Regularly come back to you videos for tips. Especially love the mix of contrast paints and hilights. Have found it a great way to paint my minis from being introduced to it by you.

It's going to be a struggle but after not long you WILL be able to do it. After that, congratulations, you have brush control.

Thank you for this! I had a dark angel/deathwing army in the 90’s, and my brother bought me Belial! So I got the deathwing knights. I haven’t painted in so long so this was a great guide
Thank you so much. I have my squad of terminators all painted in different “test” schemes. Getting into dark angels after almost 10 years away from warhammer. The green armour is going well but That damn beige armour is tough! I love this method thank you!
I believe The Colour Forge has a ‘Matt White’ spray designed to be a direct colour match to Corax White. I haven’t tried it myself but I’ve used their Averland Sunset colour match spray and it works perfectly.
Vallejo white primer also has the same kind of tacky semi gloss finish that White Scar has, which I've found to honestly be better for layering down my contrast and bone colors than Corax White.
I love this upside down and sideways - the smooth shading on the pleasant eggshell tones is really eye-catching 😎 I wanna stick a decal on that right shoulder 😜
@@JuanHidalgoMiniatures LoL my friend I have tried freehand but it’s so janky it’s laughable 🤓. Maybe during that video you could touch on how to apply decals neatly? I could use some tips!
@JuanHidalgo Miniatures like your style and really enjoy your videos. Taking a minute to not only explain what, but also why you're doing it and how that will impact the model is much appreciated. Helps us a lot I've found a couple of techniques/ procedures from your thousand sons rubrics vid revisted in this, and your Lion el Johnson video. As well as a couple of new methods that could be applied to my rubrics.
Yes, I always try to make things differently, even if it's the same colour or at least I try to make the original recipe that bit better with each interaction. Glad it's appreciated
19:47 This looks absolutely amazing! I’m definitely going to be painting my Deathwing miniatures to look something like this when I’m able to get into the hobby. Checkered patterns would be super cool. You can use them for orcs, Lamenters...I always do them with the feeling that I'm not being really efficient or clean, so I'd love a tutorial.
Thanks, really thank you very much for this video, at the end of this month I will buy the new Dark Angels box and I will have to paint 20 of these crazy ones, just the idea I needed.
Lovely tutorial Juan and o my gosh the new Terminators are beautifully sculpted. Thanks for another video, looking forward to grabbing some of these new models soon...might have to do Deathwing now as well :D

I'd love to see your video on checker patterns and the dark angels icon!! Great video btw!! Been really struggling with my Deathwing, this video is so helpful!!
I always thought you'd be more of a Blood Angels, but then you also do have a lot of love for Moot Green. Either way, that Deathwing is sexy. Box art worthy paintjob. Clever thing too, going for ochre instead of orange for the highlights on the red. Keeps the focus on the armour, which is the main attraction here. Personally I cannot wait until I get my hands on the Leviathan box set. My Dark Angels can always use more terminators to teleport in and I think I might convert the captain into a Belial model. (Or paint him as something totally different, dunno yet.)

Another great video, thanks! BTW, we had a local model/wargames show near us today and I managed to pick up most of the current Vallejo Xpress Colors. there was just 2 or 3 that were already gone buy the time I got there though, because I bought one of every Xpress he had left he said he's knock £5 off, seemed to me it was closer to £10 from what I'd worked out the total to be, so cool.
I haven’t painted in 20 years and I’m looking to get started again. You’ve listed 28 paints, Jesus, we didn’t used to use that many different paints. I was never amazing but I was alright, I feel totally out of my depth now though and will struggle to justify buying nearly 30 pots of paint.

I don't really understand using 3 highlight colors. To me it looks like the second is covering up the first highlight. I started dry brushing highlights on. If it's too much I clean it up with the base color. I personally think it's looks more realistic as the GW painted armor looks like it's from the movie Tron. This model looks really good, don't get me wrong. I'm envious 😊
At the end of the day it's your choice! If you like it, then amazing. I show you how the Eavy Metal does it, at the end of the day it's called 'Eavy Contrast for a reason.

No no. 13th is the best... ‘My lord,’ Sergeant Arkus said, saluting. He was carrying his company’s standard. ‘At ease, Arkus,’ Guilliman told the Ultramarine. Arkus’s armour glinted in the sunlight. ‘You’re trying too hard,’ he added. ‘My lord?’ ‘When I arrived last night, your armour was in perfectly respectable condition, as was the plate of the other battle-brothers in your company. I remember these things. This morning, you’ve buffed your plate to the point of insanity.’ ‘My primarch is here,’ Arkus said, offended. ‘A surprise inspection of this post.
