This project is WAY more than a typical refit. Your boat was entirely rebuilt from bow to stern, mast top to keel! Absolutely phenomenal work. Far beyond what I expected. It's as if you purchased a new fully customized yacht. This project looks like it was a greater journey than even a transoceanic passage. Very interested to see the rest of the changes. Looking forward to the other videos on the refit!! 😎
Hi Ania and Bartek. It good to see you. Poly looks wonderful so far. Cannot wait to see the rest of her. The boys are getting so big!! Hi Kuba and Julian.
She's such a unique and uniquely beautiful boat. It must be an amazing feeling knowing she's not only a one of a kind boat in terms of model, but that thanks to your personal touches there is no other boat like her anywhere else in the world.
Thank you. Though for us it's not really about how unique she is in the World, but how personally customized she is, to serve us as the best combination of a sailboat and a home. Cheers.
This was an amazing vid. Never knew you can do such extensive work on a boat. Final product looks incredible. Beautiful home. Thanks for creating this vid.
That hardtop bimini and partially enclosed cockpit seems like it would be absolutely amazing for a cruiser. Having a safe place partially enclosed outside while cruising, or functional outdoor sunroom area while anchored would be a game changer. Really impressed with the design, the refits looking amazing!
I only caught the tail end of the refit, then you were gone for a while, so it's great to see you out on the water, with a beautiful floating home now. An amazing lookin boat, i can only imagine the joy of waking up in the morning to the veiws out those cabin windows..Great effort on the refit, more power to your elbow 💪👊😘
Thanks 👍 It truly is awesome to wake up aboard this boat in the places we anchor. Great payback for the sweat, tears, blood, and money spent in 2021-3. Cheers. B
Just subscribed! The algorithm has sent you my way and I must say, your boat is a tasteful piece of floating functional artwork! ❤ If I was building it myself I wouldn't change a thing (including your lovely family - you all glow with happiness!) Looking forward to future episodes, and catching up on some older ones. Best of health to you all. Cheers guys!!! ❤
Finally! After pandemix and hurricanes and Ukraines - its 90(ish)% complete. The first Neel too? Nicely done. Poly looks beautiful and the family looks very happy, congradulations to you all.
Such a beautiful boat. Congrats on a fantastically well performed refit. Lovely couple, lovely boat. YAH Most High bless you all and may you have smooth sailing.
I love your choice of music. I just wish I could have heard more of it. You made some good choices for upgrading your boat. The manufacturer should consult with you. I don't think I'd want to "live" on a boat, but I'm still jealous.
I'm so happy to have new video from you and I don't miss one. The result of the refit is unbelievable. I'm sure there are lots of little details that we don't see on camera, but hey, we don't make new out of old. However, we can improve a lot to make it stronger and more efficient, and above all more comfortable than new.... Honestly it is successful on all points. Cheer. Personally thinking of leaving on our boat with a girl who will be 8 years old and more information on the social life of the children on board interests me.
More on that will be coming too. And yes you are right. Doesn't matter how much detail we go into with camera it's still never shows the full picture. Cheers. B
What a massive refit!, well it took some time for such a big project. I like the water-tab-options with the mineral-water-option for drinking, curious to see the setup in a future video ;)
WOW! In typical Polish fashion you guys crushed it! What an awesome job you did! I've never been prouder to be Polish, what a sweet rig you have now. This is an awesome cruiser and I must say it is now better than when it was new, I think you made neel look bad...lol So much work went in and you did a great job on this video as well, I'm super impressed! thank you for sharing with us. :)
If I haven't been following the refit I would not believe that this phantastic result has been achieved in just one year and a halve !! One thing I noticed is no blinds on that big windows (I would not call them hatches), intention or still waiting for a solution ? Poly simply looks breathtaking !
Take a look at the later part of the video and you'll see window covers in the boys room. We have the same option in ours, but like the views. Cheers. B

Cheers! kudos! new subscriber. amazing beautiful transformation into a tech savy modern upgrades sailing yacht. Proud owners set sail for new sea port destinations/ family adventures
From the first day I observed this NEEL 50, I have always loved her lines and interior spaciousness. I envy her very efficient use of space and am absolutely convinced that multi-hulls are the safest designs. (I currently own a trailerable trimaran coastal cruiser. My previous boat was a Fontaine-Pajot catamaran.) I don’t speak Polish, but followed your refit on your Polish channel using Google translate. (That was a challenge in itself!) NEEL absolutely dropped the ball when they did not maintain this design concept. The design influences/similarities between FPs and this prototype are quite obvious, so possibly copyright played a part in moving NEEL to shift toward a more angular design. The lines of your NEEL are elegant. Why have you not mentioned your spinnaker blow-out during your crossing? I realize that might have been caused by operator error/inattention, but it does make for drama! I had hoped you would convert to diesel-electric propulsion, but alas my hopes were dashed. I agree that the systems are not fully mature and insurance regulations are slow to adapt. My FP was heavily damaged in both Irma & Maria, so I know first hand what insurance claims are! I enjoy your technical discussions, since it is obvious your customized solutions and innovations show the pilot in you, I can see your fascination and curiosity shine through. You have a lovely boat, lovely family, and lovely life-style. You share an honest curiosity about ocean travel which is a pleasure to experience through the lens, similar to: Sailing Fair Isle, Sailing Cadoha, Young Barnacles, and other smaller, but honest channels. Wonderful 😎
I have to commend your resolve to go through the hassle of transcribing the Polish episodes. Respect. I think we did mention the spinnaker blow-out in one of our oceans crossing episodes. And I vaguely remember even owning up to it being a result of my inattention to higher than expected gust and to proper steering while discussing another subject with Adam. In any case, I am glad you see and value the brutal honesty that we like to stick to. And yes, pilot in me wants redundancy of systems, so we built it in. The technical episodes are coming after the general boat tour. Cheers. Bartek

Very nice. This looks like what i think of a house boat. My only difference is that it would not be a sail and use a hybrid power system with electric motors + diesel backup. How much is your monthly cost of living on this boat, including everything. And then the maintenance costs? And finally rough estimate of the boat cost and refit cost.
Bold statement in title. How far can she point upwind? Can she match or beat true wind? What's her typical reach like? Biggest seas she's been through? What's her Top speed so far? How low or high in latitudes have you taken her? What's her sail plan like? - what would you want to make her sail plan if you could snap your fingers and make it happen in an instant. What's her displacement and considerations when fully loaded for a crossing... All these things are so interesting to know . I hope you see this comment and respond . ❤
Thankyou so much. I've always thought your Trimaran was beautiful. Can you help me ? Where did you get the hardware for the bed Hydraulics ? I went to the Poly Recommends page and it was there but hadn't been filled out yet.
Hey. Thank you. You can get pistons like that at furniture, automotive, or sailing stores. You have to experiment a bit. Ours ended up being 2 x 400 N for each bed. Cheers mate.
It's a wonderful boat. I like it a lot. My only less than complimentary thought is, why do you have square corners on cabinetry, especially the kitchen where one stands while cooking or moving through it to go elsewhere. I know it is mostly a flat sailing boat but 50 feet is not so large that it won't be knocked around a bit in weather. Those pointy corners can catch a gut or spine and do some damage. Another question is do you ever get spray or rain coming through the round forward facing portholes in amas cabins? I had my boombox sitting on the salon table directly below the dining room hatch on a charter 50 foot monohull. Naturally it was drenched by salt water spray from a four foot wave that slapped the side of the boat. Not a good place for anything electrical or electronic. I was thinking about your children's laptop computer sitting on the desk in front of an open forward facing port. Last question for now is about ventilation. Hopefully you have addressed this in subsequent videos, but the four deck hatches are outside of the amas cabins and I did not notice any AC vents, although I could have missed them. What about internal airflow or temperature control in warm weather or when you are buttoned up during storms? I still like your boat. 🤩
Apparently the angle at which the hull arches up towards the transom is not steep enough for an easy shaft solution. We did give it a thought. I'd love to skip the saildrive if I could help it. We did not change the keels or fins. Cheers. B
How did you finance the purchase first of the Neel, and how can you afford all of this? I had an agreement for an AA Piver 48 at $65,000 that I couldn’t close due to the fact no one wanted to lend me the money! (I’m a disabled veteran that grosses $96,000 per year) I love the refrigerator and I wanted to do the hydraulic lift on the beds. I appreciated how you rebuilt the boat, I’ve been a fan of Neel trimarans for years and even watched videos on your boat before you bought it!
We spoke about it on few occasions in different episodes, but basically it's a combination of loan, savings, and running income for the refits. Cheers. B
Yay, they are back, but wait. Why am I not subscribed anymore? I was subscribed to your channel a long time, but no longer. And I promise, no, I did not unsubscribe. This weird auto-unsubscribing seem to happen a lot of channels. So looks like I missed some. Anyway, to my ears, it seems like Bartek have improved his English, a lot. Enjoyed the refurished boat. Happy winds of travel.
Awesome looking! The master head is a tinny bit larger than the kids/ guest head. Why is that? I'm still really curious about the double hull from the factory deciding to add more buoyancy so they added to the hull without removing the original hull which made for two hulls. How did you correct that or did you correct that?
That's a great question about the hull. I'll answer it in technical episode. Please clarify the question about heads. They are both identical in size. They are mirror images of each other. Cheers. B
@@sailoceans The heads look slightly different in size in the top view drawing you showed in this video. By the way, how much does your boat weigh? I'm building a Cyber 48 just like Sailing Life on Jupiter.
