I spent 10+ hours, configuring AC to my VR setup. Waiting my wheel from Fanatec Black Friday, and this happened - AC with LFM) I hope - it is a really good combination to start newbee online sim-racing))
The problem is though once you set up AC+CM and apps it works like a racing game should. In rFactor I lose FFB randomly at the start of races about 30% of the time. The devs even put a button to map to reset FFB due to this known issue. Not to mention other issues like not being about to save button configs as a profile if you need different button mappings between F1 cars versus GT3 cars. You also cannot do any adjustments to FBB, UI widgets, and other things while you are racing on the track -- you have to exit out of the race to make any adjustments. As well as any FFB adjustment seems to only apply to the livery of one car and not the whole car! I don't know.. tons of issues with rFactor2 that makes me scream.
Haven’t seen this mentioned anywhere but this, imo, is clearly a beta test for AC2 so LFM can be ready on release of AC2. Would not be a bit surprised this was pushed/requested by Kunos to directly compete with iRacing going into the future.
I have iRacing and ACC. I really am not much of a fan of ACC. But MX-5, GR86, Skip and Ford open wheel racing in iRacing makes for some pretty great racing. I just enjoy the variety and don't think I'll be investing any money in ACC DLC's going forward. I'll scoop AC next time it's on sale though to try it out.
Kudos for using the H shifter as God intended on this car! The LeMans mod they chose is a track cutter's dream. Horrendous. The new 2017 version fixes some of that, it's just strange they would go with a (Forza) mod track when so much of the stock content for tracks is excellent. And that LMP3 mod equally as bad. What the hell were they thinking with that. 599XX at Classic Monza! 😅
I know this sounds not related but I think this is even more concerning for raceroom than iracing. THIS is what raceroom were supposed to excel at. they had EVERYTHING. they had the servers, the tracks, the cars. and they just chose to make weekly rotations with paywalled content. I've been saying that raceroom would become obsolete in 2024, when rennsport and AC2 releases. but I was wrong, it seems it already is 😅
I just hope LFM (and players) will use content unique to Assetto Corsa instead of making it another GT3/LMP setup. I'd love to get serious racing in vintage cars.
This is what I have been waiting for years, got me to play again, racing was actually really good we didn't even have the typical first turn crash :). You talked about setups (i'm a complete noob), do I just have to go to your discord ?
Have you tried the LMDH that they are going to use next week? Imo the mods are terrible. The glickenhaus is a hybrid and drives like an lmp1, when in real life it is just a twin turbo V8. Even tho they are free i don't really understand this choice of low quality mods.
SRS just didn't have enough resources. Sounds like it was more of a one man project and the guy just can't offer all the content and fleshed out features of LFM. That's what I gathered from G Muscle's recent video on the subject
I have all the Down loads and everything I needed But could not find the race server I could find the practice LFM servers but when It came to the race I could not Find it no matter what I typed
I understand the concerns with good online racing and clean cars/tracks but for me the whole point of AC apart from the physics is the possibility to drive any car... It's so sad to see the same cars everywhere when we could have GT1's, BTCC, DTM, etc. We can do boring races on every other sim already.
Looks fun. Need to see some faster cars to draw me in, though. Would be fantastic racing the RSS LMDH or VRC LMP1s, not to mention the free single seaters on offer by RSS. So much potential here. I’d kill for competitive multi class AC races.
I feel so flabbergasted after I bought some rf2 content on black Friday worth £40+, then I found absolutely astonishing FFB REAL STEERING setting in AC CSP that makes literally the best FFB in human history and now LFM for AC, so I think £40+ was wasted TBH...
As a AC fanboy I would still recommend getting in and doing rf2 ranked racing, it's just as good as Assetto Corsa and right now has better car combo choices
For some a little hard to locate at first. I had the same issue trying to find it. Had to open up the APP Shelf which is in the list on the right side of screen when on track and then actually install the Radar App. Not sure why this had to be done ....however ....once done it's worked fine since.
Tbh this doesn’t really move me, LFM is great for ACC but that’s because ACC itself is also a modern game with a functioning UI from this century. AC, as much as I like hotlapping Nordschleife and loading up some mods, just isn’t it in (almost) 2024. So much pain with all the mod management, the UI is god awful. The real deal is AC2 next year and their online system, potentially also with LFM, that’s how you attack iRacing, not like this. I also think the great part about LFM in ACC is that it mimics iRacing. You race the same car class for 12 weeks, it feels like a real season. The rotating system of rF2 and AC by LFM isn’t as engaging, it’s more like a nice inbetween distraction, but nothing that glues people to their rigs for months like I was when I first used LFM in 2021
Yeah responding to Gamer’s statement, I fit into the demographic that he is talking about but for the same reasons of time, convenience etc (casual racing), I would never have time to make this work. If I can carve out protected time to race in my family, I want to make sure I can race. I think this is awesome and I want to try it, but it’s not going to cause iRacing to lose much sleep.
ACC may be more modern but it's not a very good sim when it comes to actually driving a car. It's delayed, numb driving inputs are highlighted when you try Assetto Corsa. AC2 won't be ready on release just like every modern sim, it will take years to become usable. AC is a sandbox for LFM, It's about having fun races with car combos other sims can't supply with a little competition sprinkled in. And it's basically all at the cost of the base game and it's here right now. I struggle to see what not to like.
@@JallyTee I disagree about ACCs driving, it was like that years ago, it's not like that anymore. It's such a refined, allround good experience for GT3s, AC1 is just a sandbox. If you're into that, cool, go have fun, I don't really like it
I cannot get AC to look good in VR for some reason. I got AMS2 looking great. But for some reason AC looks super white washed. I need to figure this out because I really want to try LFM but I dont race much outside of VR.
biggest problem with AC on LFM is legality of tracks and cars, on your video is first Le Mans track (wich is literaly beatutifuly made track) but they had to change it and now we have some weird Le Mans look a like track that is extremaly bad. If they will add races on only those bad quality tracks it will die quite fast.
Was waiting that really bad but I was really unhyped after seeing that the UI was still god awful and that mods (GT7 Hud and ACC hud) was a pain to config and was really not great (not working or felt cheap), I mean I respect the modders work but finding the good force feedback was hard for me on my CSL DD, jumping into that LMS modded car felt cheap, the force feedback felt grindy and sandy (while it was great on the MX5), I think LFM shouldnt use "unofficial mods" and tracks as there is too much difference in handling and physics. Might stick to AC for Touge sprints and nordschleife and thats all
Lol I just went back to AC to try lol after I went to Andrettis in Orlando, they have AC with a motion sim using Fanatec equipment. Lol holy shit .. it's easy to get brained washed by iracers. Reminds me of that scene of the second matrix with the Architect and Neo. The Architect explained of the many iterations the Matrix had because the first one was a "perfect" world for our minds, BUT the human mind just wouldn't except it because the human mind knew something wasn't right about a perfect world. Iracing is super forgivable when you give more steering mid corner because one lacked the correct rotation and speed. In AC.. yea you'll know you fucked up real quick 😂
Would be nice if someone got say a early 90s imsa gto/gtp series going. High hp, heavy cars no abs or tc. Theres already an oversaturation of modern prototype/gt racing lets get some series going from all the awesome defunct racing series from the 80s and 90s. Btcc, dtm, jgtc, grand am as it was in the 90s, trans am, cart assetto corsa has great mods for all these. BOP would be an issue but I imagine a classic series would keep out allot of the win at all costs type of jackass that seems to plauge the lower ranks currently. 1st place in the 5th split is still 100th place, people need to keep that in mind when going for the win punting someone ahead in the first corner on the first lap
It would be great to race cars like the Audi 90 GTO etc, but the reality is you will have to go to dedicated leagues that like these series. Ranked systems are great for rounding up players and they will race practically anything as long as they see other drivers sign up in big numbers, but I question if It creates healthy racing, I wish people would be conformable to just race series they like for the fun of it, not just hot lap to earn fake ratings.
Looks like AC on LFM got off to a flying start racing wise. Interesting choice to kickt it off with several mods rather the great original Kunos content. Installing mods obviously adds one more step for a less experienced user, before they can get on track. Maybe they're testing the full process during the beta though, I guess.
I was thinking the same thing, but if you already have content manager (which 90% of ac players have already) then installing mods is as simple as dragging and dropping a zip file in content manager. But i do still agree with you that they should have used the kunos content to start it off
True enough, it's not exactly complicated to get the legendary trilogy of content manager, pure and the mods installed. My comment was more of a question than a statement really, just wondering why they opted to go for mods.@@allthingsminifig9263
They should've picked a more noob-friendly track for the Miata. So many idiots signed up that have no clue about how to drive and racing rules, and a tricky track doesn't help. Some people drive with a keyboard - this is just madness, not so different from public servers
@@d.o.5238 It may have nothing to do with it, but MX5 at Lime Rock Park is a classic rookie iRacing combo of course. Perhaps it was designed to lean in to the '...this is iR for AC' angle.

go into a practice session or a hotlap and when AC is running and you can drive, move your mouse to the right side of the screen. A menu should come up. The top icon should be All Apps or something like that. If you click that, you should get a list of all the apps and overlays you can enable. You should see and Essentials one. If you click that, it'll pop up on the top, left of the screen and you'll be able to drag it to wherever you want it

View bouncing, more excessive in some cars than others. Can't get away with lock to horizon at all. Is there a way to tone down the vertical bounce? Only noticed it the other day in the Megan at Imola, turn 10 to 11 was unbearable. This is in VR btw
I use real head motion and the lock to horizon in that , can adjust it to how one likes , but yah would be nice if there was an iracing / RF2 head filter option

I spent 10+ hours, configuring AC to my VR setup. Waiting my wheel from Fanatec Black Friday, and this happened - AC with LFM) I hope - it is a really good combination to start newbee online sim-racing))
It's a great start, wish I could go back and start with AC lfm.
You got a like just because of the opening rap.
Hey GamerM why dont you post somewhere your ffb settings? It would be very helpful for many moza users
One thing that always amazes me is how people have so many issues about rf2 UI, then are okay with AC+CM+Sol+apps
CM works like a dream, you don’t need to open AC
@@jimbochoo3316 sounds like a skill issue
@@jimbochoo3316 you nailed it ! i got the same issues
@@jesuisFORTIO loosing FFB randomly is a skill issue?
People want easy and this will be like gt7 is on console I believe. This sim is the best for FFB and has excellent physics. Gonna be a great thing.
finally there will be good mods that are not scamdream...URD will have a field day pumping out mods for AC thanks to LFM...
I don't know why, but I felt a compulsion to click a link, like and subscribe, even though I already do.
Rapping Muscle 💪🏽 love it!
damm i need to pull out my racing rig out for this :) looks promising GO GO LFM.
I know this sounds not related but I think this is even more concerning for raceroom than iracing. THIS is what raceroom were supposed to excel at. they had EVERYTHING. they had the servers, the tracks, the cars. and they just chose to make weekly rotations with paywalled content. I've been saying that raceroom would become obsolete in 2024, when rennsport and AC2 releases. but I was wrong, it seems it already is 😅
The tea is flowing my brothers, we have reached the promised land. Who fuckin needs ac2 and rennsport, not me!
Manz got bars!!!! 🔥🔥🔥😂😂😂😂
intro for the ages !
I just hope LFM (and players) will use content unique to Assetto Corsa instead of making it another GT3/LMP setup. I'd love to get serious racing in vintage cars.
lol. If I want to race an MX-5 at Lime Rock, I’m not going to do it on AC.
So you’d rather pay for it and get crap physics too! 😂😂
This is what I have been waiting for years, got me to play again, racing was actually really good we didn't even have the typical first turn crash :). You talked about setups (i'm a complete noob), do I just have to go to your discord ?
That intro bruv sick 😂😂😂
Have you tried the LMDH that they are going to use next week? Imo the mods are terrible. The glickenhaus is a hybrid and drives like an lmp1, when in real life it is just a twin turbo V8. Even tho they are free i don't really understand this choice of low quality mods.
So what was specifically wrong with Sim Racing System? And with Simgrid who i think also did AC? What is different here?
SRS just didn't have enough resources. Sounds like it was more of a one man project and the guy just can't offer all the content and fleshed out features of LFM.
That's what I gathered from G Muscle's recent video on the subject
Thanks for watching - Here is video about pure and shader patch :) - th-cam.com/video/BR53kTdBWR8/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=GamerMuscleVideos
Nah RF2 is great with its ranking as well and its nice to have different sims with different content to move around on :)
As a AC fanboy I would still recommend getting in and doing rf2 ranked racing, it's just as good as Assetto Corsa and right now has better car combo choices
what are you setup in the ffb csp menu plz ?
hopefully LFM splits balance soon so the races are competitive
Now just to add AMS2 to LFM and the online ranked options will be complete.
How did you set up your camera? I kinda like it
@GamerMuscleVideos where is this radar app on content manager ?
I can't find it.
For some a little hard to locate at first. I had the same issue trying to find it. Had to open up the APP Shelf which is in the list on the right side of screen when on track and then actually install the Radar App.
Not sure why this had to be done ....however ....once done it's worked fine since.
Can anyone explain how to install the bcast leaderboard please? My severe muppetry is preventing me achieving my goal.....
I asked you in your stream a couple days ago what hud you used.... hahaha
Track cutting included for free
Is it possible to share your 'App Windows' settings so I can have the same as you using?!
For some reason I don't see the Car Radar setting in Content Manager. Running the latest version. 0.2.1 -preview2
I've been wondering about this one but I'm not on the last version yet
It's in the recent CSP versions inside the App Shelf in-car app
❤Loving it!!!! iracing is over for me!!!! Just canceled my subscription 😊
Do you exclusively race on a stick sequential on MX5?
I know nobody wants to hear this but when they took ranked out of Forza that's when it took a massive downturn. Ranked needs to be there.
If you're into that, cool, go have fun, I don't really like it
GM is in heaven. His prayers and AC preaching have been heard and proven correct ;-)
Every race at evening is full long before start. My god I can't wait till they add some series with RSS cars.
If they will add races on only those bad quality tracks it will die quite fast.
hardly no one uses it
Was waiting that really bad but I was really unhyped after seeing that the UI was still god awful and that mods (GT7 Hud and ACC hud) was a pain to config and was really not great (not working or felt cheap), I mean I respect the modders work but finding the good force feedback was hard for me on my CSL DD, jumping into that LMS modded car felt cheap, the force feedback felt grindy and sandy (while it was great on the MX5), I think LFM shouldnt use "unofficial mods" and tracks as there is too much difference in handling and physics. Might stick to AC for Touge sprints and nordschleife and thats all
LFM changes the game for AC!!!!!!
@@d.o.5238 I've done about 10-12 races so far and its definitely not like a public server, ive seen a few idiots but no where near as many as i expected. Maybe I just go lucky but im impressed with the racing so far. Also, practice servers are provided so people will keep getting better and better, its still early days yet.
I need that song!
Where did you get race essentials from?
I installed race essentials and activated it in settings under python apps but it doesn't show up. Am I missing something?
go into a practice session or a hotlap and when AC is running and you can drive, move your mouse to the right side of the screen. A menu should come up. The top icon should be All Apps or something like that. If you click that, you should get a list of all the apps and overlays you can enable. You should see and Essentials one. If you click that, it'll pop up on the top, left of the screen and you'll be able to drag it to wherever you want it
I would just usee 'Sidekick' instead if i were you, race essentials was abandoned a long time ago and is very buggy, sidekick is made by the same guy but is updated regularly and works much better.
I’m twerking to your intro now thanks for that 😂
View bouncing, more excessive in some cars than others.
@@GamerMuscleVideosCheers James, did try to download that but it seems it's only available from the official ACC forum. My IP was banned 3 years ago by the Commandant for talking back to him regarding ACC. Will have to tunnel in under the back door so I can download it. Just needs a little tweak of the vertical bounce to get it perfect, don't want to stabilise the horizontal.
I wonder how much this will boost sales of AC2 when it comes out next year. Surely this has massively boost Kunos's sales targets.
Also, ac2 is the game I'm hoping to be my main game. I'm sick of driving like 4 different games 😅. Also I'm sick of Windows. And with the Linux improvements thanks to steam deck. Like my god there's a perfect storm brewing.
Why are you complaining about the curbs? They are fine. Worry about that pace
Finally someone says the truth about iracing. Thank you
I'm kinda bothered you turned on your headlights for the MX5 while racing the during the day.
Now let’s have AMS2 on LFM.
AC has way better physics and net code than than AMS2 so it wouldn't make any sense , AMS2 is much better for single player and AI racing or doing casual racing with friends though
Nooooo! Ams2 physics sucks. Its a simcade.
I dont think its "simcade" I just think they still need to get the tires acting tighter and more responsive its like always driving a rally car , dirt racing is really good in it though @@abuelb
Would love to see that as well. It's fun and awesome in VR. And they are improving the game with every patch.
@abuelb yea but is not like ac is that great either I feel is lacking alot of details on ffb but that's probably me
Sadly the hot lap mentality will always be in every sim as long as kids have access to them i thought that's what Forza was for.😂
SEAT SEAT SEAT SEAT
As an avid sim racer, and rocket league enthusiast, I'm curious to your rank in RL? And are you an Octane user too? xD
I only played 2v2 i think i was domond 2 , i need to get back into it !
@@GamerMuscleVideos Awesome! Keep up the great content my guy!
Serious question: If I dont have AC1, is it worth just waiting for AC2 which is supposed to come out soon?
AC2 will probably take 2-3 years to mature from launch hope its good but you can only go by whats good now with games and AC is great.
Nah don't wait. AC1 is so cheap and with the amount of mods, it's by far the best overall sim out there
Absolutely get AC, it costs so little and if you have some time to dig into it has an endless amount of content and features. Also the cars have a very satisfactory behavior when driven on the limit. On a DD wheel (i have a CSL DD) it feels just so good.
@GamerMuscleVideos well since you said in a video you have the intellectual capacity of a rusty fridge magnet, allow me to say my issue is that I'm as broke as a mirror that was left on the floor in the middle of a slayer concert..... sooooo it will take me a while to afford even a $20 game bahahaha
Considering how cheap AC is and how moddable it is there is no reason not to get it. Insane value for money. AC2 will be mess at release for sure. If they decided to build upon ACC people might stay with AC1 anyway.
Will LFM work with AMS2?
you need to wait to downshift before the chicane, you're damaging the engine every time :)
I'd love to get into LFM but its pointless from oceania due to ping, really the only thing iRacing has going for it now is local servers and local numbers for me. AUSSIES GET ON LFM
I'm doing fine in New Zealand, ping is high but still able to battle close, even with a starlink connection
this and every other video about LFM aged like milk!
Its turned out to be SHITE!
lfm Decided to run the dumbest combos known to man... all they had to do was run F4 / MX5 and then maybe F3 on basic tracks , no stupid mods no payed mods ... lol oh well
Does GM like AC? I can't tell
I hated the lemans car they used tho
It's woefully mid, both the car and track model. But hey ho. They will no doubt pick better content.
@@SMGMusic14They should use the Reboot Team track. Don’t see why they couldn’t.
@@SMGMusic14oh good cause I thought I screwed up my settings
@@SMGMusic14 LFM likes the mids...... with such great content they could of used in rF2....always mids there and why I use CS now.
Yes the handling felt cheap, my FFB felt broken and the track sent wrong signals, and lets not talk about the San Andreas like graphics
Meanwhile Dave Cam says AC is way to forgiving and easy to drive, cars have rubbish ffb lol.
Dave Cam is a moron. He clearly doesn't have proper settings for his wheelbase. AC is not forgiving .... it is simply the most realistic. He said at the end of his video that Mazda cup has rubbish ffb 😂 The ffb and physics of the Mazda cup are superb !
