Gorgeous watch Jason. Though a 40 or 42mm suits my 8.1" wrist, this will suit a lot of people and that dial is stunning.

Im just about to get my first phoibos, i have the leviathan with grey dial on the way. May i ask, i noticed its a finger prints smudge magnet and thats ok with some metal finishings but i also noticed alot of scratches on this particular peice. Is it bc you used it as a day to day beater? I hope not bc i want to order the red dial+bezel combo gmt.

It has picked up a few scratches but don't let that put you off, I really like to wear my watches! This one in particular has been enjoyed

With the coupon, it's amazing how much watch you get for your money. You're getting a Seiko movement and you're getting I assume Sapphire crystal plus solid in links and a milled class. Compare that to Seiko!
I'm actually a big fan of sword style hour hands, so I think the one on this watch is really nice. However I agree with you that the vertical brushing is not in keeping with the quality of the rest of the watch. I think that horizontal brushing would really take this up a notch.
I also like all the scratches and dings that you have put on it already. I appreciate someone who actually wears their watches and doesn't just keep them in a watch case.
I'm very impressed with this watch. If I didn't have a steinhardt GMT in 39 mm I would definitely be giving this one consideration.

I'm still yet to have a Steinhart, I really do fancy some of their two tone numbers though, particularly the root beer

First 2 tone bezel watch I really like. I'd pay an extra hundred if was 10 or 11 mm thick.

That dial and bezel are so big they hide the case. It look lovely, almost a Rolex/ Christopher Ward mash up.
