Physical bro, u buy the game u own the game. Kinda(alot of games need to download something if not half the game) if u get digital u basically pay a license to play/use. They can take stuff away. Which is what ive been hearing

You'll never convince me to buy a digital only console.... just like cash....physical media is king. Also, if you look at the stand, the bottom plate is all but solid.. the vent is 90% blocked anyway AND the stand used some of the vent holes as a key to stay in place.. so why waste 30 bucks? Only 2 or 3 holes are even unobstructed.

Thanks for the info! Been wanting a PS5 for years haven’t got one yet and I personally like the disc version of consoles anyway because of the ability to play disc movies. The possibility of them removing digitally bought shows and movies really makes buying the disc version a little easier

@CkidM I don’t know if I am wrong but I bought my ps5 slim digital 2 weeks ago and my ps5 slim is making a significant loud noise when I am playing assasins creed. I don’t know if I am only one who is having this issue. The fan noise is loud compared to OG ps5, otherwise there are no problems.

Yo man I don't know how old you are. But there was a saying when I was growing up in the '90s. Real recognizes real. Have you heard of that? Because immediately I subscribe to you because I know you're not bullshitting anything you're saying. You had your wife come on the video and you two are just brutally honest with everything you're doing there's no fakeness. So thank you for your honesty and helping me decide what I will buy for my first PS5. I know I'm late to the party but I had a health condition that is still going on but I'm getting better. Does the disc version can do digital as well? I mean, if it can do it why not get it for you to have options and experience both worlds (digital and disc)? Unless, you are really looking into the price and the looks then go for the digital only.

Edit.... Those ventilation ports on the bottom of the slim, are they intake or exhaust? I'm sure Sony would have made them intake instead of having hot air blowing out underneath the system, but just curious🤔.

What would happen if Sony was no more and you had to reset the ps5 slim to factory settings and there was no internet to connect to will the disc drive still work that be big problem as you got register it

People are missing the point. If a game is removed from the servers then it's gone for everyone. You might have the disk version of the game, but you won't be able to download any patch bug fixes or other updates. The will also apply to dlc content. Having a physical disk drive however will at least give you some ability to play your movies or TV shows.
Not my problem, I have an Xbox with a disk drive for that. Plus all of my games are digital anyway, so the disk drive would be a waste of money at least for me. The only thing I’m upset about is the PlayStation came out with a slim instead of a pro and with gta 6 around the corner, I’m just gonna wait until a pro comes out so it’s more worth the asking price

What's up ckid. Just realized that the slim version if being stood up. Need the stand the slim has vents on the bottom now as well so need the space from the stand to help the heat escape. Unless it could help it over heat to the people that stand it up without the stand
Good video. I bought a third party stand for my Ps5 slim disc version that’s around $8 dollars. It’s just a regular plain stand that keeps the Ps5 slim stable and allows airflow. It does look nice though.

@@WacKaKO 2 IN 1 Horizontal And Vertical Stand. I saw it on the Aliexpress app on my phone. It’s just a plain stand. No fans or anything but it looks aesthetically nice and has the rubber feet so it doesn’t slide. It’s pretty sturdy. It just takes a long time to ship. Took almost 2 weeks but I like it better than the stand that’s offered by PlayStation. It was just personal preference for me.

The slim digital wobbles when horizontal and with the disc version you get a free game so it makes the disc version better value. If you add all accessories to the digital it comes to $500 lol

Two flat wedges would circumvent the need for a stand should overheating actually be a thing on the slim without buying the £30 stand. 2x rulers would probably do the trick, one at the front and one at the end, heat rises anyway it doesnt go downwards.

i was thinking of buying the Og ps5. before I heard the slim was coming. thanks for that. i believe the systems are identical except for size. other than the extra port is there any other differences.
Other than what you’ve already mentioned the storage is 1TB for the PS5 Slim instead of 825GB for the original PS5
I have a disc og and i bought a digital slum for my den. Since i have an all digital library it felt a smarter pick.

Hmmmm.... interesting intel on having a more solid connection to the portal via disconnecting the HDMI cable, I have my Ethernet cable always connected to a gaming console for smoother / solid upload speeds. I wasn't considering a Portal because of the problems that almost everyone is having. Don't know if I want to risk $350 Aussie Dollars just to find out though.

I agree that a stand is recommended for ventilation issues. BUT if a product could get damaged because a certain accessory isn't included, the company is screwing its customers. Cosmetic or expansion accessories can be optional, but safety accessories MUST be included!!!!

I've always only ever bought the disk drive versions of playstation. I work in IT, so the first thing I thought was well if the data is corrupted, removed or whatever I'll no longer have access to it but if I have a hard copy then I'll always have the data available as long as it's not damaged. All my friends thought I was crazy for buying the more expensive versions. Oh Did I also mention that their data was corrupted and they how to remove it. Yes, you can always go back and re-download stuff, but let's just say you don't have an internet connection.Let's say something else goes on.Having the hard copy is the better choice
