It was great racing here. Have to admit I came into it expecting a bloodbath! But it was really good. Even the first race was as clean as a whistle, until the race-ending incident. Which just happens sometimes. And I was just as bad, trying to get out the way 🤣
Wow! What a race! Too bad on missing the podium, but 5th is still really good all things considered. You do better under pressure than I do. I have a bad habit of making mistakes when I'm pressurized from behind and bleeding away positions.
Yeah I was well happy with 5th. And I’m exactly the same with being pressured into mistakes. It’s a long-standing weakness of mine to spend too much time worrying about what’s happening in my rear view mirror. I am SLOWLY getting better at not doing it, but it’s taking time!
Jeez yeah, that corner has become my nemesis! It was a right nightmare trying to get through it safely each lap 🤣 But definitely feeling a bit more attacking in these races now!
Yeah it was decent! I can’t grumble too much about the rejoiner in race one, as I did exactly the same thing about 20 seconds later 🤦🏻♂️ my only defence was that my intentions were good… I was trying to get OUT the way, rather than rejoin 🤣
The Clio Cup and Mazda Cup can be carnage at times but they are incredibly fun. LFM did very well here. When I have time I enjoy jumping from one tho the other. I wish the other series had high participation too
Yep, I’m hopping between the Clio and Mazda now - purely because of the participation. I absolutely loved the VRC tourers when that series started, but it seems to have dried up pretty quickly. Such a shame. Haven’t tried the Cupra TCR series yet though, might have to give it a whirl at some point.
Question is this the view you use when you race? Or is this just a replay view you use? I found yesterday if I move my "head" forward to the point that I can't see the in-game wheel (to make it look like my real wheel is where the game wheel is) then I can "see" the track over the bonnet better. It gives me a better sense of where my wheels are and how fast I'm entering corners. Kinda blew my mind how much faster I am.
It’s a live gameplay recording in the video, so that’s my view when playing. It’s purely a personal preference thing, but I find being able to see my in-game steering wheel on screen really helps me understand what the car is doing. If I zoom in past or over the wheel, I really struggle. But there is a lot to be said for having a higher seat position to get better visibility of apexes.
@@fil_lokkaAhh mate I know. I’d stalled the engine too, so I couldn’t move quickly. I tried to let it roll back as far as it would go, to clear a space, but it was a nightmare 🤣
Haha yeah! 🤣 I actually ran a custom CR livery in that first race, but they don’t work on replays… so I got the blank white Clio instead! So stuck to the in-game liveries for race two
It’s all done with the in-game HUD apps mate. RealTime bottom left, Tyres bottom right, Race Position above the mirror and Performance Delta next to the mirror. For the RealPenalty alerts, I just moved them to the side of the screen using the RealPenalty Settings app. I also use a 3rd party radar called Helicorsa (from Race Department) but I see RealPenalty now has an identical Helicorsa radar you can switch on 👍
Hi Frank, no I don’t have anything like that at the moment. A few people have asked about it, but so many channels have got Discords, I wasn’t sure if there was room for yet another one! I won’t rule one out in the future though, stay tuned :)

I think it's something to consider seriously if you want to build a channel and and a racing community ! If you don't, then you just become another racing vid streamer!... Your channel will become half cocked, so to speak... Your ability to make your vids exiting is great... I like the way you commentate while racing! Who cares if there loads of other sim racing discord channels, you will stand alone just like all the others, you will have you own micro community! I hope you take my criticism in the spirit it's meant, and I hope your channel grows! Frank...

Yeah I ran the CR livery in my first race, but noticed it didn’t appear in the replay. Was a bit disappointing!

Yeah, my first thoughts when I loaded up the track were… urgh! Not the best-looking version at all! Thankfully the racing made up for it 😃
