I had an "Aha" moment listening to this talk, I never thought personal communication needing a plan or strategy yet after this video and hindsight tells me I need to start so thank you, pure genius to use a personal as well as a professional scenario.

As a professional business consultant in the hospitality industry with marketing expertise, I also recognize the importance of strategic communication, as shown in the video. I also believe that if businesses implement efficient communication strategies and define clear goals, they can significantly improve collaboration across management, staff operations, and advertising. In my experience, understanding what you want to convey, knowing your audience, and demonstrating the value can lead to greater engagement with the brand. This definitely will increase loyalty, satisfaction, and success. I'm convinced that when these elements are communicated and shared effectively, the brand, the team, and the business win.

I love this! I use to get so annoyed in meetings when people would say, “does that make sense?” They were using it as a communication style, when to me it showed that perhaps they were not sure about what they were saying.

This would have helped to really see what and how she wrote her responses. Tones, vocabulary etc..help tremendously especially since we’re looking at strategic communication. I can relate that "What you say is just as important as how you say it" by a conversation I had with one office representative. I thought that one office was closed for the day, so I called the other office to relate information to the office I thought was closed. The lady on the line heard what I had to say and a sweet as pie said "We are not an answering service, try calling them". I quickly apologized and told her that I should have called the other office first. I came out of that conversation thinking how she could have chosen to say that the office was open and leave out the "We are not an answering service". Regardless of how aggressive or nice the words may sound, they can still have the same sting.
