ගල්ගමුව වනජීවී උමග හදන හැටි ( Construction of Wildlife Tunnel)

ගල්ගමුව සහ අඹන්පොල දුම්රිය ස්ථාන අතර පිහිටා ඇති ගඩදිවුල - කාසිකොටේ දුම්රිය මාර්ගයේ නිරන්තරයෙන් අලි තරණය කරන ස්ථානයක් ඇත.
වන අලි දුම්රියේ ගැටීමෙන් සිදුවන අනතුරු අවම කිරීම සඳහා පළමු වනජීවී උමං මාර්ගය දුම්රිය මාර්ගය යට ඉදි කෙරේ. ව්‍යාපෘතිය 2024.03.01 දින ගල්ගමුව - ගැටදිවුල - කාසිකෝටේ දී ආරම්භ කරන ලදී.
ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ පළමු වනජීවී උමං මාර්ගය මහව - ඕමන්ත දුම්රිය ප්‍රතිසංස්කරණ ව්‍යාපෘතිය යටතේ ඉදිකිරීමට නියමිතව තිබුණි. නමුත් තාක්ෂණික හා මුල්‍ය ගැටළු හේතුවෙන් ව්‍යාපෘතිය දියත් කිරීම මාස 05කින් ප්‍රමාද විය. සුරකිමු ශ්‍රී ලංකා සංවිධානයේ පූජ්‍ය පාහියන්ගල ආනන්ද සාගර හිමියන්ගේ උත්සාහය මත 2024.08.06 දින මෙහි ඉදිකිරීම් ආරම්භ කර ඇත. ඉදිකිරීම් සිදුවන ආකාරය මෙම වීඩියෝවේ දැක්වේ.

There is a constantly elephant crossing place in the railway line in Gadadivula-Kasikote which is located between Galgamuwa and Ambanpola railway stations.
The construction of the first wildlife tunnel will be built under the railway line to reduce the accidents caused by wild elephants being hit by trains. The project was started on 01.03.2024 in Galgamuwa-Gatadivula-Kasikote.
This wildlife tunnel is to be constructed under the the Mahawa-Omanthe railway reconstruction project. But due to technical and financial problems, the launch of the project was delayed by 05 months. Construction has started here on 06.08.2024 due to the efforts of Venerable Pahiangala Ananda Sagara Thero of Surakimu Sri Lanka Organization. This video shows how the construction is going on.
