This is a great video. I’m really interested in the wiring harness. I just bought the ATOTO F7 XE for my 2013 Hyundai Elantra GT so I could get wireless CarPlay at a better price. The ATOTO wire harness that came with the radio has the pink VSS wire which I had never seen before because I always bought wired CarPlay head units. I’m assuming the wire harness you made for the subura and Toyota has the VSS wire connection resolved in the pin connectors so there is no hunting and testing for VSS wire on the vehicle. That would be awesome if you could make one for my vehicle to connect to F7 XE. I have backup camer and steering wheel controls. Let me know if possible. Thank you.
The Pink wire on the ATOTO adapter is for the Reverse signal (it isn't VSS/vehicle speed). Yes, we did wire this in for the Subaru/Toyota adapter that we sell so it's all basically plug and play. Some cars don't have the reverse signal in the wiring for the headunit...if you don't have an OEM backup camera, you may not have it.
Yes, you can use the backup camera that's already installed in your car but you'll need an additional adapter (It will still be plug and play). Please have a look at the notes in the "Description" section on this page: www.autoharnesshouse.com/AHH-70-1761ATOTO.html Most cars will require no splicing but some Subaru's do require splicing (Or you can email us and we can prep it for you when you order)
Can you make a video to install micro bypass on the Honda harness? I purchased it after the fact and can't find the wiring diagram for the ground and emergency brake wire leads.
Happy to help with that. Is this for a Pioneer headunit or a different model? (ATOTO headunits don't require a bypass...You can just connect the E-brake wire to ground)
I have Subaru 2015 Impreza. Radio works fine from steering column but screen doesn’t work. New is $800.00 part guy at Subaru said. Could I replace with salvage yard radio? Do you sell or know where I can replace without paying $ $ too much
Yes, you can replace it with a radio from a salvage yard (or find one on Ebay). This would probably be the cheapest option. Look for a part number in the bottom left corner (just under the screen). It will be your best bet to get the same part number just to make sure that steering wheel buttons and your backup camera are connected the same. If you need help with compatibility, feel free to email us!
Yes, that adapter that we sell here will fit the 86 models: www.autoharnesshouse.com/AHH-70-1761ATOTO.html That adapter will keep the steering wheel controls!
I believe the mounting bracket can be transferred but there will be a gap between the OEM dash facia and the headunit. This is corrected with the dash kit.
Yes, it will fit the 2016 BRZ but you'll need an additional adapter to work with the backup camera. I recommend buying the ATOTO direct adapter and the 28-pin adapter to retain all features: www.autoharnesshouse.com/67122.html
What's the dash filler? What you used to fill the gaps for the headunit
We used a Scosche dash kit for this. You can find the kit that we recommend for your specific model here: www.autoharnesshouse.com/mycar.html
