  • In this video I will be installing an aftermarket keyless entry system. This is a very simple system that adds remote fobs to cars with power door locks.

    Here is the one I bought, but they are all very similar and you can find it by the keywords: Universal Door lock keyless remote entry system

      I curse Honda for not including keyless entry on my Fit. I has power locks already, just connect a GD module, include 2 fobs and raise the price of the car $100. Absolute idiocy in this day and age.

    Thank you so much, i recently got a 2000 taurus (without KLE) handme down, nothing wrong with it besides being rekeyed (when it was stolen while unattended and i see hiring a locksmith to be way expensive for a boring normal key) got the one with the trunk opening option, looked up the diagrams on shopkey and confirmed before cutting, got it all nice and soldered up and I'm enjoying it. A little peace of mind knowing no one will be messing inside of it and beats hiring a locksmith to find the old codes.

    going back to an old video you guys made. How would you connect the Trackmate gps dash T11 to your fuel pump relay using the relay they gave you.

    • @CarSharingJho
      @CarSharingJho  ปีที่แล้ว

      It would be the same way as connecting it to the starter. You cut a powered wire going to the pump and put the relay in between.
      I personally wouldn’t wire it to the pump because I wouldn’t want to accidentally engage it while the car is driving and I wouldn’t want the guest to burn out the starter if they keep trying to turn on the car with no fuel.

    I got the same kit for my Toyota Celica T200 (1994) Can you confirm if my install will be the same as yours or do I have to wire it differently? (im not sure if mine is negative trigger aswell)
    Also the websites states my power unlock has 2 cables, how should i wire it?
    Thanks!

    • @CarSharingJho
      @CarSharingJho  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      On the website it states: "NOTE #1: WHEN CONNECTING FOR UNLOCK, YOU MUST USE BOTH WIRES AND DIODE ISOLATE, to connect."
      www.commandocaralarms.com/wiring/1994-1996/toyota/celica/1967.html
      So you'll have the 2 unlock wires from the car and 1 from this system, so 3 wires connected together. I just don't know how to "Diode isolate" like it says on the note.

    How do I figure out which wires to tap into if my year/make/model doesn’t have a diagram on commando alarms? All of the wires on my 2013 Kia soul are taped tightly together so I’m not easily able to pull wires out and examine closely

      @@CarSharingJho So basically I went out to buy a multimeter and found that on the (suspected) locking wire and the (suspected) Unlocking wire when I lock the vehicle and my black probe is grounded and my red probe is connected to the exposed Locking wire initially the multimeter shows a 0v read and after I lock the vehicle it shows about a spike on the voltage from 0v to 10/11/12V not exactly constant and when I unlock the vehicle it shows a reading of 0.5 to about 1v on the (Locking Wire) and basically the same for the unlocking wire as well so I used ChatGPT it told me that this is a postive trigger locking system as compared to negative trigger locking when the volt is a constant 12v drops to 0v or close to that is supposed to be a negative trigger locking system instead it's completely vice versa for me I'm just informing you this And I'd appreciate if you can confirm that my vehicle is a postive trigger locking system as I have given the complete diagnostic of what occured with me and unfortunately I am unable to find any website or even the link you have provided to help me confirm this issue

    I just installed this on my chevy express van and for some reason now the button for my drivers door does not work at all. The keyless entry system works and unlocks all doors just fine, even drivers door, all other buttons in the van also work for every door, only the drivers side button does not work (this is the one I tied into for keyless entry). Any ideas why this might be? If I take the lock/unlock wires from the keyless entry system off of my drivers door switch, the switch works again. Seems like something with the keyless entry module messing with the switch but I just don’t know why that would be. Figure A is the wiring diagram I had to use btw

    1. The remote central locking should not work whenever any of the 5 doors is opened. In the present case, your car is still able to lock and unlock all doors when any door is opened. So this is the drawback feature.
    2. You turn on the hazard lights and all 4 lights up. At the same time, you pressed the lock and unlock remote key, then BOOM the fuses will blown out.
