I have often asked myself the following question: isn't a Trimaran a bit rougher in comfort when the sea is rough. A Trimaran crashes into the sea. But the "mouth" that this yacht will have is superb. Thank you David for the continuation and the answers coming from the "viewers", it is superb.👍👍👍

David, why on most trimaran yachts are the outer hulls much smaller in width and normally joined by lateral beams? Why could you not have 3 hulls the same size/ width and then join them all together horizontally across the top and take more advantage of the space between the hulls? Imagine having cabins hung down below the main decks between the outer hulls and main hull with forward facing window's. Obviously with much higher hulls. It's hard to explain the mental image I have of how I would want a trimaran.. I had to edit as too many mistakes lol
It's a good question, and I'd need a Naval Architect to answer it! My (limited) experience with trimarans is that they all have a large centre hull and two smaller hulls that act more as outriggers. I can't help thinking that three equally sized hulls may be extremely difficult to manoeuvre in port...that may have something o do with it.
@@yachtbuilders I just edited above as my spelling was atrocious. With regard to your comment, maybe but catamarans hulls are equal sizes in most cases, they maneuver ok. Of course you do get catamarans that consist of one main hull and a much smaller outrigger hull. I think I need to design a yacht then become rich selling it so I can build my own.
@@HarveyPaul007 Trimarans are known for being ultra fast. They do this by making sure the hull areas that comes into contact with water (from the outer hulls and main hull) is less than an equivalent monohull of the same length. That is why trimarans have a narrow main hull and even narrower amas (outriggers) therefore having 3 hulls of the same width joined together will make the boat very slow because of the increased water resistance. You cannot also increase the height of the hulls too much because doing so creates a wall of wind resistance making it difficult for the boat to move forward without being blown sideways by the wind. Hope this helps with your designs

Any way if the width is short enough to not block channel & not get f-ed over no birthing or double charge your high dollar racer will b more than fine short trips no stores like normal boat.

That Whole build is not Good enough, not Sea Worthy.. Sorry to say, a money pit..
I was out at sea in her yesterday to film the final video. We took very rough seas on the way back...seemed pretty seaworthy to me.
