It’s live gameplay recording, and you’re absolutely right, I was shifting up a bit too early. I was using my ears instead of my eyes! I was aware I was doing it, but just couldn’t stop myself 🤣

My pleasure Joe. Just a shame we didn’t end up in the same split. Our pace was very similar, we’d have probably had a good battle!

Yeah I’d love to try that car sometime. I always go for the Porsche if I do the GT4s, so makes sense that it would be my next GT3 choice. Cheers, yeah I’ve had a bit more free time this week to race more 😃

Thank you. Usually in ACC, I hop in and just use qualifying laps as my practice to refamiliarise myself with the track. But these M2 cars were very difficult to adapt to. I had to run a pretty long practice session before this race!

Cheers, yeah I had to work my socks off in this one. Think I was lucky defending against the guy who’d picked up damage. Reckon he’d have had the pace to get back past me, if he was running at 100%. Cheers, yeah hopefully see you on track sometime!

I definitely recommend them. It takes a lot of readjusting after driving the GT3s though. Usually I just hop into ACC races and use my qualifying session as a practice / refresher, but no way could I do that in this M2. I needed a very long practice stint before the race, to get up to speed. It paid off. Who knew practice could make you better? 🤷🏻‍♂️🤣

Haha I didn’t even notice that! Usually headlight flashers always distract me. Lucky I didn’t see it, as I’d either have a) got frustrated, b) got angry, c) crashed or most likely d) all of the above 🤣

Thank you! Yeah I keep meaning to do another Mazda race in AC, but the past few weeks have all been on tracks I don’t know. I don’t really get the free time to learn new tracks at the moment. Valencia next week is a possibility… I don’t know it that well, but I have driven it a couple of times. Stay tuned!

Cheers! Yeah a few people have recommended the M2 races to me, and I really enjoyed it. Was a bit of a culture shock, trying to drive it after so much GT3 racing! But I’ll definitely be back for more. Tempted to give GT4 a try next week too. Thanks 😃

Thank you mate! Yeah I did end up doing a fairly bit of practice for this one. When I first hopped into the car, I soon realised how difficult it was to master! It’s not often I get chance to do long practice runs, but it definitely came in useful here! Thank you 😃

Cheers, yeah I was feeling pretty confident in this one, so it made it easier to attack a bit more (and make myself more difficult to overtake). One of my better results, this one, in a car I’m not used to. Cheers man 😃

Yeah it’s well worth a try! The M2 series on LFM has a bit of a cult following… it doesn’t get huge numbers, but the evening races are generally pretty solid for numbers. The car is a totally different experience to the GT3s. Slippy, slidy, and they take an age to get stopped into the corners!

The tyre temperature is part of the rF2 HUD. You just have to set a button for Display Mode in Controls, then that button will cycle through all the different boxes in the MFD 👍

Yep, you’re exactly right. It’s so bizarre how trying to drive just a touch slower makes it that much easier to crash! Hopefully I won’t make the same mistake again for a while!

Hey, I don’t really have any setups to share I’m afraid. I usually just choose the default Aggressive setup, and then adjust TC to make it feel safe. Sometimes I find a free setup on the Fri3d0lf TH-cam channel… he shares lots of setups that are pretty decent 👍

I was running even higher for a lot of it! Couldn’t get any sort of smooth rhythm with TC3 or any lower. But the qualifying session was my only pre-race laps, so I had no practice time to get used to the slippery track.

Cheers, yeah, I really need to get better with TC adjustments during the lap, depending on the corner. My problem is, I keep forgetting to switch it back 🤣

Haha yeah. Generally, the grip was non-existent! I can’t remember the last time I went up as high as TC5, and even that didn’t save me at the end 🤣
