Seems like a good deal to me with the discount. I like the malachite dial, it gives it a 70s retro vibe but if I'd probably pick the black and gilt version. Great review, thanks.
Great looking watch , but I agree with your comments about the bezel. It seems that design won out over utility there - but who's going to take that gorgeous dial diving?

Beautiful watch, the green malachite dial makes it pop. If I were to purchase one of these I would either get this one or the mother of pearl, both look awesome. It’s a shame that the indices at nine is misaligned. At first I taught that it might be an optical illusion caused by the malachite but alas that is not the case. Thanks Gary for the great video.

Phoibos to me is slowly getting in the wheelhouse of Zelos and Helm. Gary as always a wonderful review! As I will be going back to the office again 14mm is too chunky with a dress shirt. The bottom line is that all of these wonderful divers are destined to be desk divers and they need to start making them thinner.

Love the dial, I'd like to see more of these natural dials. Real shame about the misalignment, massive fan of phoibos but that really isn't acceptable
Great looking watch. I heavily contemplated it, but I’m saving up for something else. Otherwise I like the red/maroon variation, where the price is fair for the finishing and unique design. Only wish it were thinner (I realize it’s a NH45 diver) then I couldn’t have resisted 😅
i absolutely LOVED my V1...the dial was amazing. But it was just too thick, and still is. The price is fabulous tho.
Nice watch but the price is towards the very top end for me as stated the prices going up for the same specification as before great content as always
It's begining to be a trend in microbrands (Ali or not) to up the prices above the up in Specs. They could al least use a high beat movement and perhaps, keep the NH as a lower price option. Regards

I just got my first Phoibos...mine in salmon. It's a great watch, but the edges on the case are so sharp i actually worry about cutting myself on them.
The green on this one just isn't for me, I liked it at first but I'm not sure now. Think I prefer the yellow or red dial variants. I do like the new updated bezel that looks nicer than the V2 I have but it does look like they've made some nice improvements over the v2.
nice dial govna but it does cause a lot of reflections. should have been matte?
I just wanted to buy the red one but my wife asked me am I crazy as it is kitsch to her eyes. :) It is funky, but now I am confused. :)
On the other hand, the dial won't be exactly the same or identical between watches due to natural malachite. 👍

The dial is nice but I think it would have looked better vertical. When you're saying Phoibos have some of the best bezel actions as you struggle to turn the bezel, so this one is the exception?
I think I said interms of the crispness of the clicks…but this is also unusually stiff for them
@@ilikewatches my V1 was the stiffest bezel ive ever owned...so im not surprised this one is also really stiff

Ummm where (region) do you work? Reindeer herding, Alaska oil, Berring Seas i.e. 'deadliest catch lobster boats'? The freezer department in an ice cream factory? Santas workshop??? -40 ouch .... that's cold.

I think it’s because the watches come from within the EU so import taxes are already paid..
Yes they do. Sign up to their email list. I got an email with a 15% discount code. €285 with 15% discount is £205ish. Free postage and no import tax. I’m wearing the maroon now. It’s a beautiful dial. Every bit as good as the malachite imho. Discount has expired now though. Btw it arrived in 4 days. Better than AliExpress!!!
Sorry, this watch is absolutely not my taste. I'm not complaining about the malachite dial, it is what it is and they offer different dial options after all. First thing I dislike is the handset. The fairly massive minute hand is OK but it's combined with a very dainty and fragile looking hour hand. So thers is the first mismatch in my eyes. But I can seen why they designed the hour hand this way, it is to complement the applied indices. But again, the markers at 3 and 9 o'clock are shaped differently than the others and even bigger than the the 12 o'clock index, so again: I see a mismatch here.

Hmm - are you seriously stating that the dial face is made of gem quality malachite - surely the green color is from a lacquer containing it's synthetic form verditer? - And you also said that the hands, indices & date window are GOLD .. perhaps you mean gold colored. - An interesting review though - Thank You.
I double checked with Phoibos before I made the review, the dial is genuine malachite.

So there are misalignment issues.
Pretty obvious,phoibos is homaging seiko.
With the discount I think it’s good value. I like the malachite dial but it’s a shame the 9 marker is misaligned. Once seen it can’t be ignored.
