These are all very compelling and interesting, but I have a few that you missed:
    1. Tool, "Sober" - I could have easily picked almost any of this band's videos, but "Sober" was the first one I'd ever seen. It's a dark and foreboding animated exploration of insanity and depression, which still creeps me out today.
    2. The Prodigy, "Smack My Bitch Up" - The title alone reeks of controversy, but it is tame in comparison to the music video. It's a first-person perspective of a psychotic fever dream, complete with alcohol, drugs, vomiting, partying, and physical abuse of both men and women. By the end, you hate looking through these eyes, only to realize you can't look away. The payoff at the end (which I will not spoil) will leave a mark on you, and you may want to take a shower after watching it.
    3. Eminem, "Stan" - This song and video about an obsessed Eminem fan is a modern classic. It is a now too familiar tale of celebrity stalking gone too far. It is haunting, it is disturbing, and Eminem's epiphany at the end is an absolute shocker. This song has become so ubiquitous, the term "stan" is now in the OED, defined as "an overzealous or obsessive fan of a particular celebrity".
    4. Nine Inch Nails, "Closer" - Oh, where to start? Should I go with the out-of-focus jump cuts? The primate vivisections? The dark, disjointed imagery? The sadomasochistic torture? Trent Reznor floating in midair? How about all of the above, and for a topper, that it was directed by David Fincher.

I'm with Adam on Black Hole Sun, but for a different reason. I've always had a fear of the end of the world and the apocalypse. This video made that the focus and terrified me, especially at a young age. To this day I can't watch it without getting emotional. Had to look away from my screen while Adam was talking about it.

Michael Jackson's "Thriller" was my first time ever watching some kind of horror. I was a kid at the time. I spent the next several months afterward having to slumber with my parents. To make matters worse, the song was a huge it. The song was on the radio all the time. Therefore, my family would often drive without the radio on because the song would inevitably play regardless of how many times we jumped between stations.
Of course, I love the video today. I have performed the classic dance routine dozens of times in my life. I even had a Thriller jacket because it was the ultimate status symbol back in the day.

I can think of two that unnerved me not so much nowadays. The first one being Another Brick in the Wall pt.2 by Pink Floyd. I watched this one on the movie when I was a kid and couldn’t sleep for two days. I love it nowadays but what terrified me about it is that all the school kids are wearing these creepy masks and are on this machine and at the end of it is a meat grinder that they each just fall into one by one. The second is Born Free by M.I.A. This video starts out with what looks to be like a S.A.W.T Team going around rounding up gingers and taking them out to the middle of nowhere and releasing them on open desert land that is trapped with land mines.

Don't Come Around Here No More by Tom Petty (especially when they cut Alice up like a cake) and Jeremy by Pearl Jam. The former I have been able to watch since and appreciate as an interesting music video, the latter I saw when I was 6 or 7 when it came out and I have just actively avoided it for almost 30 years.

One more thing, I feel like this film taken as a whole was way ahead of it's time and the fear factor stems from it's grounding in reality.
As a fan of many of the bands mentioned, Manson, Slipknot, mushroom head, ect...
The videos for these groups are highly stylized and produced, not saying it's a bad thing, but obvious.
The Broken movie however, is so dark , gritty, and resembols a found footage documentary feel that became so popular in films years later.
It just feels so genuine, it's terrifying.
So believable In fact that the U.S. government got involved to ban it believing it to be real.
Well, it's not, it's creative expression. But you just can't argue with it.
Hands down the most disturbing thing you will ever see as a music video.

Imagine a more serious version of 'Two Tribes' - this was at the very peak of Soviet instability as Communism started teetering on the edge of collapse, and the threat of the button being pressed was closer than ever. High Octane Nightmare Fuel!
    HOWEVER..
"Marilyn Manson Man That You Fear Video"
based on semi-famous *short story.. (*mission/homework should you choose to accept, is find it)
FYI: It's a slowburn..(if ever a music video was) from same album as BP, Antichrist Superstar. Devoid of queued creepy rapid edits it is IMHO MORE NIGHTMARISH than his previous videos for BP, Tourniquet, Long Hard Road Out of Hell, No Bodies, Disposable Teens, Coma White, etcetc...
The band's later videos were just GORY for shock value...tho' SAY10 is an underrated gem of a song and Johnny Depp playin "Satan" in video may appeal to some.
.. anyway luv your lists and keep em comin as they break the current state of monotony.

No "One", by Metallica? That video, above all other videos, scares the heck out of me because it could be real. Aphex twin, Marilyn mansion, theyre cool but they're not "realistic". Being stuck in in my head with no way to communicate , no way to even explain what's happening to me? That terrifies me. And with Covid, that's the "worst case scenario" before you die, I'm extremely scared rn lol

NIN Broken, aka NIN Broken Movie/bootleg.
Without a doubt the most disturbing music video you will ever see.
It will haunt you forever, you've been warned.

The more I watch these, the more I feel like Scott & I would get along famously.
Every time I watch one I decide what my own entry would be and 9/10 times, Scott says exactly what my entry would be. 🤷🏻‍♂️😂

I was 3 when Michael Jackson's Thriller was released. The video terrified me. My parents loved to call me to the room whenever it came on.

Pretty much all of the Aphex Twin videos are terrifying. But I’d also go with the video for rabbit in your headlights by UNKLE.
