Yes of course, it was quite difficult to capture the noise of both consoles, the mic would only pick up the humming noises. In terms of the test the PS5 Slim was significantly louder. downloading games faster will depend on your internet bandwidth, installing games will be quicker based on the write speeds of the SSD you buy. I hope this makes sense.

Great question. Just tested this and when placed horizontally my PS5 Slim is slightly noisier. The reading when the slim was horizontal using the 'Decibel X app' had the slim at: 50/52dB(A) compared to 49.8dB(A) when the slim was vertical. Hope this helps. Sony has opted to use liquid metal as a thermal bridge between the main processor and heatsink in the PlayStation 5 slim, as it is much more effective at transferring heat than traditional thermal pastes.

Why does a lot of TH-camr install the ssd spacer on top on the ssd? Its supposed to be under the ssd.

downloading games faster will depend on your internet bandwidth, installing games will be quicker based on the write speeds of the SSD you buy. I hope this makes sense.

I noticed your PS5 Slim doesn't have the disk drive but the cover is flush. Where did you buy the cover to put where the hard drive used to be?
They would have the digital version which comes with the flat panel. If you purchase the disc version it does not come with an additional flat panel.

I would say yes it is, due to the larger vents on either side.
