I watched your review twice just because the Phoibos is so compelling.
If they didn’t take chances with their designs the indices would be rectangular, the bezel would be for a diver, and the hands would be plain. In others words, it would look like any other microbrand. Thankfully Phoibos does take its chances and comes up with brilliant designs.

Unique and, as you said, quirky. Phoibos is building a niche for itself, being more affordable than Zelos.

Just bought one, and am very impressed. Negatives, donb like vertical brushing on the sides, and it is deeper than I would like. Positives, fantastic lume, great bezel, beautiful dial, and the bracelet and clasp are top notch.
I just bought this and I absolutely love it!! Got a red used for£160. The 12 hour bezel is super useful for me..Also the hands and indecies set it apart from the average sub homage, as does that amazing red fume dial. I have a watch dives milsub for my no date Thanks for another well thought out review.
I contemplated this one very strongly, specifically in the red/maroon option you showed. Thanks for such a fair review.
There was some “wow” factor, despite it being so compelling, that I missed (plus the thickness…) I like what they did, with many great changes compared to V2 imo
Coincidence! I’ve been wearing this all weekend and it’s great. I agree with almost everything you say. I have the v2 in brown which has a great steel relief bezel , but it’s a bit too blingy and polished. This is more brushed and tooly, and looks great, especially with the sunburst fumee burgundy dial. I agree the hour hand could be bigger, but I don’t find the watch too thick. The crown is smaller than on the v2, and possibly slightly small, but otherwise it’s really good to wear. Also, having signed up to their notifications, I was sent an email with 15% off, and they ship from Dunstable. So that’s £210 with free postage and no import tax. I reckon that’s incredible value. It’s not my first Phoibos, and it won’t be my last. Thanks for reviewing.

I Loved the V2 for giving me some Yachtmaster vibes with the old bezel. But this one seems like a well rounded, very refined watch! I like both but am happy with the new version
I don't have a Phobios but this version is something I may need to get. Such a great looking watch! I know this and RZE are ones I'm wanting to get.

Just wish the date wheel was more legible (red on black? really), or removed altogether.

A beautiful dial color and overall versatile watch. I've had a thing for red and redish dials for awhile now. Another excellent review! I always your reviews all the way through, unless I'm interrupted by family or work.

Best Phoibos in my opinion is the Nebula. Owned the last version of the voyager, and it was excellent, although a tad too heavy.

Very nice piece indeed. Agree with the date wheel not being legible enough. Especially with my failing, reading glasses eyes. Gotta be white for me.

Nice bezel but the previous versions' dials were nicer. I am keeping my V2!
Hey Dan, there is this AliExpress watch i'd love to see reviewed in the channel, it is a square/rectangular watch and I don't think there are many of those out there. It's the Starking bm0778 (no name, just a code), Ronda quartz movement. Should be around 36 quid. Anyway, maybe it's video material, thanks a lot for the great content!
Glad to see the have made some subtle tweaks and improvements. I currently own the v2 and its awesome, but I do prefer the bezel on this one. Though the v2s dial is so much nicer, they really should have kept that and tweaked everything else. Nice work with the video mate

They (Phoibos watches in general) are a little too quirky looking for my taste.
Admittedly I was tempted to order a Phoibos Apollo a while ago. That one actually looked 'designed' cohesively rather than just a bunch of different things thrown at a watch. It was a step in the right direction. They're just a little short of becoming the next Zelos success story.
The reason why it's good is because it's not bad 🤪. Brilliant colour 👍

I know it doesn't say its from the far East cnc machines on the dial but it's gotta be another 4r36 movt come on! I'd pay more of it had something a bit more European in it I know there are cnc machines in 🇪🇺 oh well another sub a like with a seiko movt.

I almost ran out of breath, seems like you're doing a speed run. I know you're tweaking your videos but I'm one of those odd people who actually watch the video to the end and I actually prefer your "normal" format.
Try watching Fun with watches, maby to get some inspiration. Just my thoughts...

This looks good but so so did the last two Phoibos I bought which both had QC issues.
I have 3 Phoibos’, and no QC issues. I rate them.
@@baldeagle6128 I believe that I was just very unlucky and that Phoibos is a good enough brand, but even the best slip up occasionally.
Sorry, I'm absolutely not a fan of this watch. What I don't like about it is the bracelet with too much bling, the fact that the indices at 3 and 9 are bigger and differently shaped and last but not least the hour hand, because it's so thin towards the pinion. It looks too fragile for a tool watch and it's just disproportionate to the minute hand. Just my two cents.
Font choice is a bit weak. If they went with a better font on the arabics, it would be a real winner
The main thing that's always stopped me from pulling the trigger is thickness - always pushing 14mm and that's just too thick for me

Just searched its €285 or £235, I'll stick with the Heimdallr Godzilla £143 which I think has a nicer dial.

@@watchmewithwatches Thanks. On its own it looks magnificent, but the red looks more like a magenta, I wonder is it going to be difficult to find a nato or leather strap to match this colour?
