I managed to install this on my Corolla too thank you 🙏🏽 I had clearance issues with the door cover so I had to move it elsewhere but works!

What I did to really help me, I laid out all the wires on my kitchen table and figured out where everything was going to go before I went out to the car. And another tip is to just try to be as confident as possible. It’s easy when you know where everything goes.

No problem. I’m glad the video could help.
And all you have to do is connect the 2 purple wires(I believe that is the color for the parking lights) and tap them into the turn signal wire. You will need more wire to to make it there.

Hey did you end up doing a video showing how to wire the read door actuators? I think I have the same vehicle and can't figure out where to feed the wires into the door panel.
To be honest I have not done the back doors yet.
And that’s pretty much the reason why I have not. There is no predrilled holes for the wires.
So I have been trying to think of a good way to do it where it looks clean and good.

I have a question.. What is the parking light wire? 🙁
I installed a system a few days ago in my car, but when I lock and open the doors the brake lights come on and not the emergency lights. I followed the directions and they weren't those lights.
My car is a 2009 Corolla, automatic transmission.

I never had that problem, but it sounds like the wires are connected to the wrong power source. Might need to double check the power you are pulling from.
When you get inside the car does it auto lock. Or do you still have to manually lock the doors?
It does not. The problem is this is not connected to any of the car systems. So none of the factory settings that a stock car would have work.
Awesome tutorial! But I was wondering if the cable lock brackets are universal, will they work for my 2010 Honda Civic?
They are universal, the only reason I needed them was because my corolla doesn’t have the rod locks, rather it had the cable locks. So as long as your civic has the cable locks than it would work for it!

How do you find out if your car has keyless entry by factory? I have a 2009 rolla s, I'm the 4th owner and it came with the regular key with no fob to unlock the car?
Usually if your car has electronic locks, you should have keyless entry. My car didn’t have any electric locks, so I knew I needed this.

Usually if your car has electronic locks, you can tell if you have buttons on your door to lock and unlock all the cars.
If you have that. Then you wouldn’t need to install this kit. And you should be able to add a remote to your existing system.
How did you mount the new actuator to the door panel? The shot wasn’t clear enough.
It was more of a trial and error, until I found the spot that worked. and once I did. I just screwed it to the door panel.
@@BrandonStellmach did you need extra 10mm bolts for the actuator brackets? I can’t figure out a good spot for mine so I figured I’d try and mirror what you did. I have the exact same car and want this to be as seemless as possible haha
It has been a while since I installed these on my car, but from what I remember, I just used what came with the locks. I put the links in the description to what I bought.

If you already have power locks, it should already be on your key! Because the factory key would work to open the trunk.
And with the pop trunk would you need a single actuator ? Purchased separate !
You will need the single actuator. also you will need to have an electronic lock system to hook up the remote trunk release. And I have a video installing the trunk release: th-cam.com/video/yyu9lzrKTnU/w-d-xo.html

@@francescosuarez these videos should help you pretty good than! Because my car had manual locks too, it’s just installing them might be slightly different, but all the wiring should be the same! If you got any more questions just ask! Always trying to help!

@@mehatestaxesI never thought ended up making a video adding those wires. But I did just tap into the flasher relay prongs and splice the wire into that.

Do you mean your car didn’t come with actuators? If so, the kits includes them and you will install them. Just as I did In The video!

I have had this on for over a year, and it has never drained my battery!
