bro i used your video to wire my sunroof and i finally got it to work you wouldn't believe how many false videos iv'e watched specifically about sunroof wiring that didn't work and was poorly explained and here you are with door locks.. freaking amazing!! thank you!!!!!!
Even though this video is 7 years old, I was trouble shooting a problem on my Mazda protégé that had an aftermarket alarm like this. I inadvertently knocked off 2 wires from the relays , I had no clue where they went on the relays until watching your video, although wired slightly different, your video gave the key to fixing my problem. Thank you Sir for a well put together video.
Bro I'm so glad you made this video I ain't even going to lie I've been trying to do my alarm system for so f****** long AKA like 3 hours and I couldn't figure it out and I was going to blow up a relay but your video came in clutch I love you man
A very stupid simple to the point video!! If someone finds this hard to wire up, then pay to have someone install. I wish I would of found this video a long time ago! I have a avital 4105l! Thank you man!
Thank you man it really did help me I’ve been doing this wire diagram 20 different ways for about a week and I finally got it with your video thank you
Thank you so much for this, just bought a viper system for my 86 c10 and your video helped me add power locks to it as well and have it hooked to my alarm great video
I’m problems trying to wire up my actuators. I did exactly what u have on the video. But the actuator only goes down(lock) open doesn’t do anything. Any pointers? I have an Astra a15/777 alarm
Hi, watched this so many times to get mine right! However, do you know how to attach a latching push button to open the door? I don't have a handle only 12v push button switch
I'm trying to do a keyless entry system on a 2 door truck. Do I need 2 relays for that or should the factory wiring harness & inline fuse be OK to just run a hot & a ground? Actuators have blue & green wires. 1 has like 6 wires. Can I just do blue & green just to get the keyless entry?
Very very good video my man all very clear amd easy to wire ... definitely using this video to install lock actuator on my 76 with an existing alarm thanks for sharing my boy
I really liked your video. It was to the point, really well explained. I am having problems with my car rear door locks. The actuators are not getting enough power to unlock the doors. I took it to a mechanic shop, and they couldn't work on it, because they said the problem has to do with the alarm system. I checked the alarm system wiring, and it seems to be fine. However, I still have the lack of power problem. Now, after watching your video, I want to use the same diagram idea. My question is, what type of 5 pin relays did you use? Thanks
What about the master actuator (White - Brown - Black - Green - Blue) in other central locking units? I know the black is ground, but what about the (White and Brown)? Thank You :)
Thanks man you made tomorrow so much easier on me man I was going to tear my truck apart tomorrow and try different methods but this was is super simple and well explained man. Thank again
How would a second actuator work with the main one? Do I have to do all the steps over again with more relays? Or do I just get the blue and green wire from the second actuator and put it in the alarm. I'm super confused please help!!!!
I know this is old but its been 10 years since I bought my truck and the Viper 5900 LOL and I have yet wired up the door locks. So its a 96 Chev Silverado 2dr ext cab. It says Door Lock Light Blue Driver's Kick Panel w/Keyless Positive Door Unlock White W/o Keyless Entry Reverse Polarity (5 Wire) So do I just follow your guide here for both lock and unlock using 2 relays, or do I only need 1 relay for the unlock wire ? Will this also work if you just tap into the lock/unlock wires or do you NEED to cut each ? Thank You !
Power to the alarm normally comes from ignition harness. He hooked the “signal” ( blue and green wires) to the relays( 2 black boxes). Watch his video a few times! It really not that hard to follow the way he wires it.
So I took my car to install a viper 5706v like 3 years ago, the doors don’t unlock after a long time of being parked but do unlock after parking for about 1-2 hours. I recently dismantled the parts covering under the steering wheel but I didn’t found any relays wired to the lock, unlock I followed the ground wire and it goes to the chassis. Could that be the reason it doesn’t unlock after parking for a long time???
hi sir may i know the output voltage of this viper alarm when sending chirp lock/unlock , can i make that sound in my clifford 3105x?what component should i add to make chirp like your video...thanks
Daniel Her for some reason when I'm training new installers about 5 wire door locks or window bidirectional motion using relays ;they tend to grasps the concept better using that configuration. I labeled my technique. The " inner and outer pair grouping " method.
I feel like its a dumb question but how do you plug this into the vehicle... Like I need elementary instructions and its honestly frustrating cause there's no videos where people actually up close plug them in
using relay is important u can get good power source on the output of the relay and it also gives protection on the switches and it will avoid fire it will shutdown depending on the wiring
PrecisionConnections i have a question i have a 08 civic dx with no power locks i bought a keyless entry system with 4 lock actuators how would i install it do i need a relay
Don't suppose you no which wires for the Nissan terrano ? It has a nat security system but want rid of that , I've bought a car alarm with central locking control ... I believe it has a positive trigger so how do I change it to negative trigger ??
Dean curtis they are located in drivers kick panel. look for the smallest wires going into the door; test those wires for factory unlock disarm using the key in the drivers door lock
I bought a truck with an Alarm, it has manual door locks but the driver door is capable of opening by alarm remote. A few days ago, the door stopped unlocking and locking, what could be the cause and where should I look? Thank you.
i have Honda Civic 1998 model (sedan) VTI engine. in my car have power windows.with key when i lock door from outside all door lock and unlock. i want install door lock central system. I don't have information" either i use actuator motor or without actuator" . i am actually confuse.kindly guide me.
Same here. I laid out the relays just like on the video and wired it up the same way and all i got was smoke coming out of my relays. I must be doing something wrong. Btw, not hooked up to an alarm but the door lock switch. The door lock actuator went out on my nephew's lancer and the dealer don't sell the part anymore.
I have a problem with my alarm system I press the button on the remote give me a song that it's lock but you're not hearing the actuator activating is this a kids will be at the relay is bad can somebody help me out then how to test that relay if it's bad or good and where to find it in the motor vehicle
Thanks! I want to use my cars lock/unlock feature for when I put my car in Park the doors will unlock, and in Drive the doors will lock automatically from the car's own actuator. I have a base Chevy Spark and the only door with a power lock is the driver's door and no remote. I installed my own remote and want the car's auto lock/unlock feature to tie into my actuators too.
Yes. Parallel the motor wires together: every motor must be wired to move in the same direction in respect to your lock and unlock position. You must always fuse your positive main feed with a 3.5 amps per motor or 15 amps to 14 gauge or thicker (lower the number the fatter the wire) size wire.
PrecisionConnections ok but how do i wire up the master actuator? Mines has 5 wires running from it. Or should i just use the 2 wires like the video and leave the rest
Aaron Bachew if you have the relays built into your actuator then this video Will not help you. You will need to follow the instructions that was provided with your kit. The wiring on those chinese units are not standardize: they are most likely proprietary because of trademark issue over there
They copied another company's design without permission and didn't compensation them that's why you might be staring at some weird looking colors coming out of the the main actuator
I'm a bit confused, why do you have the Negative on the 87a terminal? AFAIK thats the output to 30 which is normally closed and opens when current flows between 85 and 86. Someone help me to understand this please.
DSK In the normally closed position both motor wires rest on ground and when relay 1 is energized a positive 12volts powers one side of the motor. Causing it to move in one direction up and if only relay 2 is energized then the motor goes down
I just wired my van actuators the same way you did thank you . I save my self lots of money by doing it my self . Keep up the videos
bro i used your video to wire my sunroof and i finally got it to work you wouldn't believe how many false videos iv'e watched specifically about sunroof wiring that didn't work and was poorly explained and here you are with door locks.. freaking amazing!! thank you!!!!!!

Thanks man. Best keyless entry “how to” video I’ve seen so far. Great job.
Thank you man!
bruh you really put me in the game, i was just about to quit!! lol I got it!!
Thank you!
Thank you man it really did help me I’ve been doing this wire diagram 20 different ways for about a week and I finally got it with your video thank you
Do those two relays work for just one actuator or will they run two actuators as well ?
Thank you so much for this, just bought a viper system for my 86 c10 and your video helped me add power locks to it as well and have it hooked to my alarm great video
I’m problems trying to wire up my actuators. I did exactly what u have on the video. But the actuator only goes down(lock) open doesn’t do anything. Any pointers? I have an Astra a15/777 alarm
Hi, watched this so many times to get mine right! However, do you know how to attach a latching push button to open the door? I don't have a handle only 12v push button switch
I know this video might be old but does all alarms need this relay? I have the viper 3100v it has the blue and green wire that outputs +and -
I'm trying to do a keyless entry system on a 2 door truck.
Hiya, 2 questions 1), what colour wires did you hook the alarm too? 2) do I need another 2 relays for the passanger side with actuator?
I really liked your video. It was to the point, really well explained. I am having problems with my car rear door locks. The actuators are not getting enough power to unlock the doors. I took it to a mechanic shop, and they couldn't work on it, because they said the problem has to do with the alarm system. I checked the alarm system wiring, and it seems to be fine. I understand the need for relays for power window kits,,, but are relays really needed for power locks..
Thanks.
Would I need to do this if the car already has keyless entry and in trying to install and after market one with remote start? Thanks
Good Bench Test Set Up and Clear Explanation. Thumbs up.
Bro your the best , great easy to understand instructions
Exaclty which relays did you use. I followed all the steps and it keeps blowing the fuse
What about the master actuator (White - Brown - Black - Green - Blue) in other central locking units? I know the black is ground, but what about the (White and Brown)?
Thank You :)
A most exellent demo sir.absolutely brilliant.thankyou so much indeed.very concise and clear.thankyou loads ste grom uk.
this is what i like straight to the point clean and very easy to follow videos
Will this kit work with 1976 c10 manual locks?
Dude you are a lifesaver. Thank you for posting this video
Where u get relays trying do same thing
Can this setup be used on 91 foxbody mustang?
Thanks for the video. Straight forward and plain english. I found your tutorial helpful to me
This worked perfectly for me, thank you!
Thanks man! You made it very easy to understand.
Thanks man you made tomorrow so much easier on me man I was going to tear my truck apart tomorrow and try different methods but this was is super simple and well explained man.
Thank again
Excellent demonstration, just what I was looking for.
Will this work for type c door locks
Can you make a video on wiring a switch to be used with this setup to lock unlock the car from inside
It says
Door Lock Light Blue Driver's Kick Panel w/Keyless Positive
Door Unlock White W/o Keyless Entry Reverse Polarity (5 Wire)
So do I just follow your guide here for both lock and unlock using 2 relays, or do I only need 1 relay for the unlock wire ? Will this also work if you just tap into the lock/unlock wires or do you NEED to cut each ?
Thank You !
thanks a lot man it took me a while to wire my door locks but it got done two times thumbs up!
est9three good to hear that thanks
When you say 12 volts source do you mean straight to the battery or just a wire that runs a constant 12 I’m a bit confused.
ignition wire to battery
How would I wire the passenger side to work with the remote
Where are you feeding power to the viper unit? And you are wiring directly to the actuator? How will that affect the switch on the door for U/L?
Power to the alarm normally comes from ignition harness. He hooked the “signal” ( blue and green wires) to the relays( 2 black boxes). Watch his video a few times! It really not that hard to follow the way he wires it.
Is that a double face relay? 87 and 87a ?
So I took my car to install a viper 5706v like 3 years ago, the doors don’t unlock after a long time of being parked but do unlock after parking for about 1-2 hours. I recently dismantled the parts covering under the steering wheel but I didn’t found any relays wired to the lock, unlock I followed the ground wire and it goes to the chassis. Great and easy to understand but now what if I want to add in power door lock switches
hi sir may i know the output voltage of this viper alarm when sending chirp lock/unlock , can i make that sound in my clifford 3105x?what component should i add to make chirp like your video...thanks
Thanks.. this help installed my 3105v viper alarm with aftermarket door locks on my 88 Toyota pick up... Thanks again......
Do you have a diagram handy?? Please!!!
Thanks sir it helps me alot I am learner God bless you
Does it matter what wire guage i use ?
how to activate the level 2 anti starter or killer starter so that it can make a sound
Your video really did me some good on my '03 marquis! Thanks for the knowledge! 👍🏽
is it possible to add door switch to this, if so where?
Does this make do the one press unlock driver door two press passenger door. How do you make it do this function???
Do we need 2 relays per door?
I need to know too
For a two setup Power Door Lock Actuator just two relays or more?
So you have trigger green on pin85 of relay #2 and trigger blue on pin86 of relay #1?
Daniel Her for some reason when I'm training new installers about 5 wire door locks or window bidirectional motion using relays ;they tend to grasps the concept better using that configuration. I labeled my technique. The " inner and outer pair grouping " method.
PrecisionConnections It worked well for me as well. You're video was a big help! Thank you very much.
Hey bro. Can you help me i want to make a house door lock with actuator i have a car lock/unlock buttons and i dont know how to connect can you help ?
Awesome video. I just copied the vid as you went and it turned out perfectly. Now to add one for the trunk.
here's the link to what you are looking for th-cam.com/video/PqYRdxQf8Bs/w-d-xo.html
Yeah I watched that one first, I was saying I need to find time to do it. Helpful videos though
How much amp a aftermarket central locking system sends and how much amp is necessary to operate the actuator
I feel like its a dumb question but how do you plug this into the vehicle... Like I need elementary instructions and its honestly frustrating
cause there's no videos where people actually up close plug them in
Is this for 2 doors?
Hi, why do we need to use a relay ? It doesn t work without it? Or it could drain the battery with relays? Thanks,
using relay is important u can get good power source on the output of the relay and it also gives protection on the switches and it will avoid fire it will shutdown depending on the wiring
No fuse? If you need one, what size??
Great video... Between yours and a couple others, I have everything I need! I appreciate you!
PrecisionConnections i have a question i have a 08 civic dx with no power locks i bought a keyless entry system with 4 lock actuators how would i install it do i need a relay

I have a 89 Nissan 240sx with manual doors no stock wiring for locks! I have Avital 3305l... do I copy exactly?
Good video thanks for sharing👍
Tanks it’s really helpful
how do i wire more than just 1 actuator ????
you had my answer thank you bud😃
I bought a truck with an Alarm, it has manual door locks but the driver door is capable of opening by alarm remote. A few days ago, the door stopped unlocking and locking, what could be the cause and where should I look? Thank you.

How many amp for that relay? 40amp? Or 80amp?
What type of system
Each door needs 2 relays?
I keep trying to make it work but I can't, I'm going to go and get another relay but the video was a great help thanks
Same here. I laid out the relays just like on the video and wired it up the same way and all i got was smoke coming out of my relays. I must be doing something wrong. Excellent!
So you need 8 relays for 4 doors?
How would you add a switch

My joint started smoking. My remote unit had a hot and ground already. I linked the hot from the relay. The hot and ground heated up
ya, me too
Thank you so much man I understand it now thanks again bro
How did you learn to do this type of stuff?
Thank you man 😀
thanks
So if i wanted to use an actuator with 5 wires would it be the same process? Im installing 3 door locks to my Isuzu trooper

PrecisionConnections would love to share a picture with you of what it looks like. Can we send pics on youtube?
Hi, I have a 5 pins power window/lock switch, and I want to use this switch to control 4 actuators. How to do the wiring? Thank you .
wire them in parallel with eachother
Whats the leds
Question for you can be done any alarm thank you the same way.
Can I wire two actuators instead of just one to this by just adding the wires together?
Correct! all you will have to do is step up your fuse and wire gauge 12 gauge wire @15 amps fuse is Ideal
So clean!
what happens if i lost the remort
Perfect explanation!
Tanks very much. Nice job big boss
What about 4pin relay

Perfect instructions, well done, brilliant video, had to comment!!! Awaiting relays now...
Amazing tips and steps bro, thanks
