    Although, we divers use computers, I use a bezel too. We need a stiff bezel. Whether you're going to use it as a GMT or dive, you don't want the bezel to move by accident. The stiff bezels a good thing.

    One of my favourite brands, expecially taking into account price/quality ratio. The others are (no surprises here): Helm, Zelos and Orient. I was supposed to stop ordering new watches, but I miss one with yellow dial. Oh, well...;)) Thank you!

    This is a fantastic looking watch! I wasn't planning to buy a watch tonight but saw these on Phoibos' website and impulse bought the red one! The green malachite dial is also a stunner. Personally, I couldn't care less about only 200 meters of water resistance since it's on a 12 hour bezel. I'm excited to get this watch. I've always liked Phoibos designs, but this one as much as any I've seen...

    Beautiful looking watch. I've been looking to get a Phoibos for ages and this review has helped me make my mind up on which model to get. It was this or the thinner Nebula. Ordered this in the red and I can't wait to get my hands on it. Bargain this watch.

    Really like what Phoibos are doing, a bit of character, that killer logo and, in this one, that yellow looks amazing. Great review, hope they fix the bezel even though I much prefer a stiffer bezel than not.

    As always a great review. Just wanted to mention that I received one of the new batch of Voyagers this week and the bezel action is great. Got a great click, no back play, and has the right amount of resistance. Hopefully they addressed the bezel problem you mentioned in your video (and I didn't just get lucky as I normally don't with watches).

    Nice looking watch. Love the black edged markers, great contrast, would love more like this. Always thought 200m is plenty. Make it thinner, RZE do 200 with 12.5mm on their Endeavour with NH38, not sure how others aren't matching/beating that with thinner movements like the 9015.

    Looks like a lemon to me! I think switching the bevel from all metal to having a bevel insert changes the character of the watch. Less bling, more ordinary. It just doesn't look right.
    However, it's good to see Phoebus have improved the lume! ( I own a Voyager 1 and the lume isn't great.) At least this version will look better in the dark!

    Hey Pete, that V3 is a good looking watch. I can see where the legibility with that dial is a step up from the V2 that's coming my way. But, I do favor the dial design of the V2 better. And having an 8 inch wrist, the larger case suits me better too. Looks like you're having some R & R, good for you bud. Looking forward to getting my Voyager V2 soon. Enjoyed the video...

    Great review, Peter. Love this watch, that yellow is amazing. Unfortunately it has sold out! I have just purchased the red one, but haven't received it yet. The other colourwave of particular interest is the malachite one, I have a few green dial timepieces, but that one could easily find a home in my small collection. Quite a few of Phoibos' watches are a little too thick and chunky for me, and some are ruined by weird handset choices. The new Kraken has a LOT to like, but what totally kills it for me is the awful handset (the datewheels are bizzarre). I love the steel bezels on the V1 and V2 of the voyager, and the aforementioned Kraken. Sometimes Phoibos seems to try way too hard to do something totally different, but ends up going way too far and making a confused mess of their watches. A shame, as they have a lot to offer. WR of 300m is a complete nonsense, no-one dives with watches these days, so lose 1 mm or so while still offering 200 and you have a much more wearable 'dive' watch.

  • @Furniture121
    @Furniture121 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I think the watch is likely a great deal at it's price, but with a few tweaks it could be a great watch at a higher price. If they used a Miyota 9015, slimmed it down to ~12mm, and fixed the bezel issues it would be a very compelling package, particularly as a fun summer watch.
    It's in a completely different price range, but my DS30 has 200m WR, and is 10mm thin...

    It’s an eye catching watch… what drew my eyes was the stark white elongated diamond shape indices… the black boarder really makes them pop on top of the glossy yellow dial… great balance in design between the indices and hands. No need for the polished centre links though… it’s a full stop dive watch; extra bling not needed.
    Always like the reviews PK.

    Im simply not a fan of this watch. I believe the older versions had polished case sides and this one has brushed case sides so that's an improvement. But I don't like the hour hand that's so thin at its base, it looks too fragile for me. And I don't like the fact that the indices at 3 and 9 look bigger than the 12 o'clock index.

    • @PeterKotsa
      @PeterKotsa  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Have to disagree, I think the resistance Phoibos bezels offer is perfect. It is very subjective though. Best Phoibos watch is still the Nebula in my opinion. The vertical brushing on the watch you reviewed is horrible, but still better than polishing I suppose

    OK...its not slimmer tho. 13.9 =14mm. It was and still is the biggest issue with this watch, its just too tank-ish with that thickness. If they can find a way to knock off 1MM from it, its a no brainer cus it looks fantastic and the V1/V2 enamel dials were amazing.

    • @PeterKotsa
