as they create good content, and your vids are awesome.
Sometimes I struggle to understand you but that's because you speak quiet every so often, other than that I can understand you perfectly well (I'm one to talk about speaking quietly >.< I sound like a mumbling farmer most of the time)
It's all about adjustment, make sure before recording your levels are at comfortable levels for you and the listener :P. But great video! I dig the enthusiasm.
Wassup DK, don't worry about haters man. There are haters all over the world living their sad hateful lives. I'm in Australia and I think you have a cool accent, you play my favourite games and I've got no problem understanding you. Keep it real man. Gotta ignore hateful losers, don't sweat it
Actually, it's the lost eidolon that the summoners could not control, thus they sealed it away and the world forgot about it, causing its physical form to disperse, leaving a gigantic, chaotic, spherical mass of magical energy.
i remember my first time fighting ozma, i went into the battle, *Ozma*: (HAX MODE ACTIVATE) *casts doomsday* Me: the fuck just happened... i didnt even do a damn thing...
i did get payback on him though. i was the first person in my family to defeat him. and whats sad? the final blow was from Zidane. it was a psyical attack that did 1234 damage XD
Darkkefka On the plus side at least we got all features of FFX back when it was released for the PS2 instead of having to wait until the recent HD re-release. :D
Andy Semple I'm in Italy and death still works... Only Longgui is immune to it. The problem is that the hit chance is absurdely low (I used the weapon that empower saboteur skills cause enhance the chance to apply the status)
+Andy Semple im in the UK and played both the PS3 and 360 versions, death DOES work, its just such a low proc chance dude, i think i read somewhere that the more status ailments on enemies increases deaths success rate, but dont know for sure.
A little late, but you can use the Quick Stagger method. Like this: 1) Kill the babies ASAP. Try to do it before the Screech-Pollen combo as it will screw you over if there's enough babies alive. 2) Once the babies are dead, do whatever is necessary to trigger the Instant Chain effect which fills up his stagger bar. Neochu has a Stagger Resist of 95 and a Stagger Point of 888%, so this is the best method. Saboteurs are the best thing to use here. 3) The moment you stagger him, blitz him until he dies. He only has 2,625,000 HP so it's an easy 1-stagger kill, BUT he spawns more babies at 50%, 25%, and 10% HP, so whatever you do, DO NOT LET UP UNTIL HE DIES! This is very important because if he stays alive long enough, he'll swarm the field with babies, and they will kill you. 4) Finish off the babies by any means necessary. Use an Eidolon if you prefer, as they do huge AoE damage in one shot.
I understand why FF XIII gets so much hate, but I still really enjoyed it. It may have been a pretty linear game but I think the battle system really kept the player engaged and made up for it (partially at least). IX and VII are my personal favorites but still, I don't think XIII was so bad.
u sir have my vote, i loved all the old FFs as did everybody else but i too enjoy the new releases and dont understand the hate. i further explain my views in my one video upload, please give it a look see on my channel. titled final fantasy forever.
I agree, everyone claims "FFXIII is a linear piece of garbage" I personally did not mind the linear feel to it due to it having a great story to it imho. It has its flaws such at the linearness and the characters could get a bit annoying at sometimes. Other than that it was a great game :D
For those who complain about 13's linear basis i advice them to play 13-2 and realise how valuable a storyline that makes any sense is! Yes i see why everyone hated some of the characters and the linear nature of ff13. and i really disliked the unannounced partyswaps. but it had a lot of good stuff! The story was really really good! Barthandelous (the recurring villain) was awesome in every way. the music overall was good (quite some medioce songs too though) really overall i'd say i would rate it 7.8 or so
Honestly, the game is good for his story, but bad for is linearity and gameplay. The universe is deep, but the linearity don't let us talk with NPC, or know anything about Pulse... And for the gameplay, I felt bad that it was basically FFX2 but less good. Same system of changing aptitudes, ATB, move on battle... But not many personalization and not many skills.
See, this also shows that the final fantasy bosses have the right idea. Use their strongest attacks over and over until the puny humans fall over dead. Forever.
+dialingdust because if they were THAT hard, only very few people would ever beat the games :P bosses who are important to the story (so also final bosses) are always hard, but beatable so you don't get stuck for no reason
They don't have to be as hard as darksouls bosses. I just think it's a bit funny that most final bosses are just as easy if not easier than the boss or bosses at the beginning of the game. Instead of the difficulty of the boss or bosses at the end.
The thing about the judges, though, is that if you are forced into the start of the fight with low HP from the previous battles you are already in an inescapable hole. Trust me, the last 10 battles leading up to the final round in the trial mode are all nightmares in their own right. If your first move against the Judges is to recover your HP instead of anything else, you’re straight fucked because the moment you recover you will not have time to make your next move cause without the proper buffs you should have casted at the start, they will vaporize your active party in a flash even at full health. Ozma might be luck based but I first beat him on my third ever try, and I’ll beat him 50 times more before ever beating the Judge Magisters.
I'll be honest, I cheesed the fight with Ozma. The guy was kicking my ass everytime I fought him. Hell, I won by just focusing on defense and having Quina spam Magic Hammer until the guy ran out of MP. Ozma only uses spells to fight. He can't use physical attacks. However, he was still freakin' hard even while I was cheating. I was praying to God that he wouldn't kill me while I drained his MP. It felt like I was hiding in a bunker while the guy was constantly dropping bombs on me while I kept hoping that the next attack would be the last. I can't tell you how much I rejoiced when the game said that Ozma couldn't use magic anymore. At that point, he just stood there and did nothing. :3
Its been like 10 years but thats the same thing i did. I can still remember. (Specially because it was so hard to get to that plateau at all) Be the bird... and pick in some dirt...
I beat Ozma... once~ But I hated fighting it. I can't make it any more simpler than that. My teeth, I ground in utter frustration from it wiping the floor with me.
I read a lot of guides to Ozma. Eiko is a must for the Pheonix summon chance upon total death. I have Zidane with so many items stolen it does 9999 every time. Quina for her frog drop (again, caught so many frogs that it does 9999) instead of his/her metra magic. I forgot who my fourth person was. It might have been Freya with her jump (It keeps her from damage when she is in the air) or Amarant (Monk has mad revive abilities XD). Or even Vivi with the Reflect x2 and reflect on himself. I cannot remember, but the Eiko, Quina, and Zidane were definitely there. Either way, along with reflect on Ozma to give me the Curaga instead of himself and a tent thrown at it so it misses often (Tents can cause blindness and poison in battle), it makes it easier to beat.
I played all Final Fantasy games from FF7-FF13. When it comes to sheer difficulty, the Valedictorian is Penance in FFX Intentional Version, and the Salutatorian is Omega Mark XII in FF12. Trema in FFX2 is in third place. Ozma is hard, but I can defeat him in less than 5 minutes using Frog Drop, DRagon Crest, Thievery. All party members must have auto-haste, auto-regen and absorption to Dark element. Not that hard at all. Nemesis in FFX is super tough, but it is more long than tough. Yiazmat in FF12 is like nemesis, more on long than tough. Zodiarc is not that tough if you absorb Dark and have Opal Rings. Trema is really hard (FFX2), he can annihilate your party at LV 99 even with Mascot Dressphere, without the Catnip, he is almost impossible to beat. Omega Mark XII can evaporate your party in just a few seconds. But it only has 1 milliion HP so one can beat it in no time with the correct strategy (mainly self-reverse trick). I defeated all bosses in the series, except for one, and that is Penance in FFX. Even with maxed out stats, celestial weapons and all the guides in Wiki/TH-cam, I still cannot defeat it (except with Zanmato). You may be doing good in the last 10 minutes and may think you are winning, but one wrong move and the tide of battle could go very sour against you. You are at max stats this moment, Penance can annihilate you in the next 20 seconds. After a series of Game Over, I exclaimed "Sir, your the true Boss."
The only one of these bosses I've had personal experience with is Proto-Babil. You can survive just on Bless and Phoenix augments for the most part for phase 1, but when phase 2 starts, all hell breaks loose! Even with Slow, it can still get one attack off for every one of your turns, and if it starts spamming Divine Judgment, not even your Phoenix augments can save you! You pretty much need a full set of Adamant Armor, all the augments from all three playthroughs, and enough Silver Apples to bring everyone's HP to 9999 in order to even have a chance! Otherwise, any of its attacks can one-shot a party member, and a couple can even one-shot everybody at once! The random counterattacks don't help either, and if you have two triple-Focused Limit Break attacks queued up to finish him off once and for all, he can just counterattack the first one with Laser Barrage wiping out everybody and then immediately follow it up with Divine Judgment and finish the job. And you pretty much need at least one Limit Break augment so you can counteract its healing for 28,000 HP a pop! That...thing has become the bane of my existence!
Been having a hard time with Zodiark in FFXII for the last two days. That Darkja is just...wow. A party-wide attack that has a chance to auto-death. Even with Faith and Shell up, it's very common for two people to die to one. If you have darkness-absorption gear on, it'll use Darkja twice as often. When it gets low on health, it becomes immune to physical attacks and puts reflect on itself. Basic attacks hit like a truck and can't be out-ranged. Constantly keeps Bravery and Faith on itself to increase its damage and increase Darkja's auto-death chance. Ended up having to start the fight with one person to be a sacrifice to Zodiark's initial Darkja (always its first action). Switch to another single character to dispel its initial protect, haste, shell, faith, and bravery. Then switch in to my main team of three which was pre-buffed with haste, bravery, protect, bubble, reverse, and berserk. Had to leave it up to chance and pray that I could kill it before its buff phase ended and it used another Darkja. This is with my team being at level 99 with Tournesol, Ultima Blade, Zodiac Spear, and Ribbons.
Yeah.. and i used to think leveling up my characters would help a lot beating Ozma back in the day. That meteor + curse combo brings back painful memories.
Darkkefka yo DK, maybe some tips; - top 10 battles that involve skill (penance, dissidia ff (012) chaos - top 10 longest battles - top 10 best looking moves (magic, limit breaks...) - top 10 best/ most rewarding side quests - top 10 most intense moments (in a fight, or for example time attacks...) i dont know if these are stupid but they are just ideas, hopefully you can get something out of it, keep it up man
All of the high level + nemesis monsters from Bravely Default plus the adventurer need to be on here. They're borderline impossible even at level 99, best equipment and easy difficulty
I'd actually like to amend my comment by stating that I suck at games. Adventurer isn't as bad as I thought but the level 99 Nemesis are still impossible
Unless I have something wrong I would put Minerva (Crisis Core somewhere there). And for me, Chac was easy....but then again I was using Mascot with high stats and decent equipment. I had a much harder time with the Snail....
I actually consider Penance to be a lot more difficult than other bosses on this list. Most bosses don't require a certain strategy or setup to win. Yiazmat, while hard, can be beat in a very flexible way. Penance, on the other hand, requires a ton of leveling to get this far, then you need a very specific strategy, then you need high-end equipment, and THEN you can beat him. Beating him without taking down his arms for example is extremely difficult.
Another thing that makes Ruby Weapon a bit of a pushover is that he can actually be paralyzed. I discovered this when I tested Hades on him to see what he could be afflicted by. Once I figured that out, I just spammed those paralyzing needle items and Quadra Magic Knights of the Round. Anyways, here's my personal experiences with these bosses you listed: #10: Yeah, I remember my brother took days to kill Long Gui, and then when I told him to prove he actually beat it, he was like "Hell No!" He did it again a few days later to show me. #9: You know, I have NEVER seen what Penance actually looks like, so thanks ^^ may motivate me to continue training to unlock this thing. #8: I never played this one myself, but my brother really hated this fight. He never used Vanille unless he had to, so he never had Death to call upon. #7: I always thought that Omega in the original FF5 was actually completely invincibile, so it's nice to know he can be beaten in the Advance version. #6: Oh good god this pain in the ass. My major problem is that no matter how much I tried to smash him about, he'd always regenerate every single point of damage I did to him =/ #5: Never even heard of this guy, and now I hope I never face him. #4: Oh joy, yet another monster who continues to torture me with his continued existence. I had the original FF12, so what made this guy even worse is that he'd use Renew on himself whenever you ran off. It wouldn't fully heal him (I think it restored something like 1 bar), but due to how little I was able to do to him before needing to run, you can tell where this is going already. #3: Wow, didn't realise the Arbiter of Time was actually Valfodr, nice to see that. And yeah, I know I screwed up some of my monsters, so I need to be able to get to the level 1 form to regain their crystals so I can try again. Unfortunately, I can't even beat Snow, so yeah... #2: Very vague memories of this one (haven't really gotten that far in-game, but watched my brother). First #1: Like you said, most of us (me included) have never played the International version. Second #1: Yup, total agreement here. Seriously, what the hell were they thinking!? Yet ANOTHER boss who continues to taunt me with it's continued existence, and one hurdle I will never surmount =/
+Kalina Hitana I never fought #7 in its original form since I've never played FF5, but I have fought him in FF4: The After Years, and he is the only boss I've never been able to beat in that game. I can beat Ultima Weapon, Shinryu, and The Creator, but Omega still destroys me. I've fought #5 myself as well, and he's shaping up to be my personal #1 (since I never played FF9 and thus have not experienced Ozma for myself). So many times he counterattacks my Limit Break with Laser Barrage and then immediately follows it up with a spam of Divine Judgment! The second phase of the fight in general is just plain brutal!
Need help beating Snow? Have 3 of your paradigms contain a different Sentinel. My Sentinel setup (roughly) was: - Delta Attack (using Serah as SEN) - Combat Clinic (using my trusty Goblin Chieftain - trust me, he's the best SEN in the game) - Mystic Tower (using Noel as SEN) - Your favorite 3 paradigms When Snow does "200% Energy," he will target 1 of your 3 characters at random for attacks to build up his tension. Find out who it is, then IMMEDIATELY switch to a paradigm whose Sentinel differs from Snow's target. (EXAMPLE: If Snow targets Noel for tension-building attacks and you have the above setup, switch to either Delta Attack or Combat Clinic for a short time.) Stay there until that Sentinel provokes him; when this happens he goes "Time to chill." That means it's OK to attack him again. Rinse and repeat, while building up the stagger gauge and attacking, and you'll beat him eventually. He has 10 million HP, so don't expect a short fight.
cameraREDeye huh, thanks for the info. So his 200% energy thing charges up on a Sentinel in your party? If so, that may have been where I've been going wrong all this time
+Kalina Hitana Not quite; the "200% Energy" attack itself is an AoE that does mild damage, but then he targets 1 character and attacks him/her repeatedly to build up his tension. If his tension reaches the max of 500%, he wipes the party out with Sovereign Fist. To prevent that from happening, you have to take note of which character Snow is attacking, then switch paradigms so that a different character is the Sentinel and use him/her to force Snow to switch targets, which resets his tension (you'll see "Time to chill." when you do it correctly).
cameraREDeye Oh, I see. I haven't played this in ages ^^' Not sure if I'm going to return to it any time soon, but if I do, I'll pull up what you've told me again =)
For Ozma, 1. Nullify holy and shadow, 2. Complete friendly monster sidequest. 3. Return magic on amarant and auto reflect on phycial attackers. 4. Blind. 5. Curse ozma to deal elemental damage. These preparation will make it lose turns using useless skills with higher probability... throw in a character who can be hit by lvl4 holy also helps. Don't think it's that hard.
I'm surprised #1 wasn't Trema, from Final Fantasy X-2. I mean, for me, Ozma wasn't that much of an issue. I get what you're saying, but personally I didn't struggle too much with him.
+Cluke115 / NinjaGames technically The 5 Judges are impossible too unless you played Jp/International for Ff12 so if they're in it I think Trema is just as qualified to be in it.
I think there is a world of difference between Trema and the judges. Chac, Elder Drakes, Giant Tonberry's, and other things are way harder in my opinion, simply for the fact that they come more than once, and in the case of Tonberry's and Elder Drakes, nearly every level.
Elder Drakes arent even that bad, Evade & Counter with Berserker Dressphere is your friend. They cant even hit you if you have that (unless they oversoul, in which case, all you have to worry about is their flame breath attack, which shouldnt do enough to kill you). Evade & Counter works wonders with Chac as well. Oversoul Chac, and you dont have to worry about Heavens Cataract, after that all you have to worry about are the glare attacks.
It's still harder to beat them than it should be. Considering everyone used Cap Nip gunner mode after they found out it was one of the only ways to pass the Bevelle Underground.
Love your voice dude, no sarcasm at all. It's nice to hear a unique voice that sounds like it has heart behind it instead of the same old raspy voice with no enthusiasm. Made the video much more watchable
Yeaaaaahh....Final Fantasy 8 was my least favorite. It was waaay too easy. You level up way to fast and easily, stacking Alexander, Shiva, and something else on Squal makes him OP as hell. On Zell I think I had Ifrit and Minotaur brothers and he literally could cast Ifrit every second minus the summon animation. By the time I got little over half way through the game I was taking hardly any damage in fights and was level 75. I got Squal's limit break to start dealing 9999 by mid game. Geez, Final Fantasy 9 was such a vast upgrade.
Blitzball isnt that bad, i got good my first time playing it, i beat luca 2-0 and after that i didnt play till the airship, signed brother and found wedge, then i just needed a good goalie and I haven't lost since. Keep in mind I've been playing the game for years
Blitzball was so easy. I got so overpowered that I would just do a sphere shot from across the screen and literally score all the time lol. The first games are rough but after you get the right characters, vilucha, shaami, and a good goalie, you're set.
I'm happy to finally see a super boss list giving Ozma the respect it deserves. I've beaten FF9 about 5 times. Ozma once. Even after setting the perfect strategy for him it still took an ungodly amount of tries for him to do the exact attacks I wanted him to in order to win. On the plus side the round where I finally won was only about 5 minutes long.
Adam Daniels I'd beat that thing twice it was all a matter of dumb ass luck that's for sure lol. Phoenix pinion and Eiko are your best friends that's for sure
I forgot to say that just because you have stoneproof on in games ffx and ffx-2, it doesn't mean that you are immune to petrification. If you were immune to it, the help text would say "provides immunity to petrification." In other words if you're immune to it, it would always work, even against someone like chac.
Very reasonable list . Personally I would put Yiazmat at #1 . I really really really hate the phrase " Not hard , just time consuming" . When did time become such a disposable unimportant thing ? Any boss batle that has the potential to take you 8 hours to finish is a nightmare in my book .
+Fahad Alazraqi I felt the same way about the Tonberry King in FF8. You have to fight at least 20 Tonberrys to even get his attention (and they suck with instakill strikes anyway no matter how slow they are) but then it can take HOURS to kill him depending on his random hitpoints. AND he can team wipe you in one move.
I totally agree. Yiazmat is bull crap. The fact that death strike takes up the action que so you can't cast spells before it hits you is bad already, but he kills you so quickly and has a chance for instant death with his regular attack, which chains like 12 times!
Just wait until the new version of FF12 comes out on PS4 (and maybe Steam; if that happens, I'm getting it for sure). Your attacks will actually be able to break the 9999 damage barrier then. Who knows? Yiazmat may not be so hard OR time-consuming anymore... ;)
Time consuming can also refer to it being tedious. I mean if you've ever worked fast food making burgers isn't hard. But making 100 will take a while that doesn't mean you'll need incredible training or skill to do it.
I'm on my 20th play through of Final Fantasy 9 and the reason Ozma to some is so hard because theres no timer on him so he can just take turn after turn. I've never really had a hard time with him because of my equipment set up, ability set up, and my party set up consisting of Zidane, Freya, Steiner and Amarant and just have them use their strongest abilities such as Dragons Crest, Shock, Thievery as well as no mercy or throwing wing edges and just go all out on him. I do use other party members but the one I listed is my favorite. Luck also came into play because the last time I beat him, he never got a chance to do any of his ridiculous attacks.
I found it simply became a matter of having one person with berserk doing damage and the other two spamming healing stuff and items. When I beat him I wasn't using seitengrat or Zodiac spear.
Yeah...maybe all your boss choices are hard because you chose to play the worst games in the series. X-2 were trash and 13 was just an unholy abortion of a game. Here's hoping 15 takes the shit ass enix influence out of square games
Descuff I understand it's all a matter of preference..... but..... what? X-2 should've just been called "Squeenix Angels", and FFXIII, is bad for more reasons than I care to create a wall of text about
Krimson Hawk I remember enjoying FFX2 back then and I'll probably be enjoying it another time in the HD remix. I tried 15-20 hrs or so in FFXIII but no matter how hard I tried it's too much like: Final Line 13... ah well. Story looked decent but gameplay wasn't worth it
Where is Lady Yunalesca from FFX. She is has 3 forms. Her first 2 forms zombie fie your party while her last and 3rd form can heal your zombies which actually kills them because they are already dead. This battle is impossible without spending hours upon hours beefing up your party before the fight. Or you NEED Wakka's attack reels. Without his overdrive she is tough. She is tougher than sin itself.
It's great, and 13-2 is a bit better. The only problem with 13 is that it's more linear than previous games, but the gameplay and characters kick ass. Luck-based, annoying minigames from previous games have been cut, so it may feel there's less optional stuff to do (actually, that's true). However, if you want to get all the trophies, you have enough work for weeks/months :D And the story is awesome, especially if you start playing 13-2 after finishing 13.
the pauses in speech made this video WAY longer than it needed to be, so next time you should try and speeding it up so you don't spend half an hour on something that could be shown in a third of the time.
Jarrod W Did you even play the game? After a few seconds Gilgamesh discards the guns, saying that it doesn't feel like real fighting and then draws his swords.
Sorry, but as far as ozma goes, you simply just suck at playing. You were hideously under-leveled by the looks of it, and you had failed to complete the friendly monster side-quests that are designed to help against it. Once you do, it moves close enough to be vulnerable to physical strikes, and loses its ability to absorb shadow damage. This means that its own special attack no longer heals it, but damages it. Frankly, I'd have almost put ultimecia from FF8 on the list somewhere. While in and of itself she is not that difficult to beat, she DOES have 5 separate stages that you must beat in order to fully defeat her, and she has the ability to destroy entire stacks of magic that you have junctioned. For me, she was always destroying my stacks of "Ultima" and "Full-Life" and "Meteor" spells on my characters. When those are junctioned to your magic, strength and HP, you tend to die very quickly. She is literally capable of sapping your strength away in an instant, and only luck prevents it. Still, almost any other boss would be more difficult than ozma so long as you are actually properly prepared for a fight of that caliber.
Jarrod W Where you not listening? I know about the friendly side quest. There's always a chance that Ozma will use meteor. The battle is luck. Do you truly think Ultimecia is harder than Ozma?
Darkkefka Honestly DK, YES, Utimecia is MUCH harder than Ozma. Not only do you have to adapt your strategies to her changing forms, but she is able to entirely destroy stacks of magic, drastically lowering or even removing stats all at once. A character that was once doing 9999 damage per hit may now only do 1200-1500 if they are lucky. Or, their speed may drop, their magic may lower, and they may even lose their resistance to elements or status-effects. Worst of all, she may decide to target your magic that is junctioned to your HP, reducing the maximum health of that character to less than 3000. At that point, any character affected becomes dead weight, and serves only as cannon fodder. While she is by no means the hardest boss in any final fantasy game, she certainly is MUCH harder to defeat than ozma. Being a high enough level to actually fight against Ozma helps immensely, as does the friendly side quest. All that is left is boosting your magic defense a bit, and rolling with the punches as they come. It all just comes down to preparation; something that does not necessarily help with Ultimecia.
Jarrod W Ultimecia is a fucking joke. Are you kidding me? FF8 was a joke in terms of difficulty anyways, even omega weapon was ez. But Ozma was entirely luck based, EVEN IF you survived meteor his ATB fills up immediately once you attack (AND HE GOES BEFORE YOU DO) and he'll more than likely counter with curse, and you're dead. It's 100% luck based.
Jarrod W Rly? Ultimecia and almost ALL in FF8 is a joke. You can build your entire roster to make deadly characters that need less junctioning. Doing this Ultimecia is nothing but a sad... sad Joke. It's been like 14 years since i played FFIX and i recall Ozma being a hard boss and a most frustrating one. I haven't played any FF since IX, and now i'm getting back in FFXIV:ARR, and God.. I really HATE Titan Extreme xD Nice List DK, i'll have to play FFX, XII, XIII and the like just to prove my guts against them.
The feeling discovering a Super Boss in FF without knowing it exists is the best feeling ever. I didnt have Internet until I allready played through FF4 - FF10, it was real good fun to spend Evenings with your friends to just figure out how on earth to beat that thing.
Oh no, the boss is so unfair, it spams a powerful attack! For every boss: spam "insert op attack here" to win. Nice judgement there. You are no better than the bosses you are showing us.
How to kill Ozma?: Eiko with: Support pasive +99 Phoenix wings : >49% chance relive the whole group (Doing this you can kill Ozma without Kind monsters event) Eiko, Steiner, Garnet and Yitan and GG. Eiko healing or sanctus, Steiner with shock, Garnet healing and bahamut, and Yitan trance. regards
Xellos Florencio Lombardo Bodas And then he does Meteor that wipe you entirely and bad luck Phenix doesn't appear and if you had Auto-Life then Curse kill you before you get a turn and you completly fucked........ this Fight is so fucking random.
ozma requires an optimal party. Well, I shouldn't say requires, but it makes things much easier if you have a member at lvl 96 (who is immune to holy. Immune, not absorb) and someone at lvl 95. This will entice her to use death and holy instead of meteor
Personal note: I would add Omega Mark XII to the Honorable Mentions category. Why? Because, although he's really, really fast, he hits like a truck, and he can absorb elemental spells, there's a little status in the game called Reverse which basically makes him heal you with every attack. Not only that, but he doesn't have any party-wiping special moves to speak of, so as long as you can spam Phoenix Downs or Arise, you can revive over and over while attacking him, and eventually he'll run out of HP. Of course, if you're a total noob at FFXII, you probably aren't gonna know about this, which means you're probably gonna sit there and wait for him to kick your ass and send you all the way back to the Save Crystal before trying again. Now you do need to be careful, because you will get hit without Reverse sometimes, so you need to make sure you have Bubble on at all times so your characters don't get oneshotted. Not only that, but his attack has a chance to inflict Berserk, which CAN fuck you over if you don't have a well-balanced party with a good backup healer.
For Chac, Rikku is your woman. Her Mascot dressphere is your best bet her move "Pupu platter" will eject an opponent and chac is vulnerable to eject that's the quickest way to get rid of it also it's a matter of luck!
My technique for beating Chaq was using 2 dark knights and 1 berserker. I had the two dark knights use Choron, and survived using bederker's evade and counter ability, while spamming healing items when I took damage from Heaven's Cataract. For me, it made me completely immune to physical attacks. The only times I died is when I got unlucky, and he turned my beserker to stone before I could lose the other party members. Another way to do it is just to have a party of 3 berserkers the first time you fight it, and a party of 2 berserkers and 1 gunner on the floors it appears in later in the dungeon.
Long gui isn't really a boss, is it? Also, like you said, Penance is more of a drag than actually difficult. That is, of course if you're prepared. And you probably shouldn't fight it at all if you're not prepared.
The main reason why Brachioraidos is far from the spot of "hardest" is because you have the opportunity to do Kain's trial and get Abel's Lance before you reach it. Abel's Lance randomly casts Tornado, which works even on bosses, including Brachioraidos.
Final Fantasy Brave Exvius came out for mobile since this video came out and the end game content makes the bosses in this video seem like Imps/Goblins from the early part of FFIV
IN response to brett83501 with Magi Master from Final Fantasy 6, all you need is reflect. Chances are when he hits you with level 3 magic it'll bounce back and hit him regardless of the wall change. To survive Ultima when you kill him, just have a high leveled character go up the tower. That's how I survived the tower was using reflect all the way up and down and having my heal potions maxed out.
No, no, no. Chac is NOT hard. 1. Make sure she's going to be in overdrive. She won't do Heaven's Cataract. 2. Use 3 maxed out thiefs. She'll barely get a hit in because of their speed and chaining. Usually she'll get in maybe 2 attacks, providing your thief dress spheres are maxed and your level is fairly high. No Catnip. No Lady Luck. No Bribing. Easy. I've got The End dress sphere and I've beaten every boss, mission and sidequest in X-2 3 times. I've never once used Catnip. People will work out it's totally possible now Catnip has been nerfed.
I think Long Gui should rather get an honourable mention because you can just spam summons to kill him the easy way, assuming your team can produce decent DPS. But, that may requires etheresols and elixers unless you're team is capable of taking out his legs without a summon and only uses summons to destroy his legs again to confirm the kill but you can still cheese him with summons. I managed to kill him with max 4/6 Crystellium roles and tier 2 weapons, wasn't easy but it wasn't too hard, cause summoning really does help.
Ozma was definitely a challenge. Even with all my characters' levels maxed out and the best equipment in the game, it still took a good few tries to beat him. But one boss I would've liked to see make the list was Evrae from FFX. That thing made me rage-quit so many times.
Just a suggestion.... Fighting Chac you should have the following.... 1) Mascot dresssphere 2) 99 sorts 3) 2 people with auto-haste items 4) use Pain to do the damage 5) equip Paine with INVINCIBLE 6) Yuna constant casting moogle curaga -- cures petrification and heals at least 4000+ hps 7) Riku throwing sorts on other 2 characters 8) use break hit point garmet grid 9) Paine ( in Mascot dresssphere ) uses ability that normally costs 99 Mana each time THIS setup will win the battle
See the thing with Gilgamesh is that you can guess when he's going to use Divider because he moves to be in front of the stairs. As soon as he starts walking you should switch and pop a potion
You mention the fact that you can't block mini against Ozma, which I bet was an intentional feature like Chac's petrification and smash combo, just to add more nightmare fuel to a fiendish battle that already will make you sweat bricks and cry tears of blood from obsessing over losing time and time again. I also think the same thing could be said for Necron and the Grand Cross ability not being able to be blocked by Ribbon.
when i was a kid, i spend days trying to kill ozma, because i didnt know about the trick that makes dark damage hurt him. I finally beat him, but i have never played a game with a harder boss, not just final fantasy
To be honest, I didn't find Neochu very hard. I didn't have maxed out stats, I didn't have fully upgraded equipment, and I didn't use Death or even Vanille for that matter. I used Hope (Leader), Lightning and Fang. Power everyone up with 3 Syns, and occasionally switch to 3 Sens and 3 Meds when necessary. Once staggered, spam Last Resort and hit everything. Don't bother with the little guys until you beat Neochu.
In my LP of the game he spammed meteor at the beginning of the fight at least 3 TIMES... But how? It's all luck about meteor anyways
I argued with some idiot forever because he kept claiming that Ozna was easy because all you had to do was spam Ark with auto regen. He kept saying that you'd be fully healed and it wouldn't matter since arks animation is so long when I retorted" what if he insta-fucks you with meteor"
Have you tried fighting Ozma without being immune to his other spells/status effects?
That way he will probably use meteor a lot less.
Henri Berger
This guy has knowledge way back that far, no one ever mentions ozma It's been shunned out of the hardest bossest of final fantasy history and placed in most "broken" bosses.
😂😂😂
Gilgamesh breaking the fourth wall, ah the laughs
I could understand you perfectly. FF1 and FF2 are really easy compared to the others. Don't know about ff 3 though.
Gotta ignore hateful losers, don't sweat it
Ozma is either Chuck Norris's yoga ball or his testicle that he didn't lose sparring wolverine
Actually, it's the lost eidolon that the summoners could not control, thus they sealed it away and the world forgot about it, causing its physical form to disperse, leaving a gigantic, chaotic, spherical mass of magical energy.
dude it was a joke. I already knew this
***** Bitch please I'm a special kind of potato
***** thats mean :o
I'm proud of the fact that it took me less than ten tries and highest character was Zidane at 69. Doomsday Return Magick FTW
I agree the rainbow ball of love is #1 hardest boss
12:16 he actually praised you for buying his DLC? LOL
+LIONREV7 Breaking the 4th wall!
John dimaggio fits him so well
i love that.
ozmas: SCOUT METEOR!!
everyones down
then party gets back up like: ok we're cool, we can do this lets go.
Ozma: sit the fuck down.
lol
i remember watching this literally a decade ago, u were formative for me, good content :)
You are my final fantasy inspiration and I can understand you just fine!
i remember my first time fighting ozma, i went into the battle,
*Ozma*: (HAX MODE ACTIVATE) *casts doomsday*
Me: the fuck just happened... i didnt even do a damn thing...
LOL LMAO this the funniest comment I have seen all day. But trust me I know how you feel.
i did get payback on him though. i was the first person in my family to defeat him. and whats sad? the final blow was from Zidane. it was a psyical attack that did 1234 damage XD
I've had Valfodr miss with Gagnrath. I had to pause the game I was laughing so hard
I'm in the UK so Death doesn't work on Ochu in XIII. Thanks for THAT fix Square. You sadists.
Andy Semple it doesn't work for you? That sucks. Ochu is hard....
Like this:
1) Kill the babies ASAP.
Other than that it was a great game :D
indeed it was, moving forward with FF
For those who complain about 13's linear basis i advice them to play 13-2 and realise how valuable a storyline that makes any sense is!
Yes i see why everyone hated some of the characters and the linear nature of ff13. and i really disliked the unannounced partyswaps. but it had a lot of good stuff! The story was really really good! Barthandelous (the recurring villain) was awesome in every way. the music overall was good (quite some medioce songs too though)
really overall i'd say i would rate it 7.8 or so
Honestly, the game is good for his story, but bad for is linearity and gameplay.
Forever.
Fighting Ozma is like fighting a country by yourself XD
More like a planet lol
kind of interesting that the final boss is rarely if ever the hardest boss in games.
+dialingdust Well, it is in Shadow hearts from the new world imo
They tried making the final boss the hardest in FF3, 5 long af boss battles without saving good luck
*cough cough* Breath of Fire 2 *cough cough*
I like your video. The way you talk is like you are talking to a friend. Makes it easy to watch
Ozma is still harder than the judges, there is a nice dedicated strat for them, and it becomes doable. Ozma on the other hand is 100 percent luck
I still haven't topped the 100th trial. I cant seem to stat stack the right people or hit the Zeromus Strat just quite right.
This is how I killed the bastard as well. I can agree that Ozma was an annoying little fuck.
Its been like 10 years but thats the same thing i did. I can still remember. (Specially because it was so hard to get to that plateau at all) Be the bird... and pick in some dirt...
I beat Ozma... once~
But I hated fighting it.
What a badass boss that Arbiter of time , evil voice ftw :D
"I didn't even get a fucking turn!"
Ozma be like that sometimes.
😂😂😂
I forgot about Ozmos until I heard that music in the number one spot. Fuuuuuuuuuuck
Only way to beat him is to drain all his MP with quina's magic hammer. I think he has 999 if i remember right. that or 9999.
19:06
Best boss intro in modern FF games. Prove me wrong.
"I didn't even get a fucking turn. Do I really need to show you anything else?"
No. Ozma looks like a nightmare.
Idk. Omega on 8 is pretty easy too. It just takes a bit to pick thru all that health.
@Dragonspheres
I know I'm 11 months late but yes he is the easiest. Magic hammer turns him into a total bitch.
A year late I know, but for Penance? Reels man.. Reels OP..
Really like your top tens mate, love the final fantasy series
This was really well done! Clear commentary and effective ideas and tips, Good man, Good man.
They let me predict the weather: bullet showers and rocket storms!" lmao That's definitely something Gilgamesh would say.
It bothers me how your LPs pale in comparasin to these top 10's in views. Your LPs are just as good
(Pauses video during #9)
Shuyin 2. I see what you did there.
19:08 The most badass intro and dialouge a ff boss ever had. I've been watchin this video for years jus for this part.
Yeah.. and i used to think leveling up my characters would help a lot beating Ozma back in the day. That meteor + curse combo brings back painful memories.
I really love these videos. Can't wait for a new top 10
TrendRewindz i still haven't decided on what that one will be.
Darkkefka yo DK, maybe some tips;
- top 10 battles that involve skill (penance, dissidia ff (012) chaos
- top 10 longest battles
- top 10 best looking moves (magic, limit breaks...)
- top 10 best/ most rewarding side quests
- top 10 most intense moments (in a fight, or for example time attacks...)
i dont know if these are stupid but they are just ideas, hopefully you can get something out of it, keep it up man
Darkkefka another tip top ten most useless characters
zombix Good Game i would like to see a countdown like this. For me kimahri from ff10 is my most useless.
I miss final fantasy X, it was an all time fav of mine
Unless I have something wrong I would put Minerva (Crisis Core somewhere there).
And for me, Chac was easy....but then again I was using Mascot with high stats and decent equipment. I had a much harder time with the Snail....
Silver Neon Minerva was on the original list, but I took her off because of Costly Punch.....
Anyways, here's my personal experiences with these bosses you listed:
#10: Yeah, I remember my brother took days to kill Long Gui, and then when I told him to prove he actually beat it, he was like "Hell No!" He did it again a few days later to show me.
My major problem is that no matter how much I tried to smash him about, he'd always regenerate every single point of damage I did to him =/
#5: Never even heard of this guy, and now I hope I never face him.
My Sentinel setup (roughly) was:
- Delta Attack (using Serah as SEN)
- Combat Clinic (using my trusty Goblin Chieftain - trust me, he's the best SEN in the game)
- Mystic Tower (using Noel as SEN)
- Your favorite 3 paradigms
When Snow does "200% Energy," he will target 1 of your 3 characters at random for attacks to build up his tension.
He has 10 million HP, so don't expect a short fight.
cameraREDeye
huh, thanks for the info.
To prevent that from happening, you have to take note of which character Snow is attacking, then switch paradigms so that a different character is the Sentinel and use him/her to force Snow to switch targets, which resets his tension (you'll see "Time to chill." when you do it correctly).
cameraREDeye
Oh, I see. I haven't played this in ages ^^' Not sure if I'm going to return to it any time soon, but if I do, I'll pull up what you've told me again =)
Btw, anyone ever try those fights on ff tactics on the psp where you can co op with a friend?
Holy crap those were ridiculous.
Jacob Davies I wish I could. I don't have anyone to play those with
Just realized that I haven't even tried Ozma on my FF IX (PC) playthrough... So let's go get fucked up.
For Ozma,
1. Nullify holy and shadow,
My man said Super Saiyain!!!😂😂🤣😂
I'm surprised #1 wasn't Trema, from Final Fantasy X-2. I mean, for me, Ozma wasn't that much of an issue. I get what you're saying, but personally I didn't struggle too much with him.
He made a list on bosses actually accessible. Trema is damn near impossible to get to.
Am I the only one who thinks that overdrive sin was a pain in the butt? Lol

FF9 is fuckin trash. Juvenile trash. FF8 and 7 are the two best games in the series.
Fuck you, Music1222,you little bitch. FF9 is the BEST in the series. FF7 aged poorly, and FF8 is too flawed.
@@Music1222 really ff9 is trash ok...
@@TheGaara802 yea it's absolute garbage
@@elijahhodges1575 Wrooong! ff7 is in a different league to that shit stain of a juvenile game
Kefka = Hisoka
"those of you who suck at blitz ball" so... everybody?
Do people really have THIS much trouble with BB??
from what i hear, yes
Blitzball isnt that bad, i got good my first time playing it, i beat luca 2-0 and after that i didnt play till the airship, signed brother and found wedge, then i just needed a good goalie and I haven't lost since. Keep in mind I've been playing the game for years
Blitzball was so easy. I got so overpowered that I would just do a sphere shot from across the screen and literally score all the time lol. The first games are rough but after you get the right characters, vilucha, shaami, and a good goalie, you're set.
Step 1: Get Tidus close to the goal.
Step 2: Use Jecht Shot.
Step 3: ???
Step 4: Profit!
Why would you play and COMPLETE that utter TRASH game 5x?! :o
Music1222 IX is great!
I forgot to say that just because you have stoneproof on in games ffx and ffx-2, it doesn't mean that you are immune to petrification. If you were immune to it, the help text would say "provides immunity to petrification." In other words if you're immune to it, it would always work, even against someone like chac.
Bahamut Prime , FFXIV should be here.
Unfortunately not everyone plays 14, but i understand where you are coming from
This was released in 2012.
FFXIV is MMO, do we really need to consider it?
***** Nope, Darkkefka's opinions alone. He always says at the beginning of each top 10 "This is MY list, you may not agree with it"
Very reasonable list .
Who knows? Yiazmat may not be so hard OR time-consuming anymore... ;)
cameraREDeye But the death strike taking up the que and him killing so quickly is still gonna be an issue
Time consuming can also refer to it being tedious. I mean if you've ever worked fast food making burgers isn't hard. But making 100 will take a while that doesn't mean you'll need incredible training or skill to do it.
i love how you like ff13 and ff13-2
Yiazmat. *drops mic and walks away*
I found it simply became a matter of having one person with berserk doing damage and the other two spamming healing stuff and items. When I beat him I wasn't using seitengrat or Zodiac spear.
Long gui aint a boss so doesnt belong here
It's a superboss...
Yeah...maybe all your boss choices are hard because you chose to play the worst games in the series. X-2 were trash and 13 was just an unholy abortion of a game. Here's hoping 15 takes the shit ass enix influence out of square games
no, I've played almost all of them, it just so happens that chac is hard to beat.
Lol no X-2 and 13 are good game. 15 will have the enix influence >.>
Descuff
I understand it's all a matter of preference..... but..... what? X-2 should've just been called "Squeenix Angels", and FFXIII, is bad for more reasons than I care to create a wall of text about
Descuff
Nothing about 13 is a good game except the graphics.
I actually beat Ozma on my second try, I just kept using Quina's Magic Hammer on it until it could no longer use Meteor. I was stunned when I beat it.
the book of ff9 is superhard
+Axel Luciano it's hard if you fight it early.
No matter what level you have as it is always strong, it depends on the skills and ingenuity that have to beat him.
la cagada es que era solo un niño y no pensaba muy bien mis estrategias xD
***** jaja
Its not when he's out use just magic he won't go away after being hit spam vivi easy
Who bought ff9 because of ozma
Kj Falls me:)
Editman 龍が如く hahahah same
Im about to
Kj Falls Nah I bought it because I love FF. I told my friends to get it because of Ozma.
Had no clue he was in the game until people in my gaming circle told me.
i beat ozma at first try Guess i was lucky got the dark matter :)
It's great, and 13-2 is a bit better. The only problem with 13 is that it's more linear than previous games, but the gameplay and characters kick ass. Luck-based, annoying minigames from previous games have been cut, so it may feel there's less optional stuff to do (actually, that's true).
However, if you want to get all the trophies, you have enough work for weeks/months :D
And the story is awesome, especially if you start playing 13-2 after finishing 13.
4:38 i almost choked on my drink when you went through the foot
the pauses in speech made this video WAY longer than it needed to be, so next time you should try and speeding it up so you don't spend half an hour on something that could be shown in a third of the time.
I must say... final fantasy 13 could even ruin Gilgamesh... GUNS!? wtf
Agreed. Dear old Gilg should only EVER use swords. It is just unnatural to give him firearms.
Jarrod W Did you even play the game? After a few seconds Gilgamesh discards the guns, saying that it doesn't feel like real fighting and then draws his swords.
AllyOJustice
Yes, I did play the game. However, I never downloaded any pay-to-play DLC for it, and since the Colosseum is mostly DLC....
And still, that Gilg uses guns at the beginning is already enough to ruin him.
Gilgamesh uses every weapon... So why not stfu.
Darkkefka To beat Ozma, you just need to equip with Darkness stuff.
Jarrod W
Ultimecia is a fucking joke.
I really HATE Titan Extreme xD
Nice List DK, i'll have to play FFX, XII, XIII and the like just to prove my guts against them.
The feeling discovering a Super Boss in FF without knowing it exists is the best feeling ever. I didnt have Internet until I allready played through FF4 - FF10, it was real good fun to spend Evenings with your friends to just figure out how on earth to beat that thing.
I heard the FF9 music and knew it was Ozma instantly. That tie-dye poke ball gave me good memories.
Oh no, the boss is so unfair, it spams a powerful attack!
For every boss: spam "insert op attack here" to win.
Nice judgement there. You are no better than the bosses you are showing us.
Ichi Ban Ozma is just like a Player then in that logic
It's not working on Ozma, this guy not stupid at all
Wanna try spam Shock, Thievery, Frog Drop and Dragon Crest?
It's not going to work honestly
How to kill Ozma?:
Eiko with: Support pasive +99 Phoenix wings :
>49% chance relive the whole group
(Doing this you can kill Ozma without Kind monsters event)
Eiko, Steiner, Garnet and Yitan and GG.
+cJinL Check the FF Wiki. It officially lists Long Gui as one of two FF13 superbosses due to its 16.2M HP and overpowered attacks.
1) Mascot dresssphere
2) 99 sorts
3) 2 people with auto-haste items
4) use Pain to do the damage
5) equip Paine with INVINCIBLE
6) Yuna constant casting moogle curaga -- cures petrification and heals at least 4000+ hps
7) Riku throwing sorts on other 2 characters
8) use break hit point garmet grid
9) Paine ( in Mascot dresssphere ) uses ability that normally costs 99 Mana each time
THIS setup will win the battle
Btw, Yizamat in FFXII doesn't do the death hit unless you walk outside of the grass circle. Stay in the circle and you're fine!
What's the track that plays at 8:39? It's been stuck in my head for so long now...
Oops, I mean 8:41 - 9:13 .-.
I also think the same thing could be said for Necron and the Grand Cross ability not being able to be blocked by Ribbon.
keep up the good work. I'm enjoying the vids and have learned enough to start playing final fantasy again.
*camera spins around Vanille and points at Long Gui*
Vanille: CIAO!
("Ciao" in Italian is also used to greet someone. Not just when you go away.)
when i was a kid, i spend days trying to kill ozma, because i didnt know about the trick that makes dark damage hurt him. I finally beat him, but i have never played a game with a harder boss, not just final fantasy
Recently finished FFV
Looks Ill be coming back to your channel all my life. I came to see where Omega and Shinyru are on this list.
Why did u add chac but not trema?
How is penance behind neocho? One takes over a hundred hours of grinding the other is spamming death on your first play through
I've never really understood people's problems with ozma. Took me about 3 tries to beat him, and after that i've been able to beat him consistently
